Hello Karen how’s the weather over there
Beautiful baby that will grow up to be a beautiful horse. We adopted a perfect medicine hat paint baby just hours after birth, his mother died in birth. Phoenix as he came to be know grew up with his Granny Sue (Chunky Farm Belgian) starting Feb of 2000. Phoenix had two blue eyes, w/eyeliner, a medicine hat cap, and a smattering of colour on his back an tail as if you'd took a paint brush and flicked the paint on him. Phoenix, myself and countless 5 gallon pails of Foalac powdered milk got to be great friends. This video brought out so many precious memories, founder took him away from us in mid 2017 ... I know he's waiting for us at Rainbow Bridge. In closing this message ... Animals are proof God really does love us, and wants us to be happy.
Truer words have never been s0oken! Amen ...
Amen!

This is just so beautiful. I never seen those colors before🐴💕
I've had the good fortune to have had and bred 3 medicine her paints . Being a filly she has a 75% chance of producing color 😁🤠
Beautiful little filly no wonder native Americans prefer them
Coconut is beautiful!
Beautiful horses. I had 30 horses.
30!! That's 2 full time jobs! You must have been very, very busy. What an amazing experience. You should write a book. 👋🏼🙋🏽♀️✌🏽
She is absolutely gorgeous.
Spectacular.
She is beautiful! If I had her tbh I would never sell her like she is so cute and beautiful
So beautiful 😍
Pretty lil colt.
What makes her “mythical” is her “Medicine Hat” and “shield” on her chest.
Those two marking combined would make her revered in the old days by tribes!
Exactly. Thank you. Can’t believe this is posted (like it is a recent foaling)
Equarg that's exactly what I was thinking

Yes she is so beautiful
She's got a mark over her heart too. Her confirmation us amazing.
Hello Lisa how’s the weather over there
That chest marking would be called a "Shield" on the "Medicine Hat" coloring of lil'Coconut. I hope this baby girl grew up to be the most she could accomplish in her in her life .💕

Coconut is truly splendid!!!
So beautiful 🤩
Horse 🐴 one Animal (sorry) that i LOVE ❤️ after DOG 🐕!!! I ALL Animals are beautiful 😍!!!!
Very mystical. Coconut was born several years ago. Very famous horse. Wonder who bought her?
I spent 10 years working, showing, breeding and selling paint horses. That horse (coconut) was way over priced. Medicine Hat or not, it would take a lot more than that to fetch $74k. If her sire and damn were world class (took first in some class at the World PaInt Horse Show in DFW) maybe so. But in the horse industry it takes more that a Medicine Hat.
@@awafful8037 Yes, they tried to take advantage of Social Media fame. She really isn't that special.
@@awafful8037
Those were my thoughts too! I showed halter horses for a long time too.
Same thoughts...
Their Just drumming up the story for views
Beautiful 💕
Very BEAUTIFUL, why would you sell her??? I would keep her ????????
Do you have a few thousand extra dollars every month lying around for supporting an additional horse? For up to thirty years?
Thank you for that reply ??
It's a business for them. It's no different for them than selling a car.
Why did they sell her?
1. Don't believe everything u see on internet. Believe they says things to gain views.
2. They kept her on own farm. Would cost 1-2k a year to keep where I live. (Dogs can be more expensive) BUT When you breed you usually don't keep all of them.
Breeding her & selling foals could have offset her overhead costs. Lots of other reasons.
Also this color is not so rare in the paint breed world.
💯Agreed, Felt that also, if I had a rare colt and was in the business of selling, I would have found the right stallion, possibly a solid white to breed her with, then mabey more medicine hat horses would be around. They come up with all kinds of colors and breeds with other animals why not horses. Just think they made 74,000 by selling COCONUT, they could have made that x10.😎
Cutie
Coconut you are beautiful.
I had a beautiful Medicine Hat Stallion born from my wonderful APHA mare. He was born in 1997.
She also has a tribal shield on chest.
Mounds of Almond Joy for sure. COCONUT!!!!
I would love to have seen that horses
Coconut is a beautiful horse, but I prefer the Clydesdale, of which I had 3. A Mare, a Stalion, and an offspring, of their's. At 73 I still think of them, but am not sure that I would be up to the task, of caring for them.
Memories ❤
My Aunt had a Belgium mare. Sweet as pie :)
@ Earl Lutz
THAT IS MAGNIFICENT !!!
If I may, my ol' man, my dad, was in the Horse Cavalry before WWII was mechanized. Needless to say, he knew horses from the arse end in. Me, born in 1957 was obsessed with that and wore his khaki jodphurs and boots. But I was raised on a large dairy farm in the Catskill mountains and we had a registered Morgan, 17 hands high and he was mean. With 250 head of dairy cow, the mountains were their pasture and when we let the horses out, they almost had to be broke again, whenever they came back.... Oh, he would rear at me in his stall when I was in there. I wasn't scared but he was mean. Well, the only ones who could ride him was my cousin, Ruth and my dad. His ears were always back but it was so cool to see how cool, confident, relaxed my ol' man was when he rode John, as you could see John following every command with no bad behavior - you could just tell he hated it but knew whoever was riding him was never harsh, they were excellent horse men.
Your Clydesdales had to be absolutely beautiful. You just LOVED having them.
Even with no detail, stories, it's an awesome comment and thank you for sharing it!
She appears to have more “spot” than “background color”. Is she perhaps a simultaneous Tobiano - Overo combination? (Two different types of spotting in horses. Tobiano is dominant, Overo recessive, and they produce different spot patterns.)
It's called Tovero. It's not all that uncommon. Medicine Hats are usually considered Toveros.
Oh no I pray they didn't sell her!! She is simply beautiful!! Beautiful markings! If she was mine no amount of money would be enough for me to get rid of her, maybe it's the Cherokee in me or maybe just the simple fact I LOVE horses but she is to beautiful to get rid of...I really hope they didn't sell "Coconut"
A Spirit horse and a filly at that. Medicine Hat horses are precious and valued in the Native American culture. It is a great prize to own one.
Don't like that there is no ending where is she now!
here is a sad story about one of the foals at the barn i go to: So we have 4 minis/miniature horses a mini named Treasure was pregnant we didn't exactly know who she mated with due to us having 2 females and 2 stallions (i saw a picture of her it might've been the spotted one/paint) but it was quite random of her actually being pregnant and we did not know if it was the same month or around the same month as the foal we have. She was most likely bred in the month where she would have her baby in January/Febuary we did not bring her inside expecting her to have her baby later. She had her child out in the cold the baby was all cleaned off she probably only lived for a few hours and just laid down and died in her sleep.
Medicine Hat horses are very rare.
My friend had a paint that was white with a black head. She named him Spook.
Gorgeous girl, how Could they sell her?
Quite possibly because they do not need or cannot support another horse. If you've never owned horses you wouldn't understand but mine cost me more than a second mortgage every month. Not everyone has the luxury of keeping a foal/filly, knowing it's another equine to support for as much as thirty years.
We have God to thank for this unique paint horse. The American Indians called it a Medicine Man horse, attributing it's stunning appearance to the Great Spirit.
Medicine Hat, not Medicine Man. It's just a color pattern.
@@littlebitofhope1489 thanks for taking the time to let me know the correct name for this horse. I'm an amateur when it comes to equines, but I appreciate their beauty, abilities and nature. My favorites are the Gypsy vanna, akhal teke, blue roan, and Arabian. When I get a few pennies together I'm going to get a few photographs to put on my walls. Again thank and Godbless.
@@florescarol9159 Gypsy Vanners are great. Blue Roan is a color, not a breed. Her actual color is called Tovero. The Medicine Hat is just the part over her ears. The spot on her chest is called a Shield. I have a Miniature Horse right now. Good luck with your pictures.
Horses do NOT have fur. They have HAIR.
And this time of year it starts coming out in gobs!
@@Hawatt11 for sure! My DD's old Chincoteague pony is the one that seems to shed the most. Shouldn't be too long before I have enough hair for another pony.
We native English speakers refer to baby horses as foals.
I first heard of these from Red dead redemption, who says you don't learn anything from video games : )
They sold this horse!?
It's called a 'foal'
"filly."
@@Hawatt11 'foal ' until she is one year old.
So, was Coconut shown or bred?
Looks like my girl but mine has les brown markings on side.
Beautiful filly. What does she look like now? Medicine Hat horses are not that rare. I have seen several. Hope she brings you good luck.
Indeed they are also quite common in the Icelandic horsebreed, usually it is inherited in that breed, some stallions produce dominantly medicine hat foals. The foals are mostly chestnut on 80% white bodies, color on the head and the tail end.
Coconut you're a gift to us all, thank you Jesus
No way would I sell Coconut.
That is called a foal.
"filly"
@@Hawatt11
She won't be FILLY until she's A YEAR OLD!!!
They ended up selling her?
They just made me feel like horse breeders are a breed of their own...... rotten! Now that beautiful teen has no family family no one seemed to write or care in this article about where she went and I think it's disgusting
Yes horse breeders sell horses to people who want to own and enjoy riding a horse. Where did you think people got them from?
Where else are people supposed to get horses ? The point of breeding them is to sell them to a new owner who will care for them -
What a deceptive title. What a disappointing video.
Medicine Hat Tobiano Paint Quarter side
$74,000?! Just for a coat color?! Christ...
Dont believe it
Wonder why they sold her. I would have insured her and made her into a show horse.
Medicine Hat
I thought Coconut was pure white?
I've raised paint horses for over 50 years and there's absolutely nothing special about a medicine hat.
Yes there is...sun burned lips 😬😂 & lots of wonderblue shampoo
@@IvySnowFillyVideos lol so true
A Medicine Hat.
Hopefully no one labels her a white supremacist.
What, that's IT, the medicine hat? I saw it in the thumbnail and thought it might be PART of the reason for the hyperbolic title and long lead up about the owners, paint horses, horse pregnancy, etc. but seriously a medicine hat is only "rare", NOT "incredibly" or "extremely" rare. Just google image the term and you'll see tons of them, and who knows how many more aren't on google. LOL!
It's not just about that and these horses are extremely rare. So tell me how many brown or black or tan horses are there??
@@ITSONLYMEWATCHING I guess it depends on what numbers we're talking about here. I think the fact that you can easily find lots of pictures of medicine hat horses (in a time when when horses themselves aren't nearly as common as they used to be, because we don't need them for transportation) tells me the marking is only rare, not extremely rare. You are free to disagree. I don't think there is anything wrong with a video being made about a cute medicine hat foal, by the way, but the hyperbole used to get views is the problem. They're acting like it was born with two heads or something, lol!
Why would you sell her. I couldn't.
Should have done your homework and found out “if” coconut was sold AND where she went.
Btw. She’s not THAT rare, in the breeding world she would be called “flashy”… not rare!
Medicine Hat.
This foal was born NINE YEARS ago, a little late to tell her story, don’t you think!!!
