    What has helped me recently is learning about overwhelm;
    WHen i get the feeling of overwhelm (which is the only emotion i seem to struggle with), instead of panicking like i would do at one point, i'm learning to accept the feeling and hope it passes, when I first started to recover, I avoided doing anything that was stressful or overwhelming and i was able to stay in state of peace 90% of the time, but I felt like I needed a bit more from life, than just being peaceful, so now i'm learning to embrace the feelings of being stressed or overwhelemed when I try something new, it means life can be a bit more exciting,

      Yesss! I love this explanation from the emotional perspective! What you say is so true. Learning how to regulate our emotions and ESPECIALLY our stress response/ response to overwhelm is a crucial part of recovery. Thank-you so much for sharing this wisdom with all of us! 🥰 So happy for your recovery.

      Awe thankyou so much, Melissa! That's so sweet of you to say. I guess you had a lot of faith in my healing process as well, maybe even more than I did myself. ☺

      I love cheering you on from afar!
      I was just looking at the functional ability scale and I’ve been able to recover from 20-30% this time last year to about 70% now. It is so exciting to see and appreciate and celebrate that!! 🎉
      I have chronic EBV, POTS, CFS, FM and last October I had Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (broken heart syndrome) and 2 heart attacks as a result of that.
      I’ve had CFS since I was 18 - 27 years but I still believe in my ability to heal because I’ve done it before. In 2016 I was probably in the best shape of my life. I was working part time as a nurse practitioner but I got laid off (no fault of my own) and took a full time job and was exercising a lot. it was a huge mistake. I crashed hard in 2017 and am still recovering.
      I switched careers and after taking some time off I now work from home. I have made great progress in the last year and I’m excited to continue improving.
      For me listening to and honoring my body, calming my NS, accepting my limitations and resting/pacing have been key!

    That's great that you are able to do a regular day. But what did you do to achieve that?

      Everything I talk about on my whole channel. :) It's not just one or two things. I've changed the entirety of how I live my life, how I treat my body and myself emotionally. In the deep stages of recovery- tons of rest and removing as many external sources of stress from my life as possible. But then as I got deeper into healing I had to really address regulating my nervous system, regulating my emotions and reducing those internal sources of stress I was carrying with me (mindsets and perceptions), had to let go of fear, guilt and shame around symptoms and being sick and not being able to work and having to give up my old life, processing grief, surrenduring and letting go of expectations, acceptance of where I was now, listening to and honoring my body's needs and limitations, diving deep into my childhood programming to break patterns of people-pleasing and overgiving and overworking myself while always putting my own needs on the backburner because I held the subconscious belief my whole life that my own needs didn't matter and it was my job to keep everyone else around me happy. I also had to learn how to detach my sense of self-worth from my accomplishments because I made myself sicker always pushing myself so hard to prove my worth. So with all of this said, you can see that it's not a simple answer as to "what I did to heal" because its multi-faceted and runs DEEP. For physical healing to occur, we have to go deeper than the physical level. We have to address the mental/emotional level as well. Along with all of this, I've changed my lifestyle to one that focuses on holistic wellness, slow & simple living, minimalism, essentialism, more time in nature, etc. This loooong answer is why I need my entire channel to dedicate to answering the question lol. I hope you'll watch some of my videos to learn more. :)
