Homelessness is a growing issue for the UK with more than 300,000 people living on the streets. Many of these people don't even make it onto the official figures.
The Unseen is an organisation we set up to give Homeless people a platform to have their stories and their struggles heard. We also want everyday people to have an opportunity to understand what leads a person into being Homeless. We at the The Unseen believe that everybody has a responsibility to help the unfortunate.
We want employers and regular people to support the homeless towards getting back into work and off the streets.
We hope their stories can touch the hearts of many.
Living on the street is no way to live.

I get that not everyone is built the same way, but I've been homeless more than once, I've lost all my family due to death and have been abused, but still managed to get my life together. He seems weak and ungrateful

Very ungrateful, 2p is better than nothing and it's the thought that counts and its better than a kick in the head like some do

He is very ungrateful for any help that he gets.He should try and help himself a bit more and ditch the drugs. What annoys me is people give him food and he complains about it. It seems he just wants money and more of it.

There are other reasons why some people might not want to talk to homeless people and it's not because you're homeless. Many people are shy of strangers or have fear of strangers. Most people in the UK ignore strangers EVEN if they are living in a home. It's the mentality of most people in Britain. On buses or trains, most people do not talk to each other. It has nothing to do with homelessness.

I was homeless for years. I know straight away the decent people and who's not. This bloke just wants he's gear money. He maybe a decent bloke underneath but u can hear in he's voice that there's no passion. Bet u he's got a place to stay at and just out to get gear money. Either way I pray that he finds he's way. I was lucky to get out of it all

@Ty Cornish so he says. Amazing how many homeless people say they had a business. Listen I was on street for years. I had unreal bad shit happen in my life but I will never moan about. Only I could help myself. No excuses and self pity. I have sympathy but I'm telling ya a lot of homeless don't want help koz they make so much money for gear. I had a spot in Stratford and I got more than enough cash that's y I stayed living rough for so long. There not all the same but don't always fall for there stories. If u want out of that life there is a way they just sometimes don't choose it

@@dannysouthendutdramsay1212 I agree Danny. I was homeless many a time from 18yrs old to 29, I say many a time as I don't count squatting, sofa surfing, prison, drug dens, night shelters, hostels, tenting it etc as being " homeless ". Being homeless to me was sleeping in abandoned cars, behind buildings next to the heating fan, inside high rises on the steps, car parks etc. This guy first of all looks pinned up, second might have a track mark/hole on his left hand & seems bitter & angry he's not getting his drops fast enough & big enough. We've all heard the " lost my business, wife, home, kids " etc patter, you perfect it over the yrs as you know.

Still grumbling at a pound . Most of these don't want help. Want their drugs and looking for the next hit. Lots of them have houses also they have associates who will work opposite ends of the street or town then pool their money's together. The cost of living now most of these people are better off than us with homes . I am not fooled by some of these videos. Good to watch and interesting content

I watch a lot of your interviews but this one comes across as an entitled individual who just wants money for his habit and is angry and impatient the handouts are coming as.quick as he expects . I can put my last penny on it if he was actually housed and given a job he’ll be right back out on the street because charity is the only life he is used to . Even at the end with the gift voucher he wasn’t very grateful. He complained about the free food he complained about everything. We may not all be homeless but we all have problems mate . Some people are genuinely homeless and will sort their lives if they are given the help they need but this isn’t one of them .

I was not being harsh at all I was voicing what I and several other people had observed about the interviewee . I apologise if to you I sounded harsh

@@olumidekolajo4133 you are probably right about Africa, you have to be much stronger there, but we all make bad choices sometimes, it's just a shame to see people left to rot.
