It’s like as a mass corporation of movies, Universal is its (partially) universally (no pun intended) admirable self, yet somehow, as a game developer, it is a mass corporation of gaming so bad it would even make Nintendo look like Sony Interactive Entertainment (Sony is pretty much the anti-Universal because despite being far from the best mass corporation of films even though MCs aren’t well-known for having the highest of standards (especially when it’s Viacom with Nickelodeon, MTV and Paramount), they are so much better as a gaming company with fascinating IPs like Pac-Man World, Crash Bandicoot (mostly), MediEvil, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, God of War, Bloodborne, The Order: 1886 (from a production standpoint), Spyro the Dragon (mostly), Knack, Ape Escape, Spider-Man, etc).

Universal Interactive Studios, Vivendi Universal Games, and Sierra Entertainment didn't make the successful games of post Insomniac Games of Spyro the Dragon franchise either so Activision doesn't have to make anymore remakes of post Insomniac Games of Spyro the Dragon franchise either.

This is why Universal Interactive should've gave the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro franchises to probably Activision after their PS1 games since Universal Interactive couldn't come up with ideas and were also a bunch of @$$holes for forcing the developers to rush Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly to be released for the holiday of 2002 (which is why it suffers from very short length, lengthy loading times, numerous bugs and glitches, horrible frame rates, terrible controls, and lack of promised content) and even Crash Twinsanity when they were renamed Vivendi Universal Games, hell it was even reported that a boy suffered from epileptic seizures due to the horrible frame rates Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly has and that's what prompted his mother into suing the publishers and developers who worked on the game. (sigh) I wish a time machine is invented, I would travel back in time and make sure Activision probably buys Crash Bandicoot and Spyro from Universal, make sure we get that fourth Crash Bandicoot game that takes place after the events of the third entry and even make sure we get Spyro 4.

It has no boards, stars, etc. only the minigames and the warp rooms which came straight from previous Crash games.
Its basically just a Crash game with minigames instead of levels.
The only thing I dont like in the game is that the AI is way too unfair in adventure mode.

Had universal interactive not mistreated both Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games in 1999 and 2000, And Ruined both franchises, they still be in business today not merged with Activision But because of their stupidity and creating the Crash and Spyro games that weren't on par with Naughty Dog's Original Crash Bandicoot Trilogy and Insomniac's Original Spyro Trilogy they ended up merged with Activision and their existence as a publisher ceased as a result. This video does prove very true.

One of my favorite characters lke Tawna Bandicoot being removed because of Universal is the reason why i dislike Universal interactive / Vivendi, Her in Moulin Cortex being shown in Crash Twinsanity ( Which did not made sense like why would she be so interested on working at a job run by one of her enemies ) is like a sign of their hate towards her
So yeah she's looks pretty but she doesn't too sexual for what Universal has depicted, They could have not refuse on keeping her and accept Naughty Dog on having in the seauels, giving her more personality and ability to fight and of course redesign her a bit in case of not getting bitch complains from overprotective soccer moms
Despite the first Crash Bandicoot game being rated K.A for kids and adults, But Universal cared for kids most offen

I know they have quotas to meet and deadlines but the fact they had to get another developer to help them out, sanzaru games, really shows how much pressure they were under.

Though that said, we're hopefully less likely to get games stripped down to rush them out the door now.

The Ratchet and Clank reboot from 2016 was cool enough, and if the originals are indeed better, I definitely see where the hype over this franchise came from. But their best release yet was Spiderman, which is my favorite game to date. The sales of this game don't surprise me at all, given how much content and variety it has, with extra elements of flexibility, and with the only thing even remotely monetized being the DLC (which is pretty much buying a shorter but still awesome game in less than half the price, like Uncharted Lost Legacy is to Uncharted 4 A Thief's End). If the sequel would by even half as good, Insomniac have a great future ahead.

But since Naughty Dog and Insomniac moved on at PS2, I'm sure Sony could've gotten a more competent company and gave them the time and budget to make great games.
But the PS3 era unfortunately would be rough. Because everyone wanted to play as humans with guns at the time. Like COD. So why Ratchet manged to adapt. But Sly only had one game Post PS2 and Jak is MIA

Dragonfire2505 It's arguably worse, though, since the franchise is so held to its merchandizing lines they literally cannot take a break for anything. They gotta push out a new game nearly every year. They've only skipped seven years out of 23 years on the market with a main line game not dropping on store shelves. And yes, many of those years are remakes... But that arguably makes it even WORSE than it already was arguably worse, seeing as how they could instead of remaking a game for the umpteenth time, just put more resources into a new experience instead of dividing their teams and putting part of their work force on a remake.

Making a sequel every year wasn't all that difficult back in the day, especially if you already have an engine and some assets.
Back in the day you could make a AAA game for the PS1 with a team of a dozen people, that's how simple games were back then, nowdays you need 100+ people and about 3y minimum.
As for the PS2 games it was just a bad decision making on both the universal and the new rookie developers who weren't yet used to the PS2 architecture.
