The middle part was like a 90's music video or something. I know you made the soundtrack yourself, which a league beyond what an average RUclips creator offers on this platform, but that's the purest back to the 90's feel.
Small photography RUclipsr here. I too get grumpy when someone wants to nitpick something I've said. The problem is, sometimes they're right! Even then, I feel like I have to defend myself. I guess part of it is being frustrated with myself that I put out incorrect information.
The sad irony is when I stopped defending my point of views/getting into it with people on my channel, the comments went down sharply, along with views. RUclips arguably supports channels with people arguing more than they do people having respectful conversations.
If someone is right and you still feel the need to correct them, then thats insecurity, there nothing wrong about being incorrect if anything, stop looking at it like a win or defeat situation, look at it as a learning experience, like "Okay, I guess I am wrong but damn I actually learned something today" and that, is a positive take on it, not saying you should take their stuff at face value but rather look it up and then realise, "oh wait this is very interesting actually"

How do you like it? I was considering it for the Canon glass fun, but I heard the autofocus is jumpy in video (jumps from your face to the background)
@@yawningmarmot I bought the canon adapter and uses all my EF and EF-s glass. I get very frustrated with the EFS 55-250 with the adapter! The autofocus in video is painfully unreliable hunting back and forth 🤬 but it's a great little camera for the price and there is workarounds for most of the cripples 😁👍
@@yawningmarmot I tried to do a video on the weekend but dummy here didn't check the factory settings & I didn't realise it was set to Manual Focus. I didn't notice it on the screen as it was very sunny & hard to see. Wasn't till I downloaded it to edit I realised it was all blurry. That's when I checked the settings & found it on Manual Focus in the AF menu. I put it down to a senior moment.

Sigma primes unironically are really good, but certain DPReview basement dwellers who Kasey has been listening to too much about micro contrast told him otherwise about Sigma, when in reality, micro-contrast is entirely sensor related and I tested this on Zeiss, Leica primes and Sigma and no one can see difference, except when they are all mounted on an older camera, suddenly the difference is huge versus the images on the newer sensor. Ironic
4. It's only a 100 grams more

I should’ve expected when I opened your video that there’d be a chance I get attacked for preferring to adapt 3rd party primes, but it’s Saturday morning and I’m not even out of bed yet so I was not prepared.
You interact with your audience in a 1960s / 1970s kind of way. I like it. Everyone needs to learn to get over themselves, and not be so sensitive. Just get a prime lens, preferably from Sigma. We know what's best for you.

That ultra wide angle in combination with the close up filter is probably my favorite look ever for vlogging. + perfect stabe and no warping, that's a unique look mirrorless cams can't do.
I think public figures need to get to the point where they mentally separate their Public persona from their Real Life persona. You're blending your realities, so understanding the RUclips person we see and rag on, because after all that's the game you created here, is not a reflection of you the person. Hang in there, you're doing great!
You are unique! I tune in mostly to enjoy your style, and sometimes I do learn about lenses and stuff, though quite honestly I'm less interested in the tech than I am in your delivery.

I say this all the time in my videos, that there are very few people in the world who would speak in person in the same way that they speak on the Internet. If you’re looking somebody in their eyes, if you are feeling their energy in person in the actual real world, you’re gonna have a whole lot more empathy, a lot more restraint, you’re gonna consider the words that are about to come out of your mouth, for many reasons. I think there are so many people who simply don’t engage with other human beings outside of their little computer anymore, and that causes people to be a little bit more bold than what would be considered appropriate for any conversation. it just allows people to be a little bit more mean. A little bit more nasty. Cutting. Simply because they can. And for some reason that just makes certain people happy. I don’t know if they were bullied their whole life, or what their deal is, but they like the opportunity to suddenly be an asshole with no possibility of somebody clapping back at them. Let’s put it like that. The further we step away from our humanity, and the deeper we fall inside of our screens and keyboards, the more this kind of behavior will exist, and then when we do meet in person, we don’t know what to do. People get all upset over camera equipment among other things, and as you said at the beginning of this video, it ain’t all that deep. :-) Obviously tons of people love this channel, and so clearly, you’re doing it right, so I wouldn’t worry about the negativity that drops in here every once in a while, it’s a mirror of what you put out, which is kind of what your channel is all about. Tons of great information here, but also I think what sets you apart from other channels is that you like to stab at people, and for those who don’t understand that it’s just all in fun,that’s on them. They can just scroll away and watch another video, and I think people forget that. And you can do whatever you want to do on your channel, people forget that as well. When somebody crosses the line on my channel, or maybe I should say when I personally feel like somebody has crossed my line, I just delete the comment and block them, and it’s forgotten immediately because I know that person probably would never have said that to me in person. it’s just stupid. It’s not worth even thinking about for another second. Anyway, carry on, And once again, I don’t know how to tell a short story. :-)
There are so many things to watch and so little time. I watch your videos for your honest opinion and the way you phrase things, that can be very humorous. Who doesn't want to laugh? If you were mean and boring that would be a hard pass 😂 Oh, and your technical knowledge speaks for itself. I don't think anyone is questioning that.
I enjoy the wildlife tests (of course I have the same interest). Your whole persona on this channel is critical and snarky; I poke at my whole family like that, it is how we have fun. Yours is a fun channel and I like it that way, even if you were snarky with me.

Finding flaws is a manifestation of "sorting by exception" it's a very valuable trait. Absolutely essential in the design process at the refinement stage. You just have to keep it out of the blue sky initial ideation phase or you lose too much potential.

I moved from an R5 to an X-T5 because the weight savings is greater to me than the difference in tech. Hiking all day with a pack full of camera gear will have one quickly realize a couple hundred grams can be a big deal.

you're not the only camera guy i know who doesnt respond well to comments sometimes. RooReviews was released his insta 360 ace pro review after having the camera for 6 months because, one because its hard sitting on your couch and getting high for months on end and two because insta360 was about to ask for the camera back.
He made a review that said the same basic things that every other Ace Pro review said. Two complaints were the Leica lens worth it and the price. I suggested checking out the Ace. He got on his high horse about how he shouldn't need to get one and my opinions aren't legitimate. I kind of wish the canoe in his video would have capsized with him on it.
There were some deep philosophical thought in this... but mostly what I learned from the video was that ultra wide with hand-gestures makes you look like you have spaghetti arms.

Seeing as I've binged an unhealthy amount of your content over the past 3-4 days, I'd like to ask a question: How would you rate the 3D pop factor of the TTArtisans 50mm .95 Toneh? I find it to be a nice flavor of chinesium, but my underdeveloped hobo-sapien mind struggles to obtain focus below f2. This is for Micro Four-Thirds by the way, crop factor be damned. (Also you've convinced me I need the Summilux 25mm f1.4 and I'm not happy about it)

I've been following you for years and never taken offense at ANYthing you've said or done.
Point #1: People have no sense of humor anymore and no idea of how to take a joke.

Well, Kasey, I'm in my early 70s now and processed my first photos around 1960. Have run the film gamut from 35mm (Argus C3) to 4x5 view, with 2 1/4 square (aka 6x6) as my main focus (see what I did there? Yeah, its a Dad joke). My 1st digital SLR was a Nikon D40 which I immediately returned and got a D90 instead. (Still have a soft spot for the D90 despite that gawdawful "keep it on the down low" intro vid I can no longer find on YT!)
Over time I migrated to ::shudder:: Canon T31. I currently use an R10 and an R8. RF consumer grade lenses: 24-104 f7.1, 100-400 f8 and primes 16 2.8, 28 2.8, 50 1.8 and 85 f2 "macro" (ever notice that saying "85 1.2" sounds fine but for some reason "85 2" just sounds off? Like the 2 NEEDS the "f".) Having had multiple hand surgeries this past year I need light weight gear.
ANYWAYZZZ, while I never shoot video, Camera Conspiracies is one of my favorite YT channels. The content is interesting and brings up a surprising array of topics one usually won't find on YT. I also love hearing those refs to gear from bygone days. And because it is refreshing to hear someone not influenced by the Camera Illuminati expressing themself with an unmatched level of humor. Keep it up and do not feel one bit guilty or discouraged (unless, of course, you were joking but if you were joking or if you were serious...well...keep it up!)
Ultra wide looks pretty decent imo - really giving Mr Fantastic a run for his money with that hand talking.

In fairness to those of us who might see this channel as less serious: some of the videos you have published have been, as you mention here, so focused on the negatives of a camera that it can leave someone ill-informed about what the tradeoffs are, because it is always an equation between all the specs, price, ergos, real world experience, lens eco, etc. You just can’t half-ass highly critical videos unless you are cool with it being for the laughs, and you can’t expect people to have watched everything you put out to fill in the blanks.❤ n’ 🤗
If you want people listening for advice, you shouldn’t start an argument about how bad the G9s full HD is(non slowmo), when it was and still is up there with the best in business. It completely smoked my 5D III, my 80D, my A7S2 and even nowadays my A6700 in 1080p. Especially as you didn’t have the camera anymore.
Or right now where you probably would tell me my sigma 10-18 has worse stabilization than my Sony 11 1.8 on the A6700 without ever using any of that.
Or telling us that 👋Panasonic👋does👋not👋sync👋stabe👋on👋Olympus. But the 12-60 Panasonic was the by far most stable Lens I ever used on my EM1 mark2. I could run around with it using the camera one handed shooting a friend who’s running next to me. Even if the stabe didn’t officially sync, it was insanely good.
I still think you provide good value with nice real world examples of lots of gear, instead of just shooting a flat wall or some shot, but sometimes the stubbornness is getting in your way.

@@jazzafficianado 4 out of the 6 cameras i mentioned aren't mft. Two full frame and two apsc. The only sensor size I don't use anymore is mft.
Forget about the noobs who don't even know what's a Toneh. You're channel brings a lot of value from a global video point of view, you may not be as accurate as Gerald Undone on a specific camera but you test so much things that you helped me understand a lot of concepts. And you're funny too, but I really love the way you reveal every cons to any item.......even if you sometimes neatpick a bit. Keep it up bro, stay just as you are ❤❤
