Damn dude that’s rough. Got me tearing up on a horse story:) My brother-in-law (62) lost his wife of 30 yrs to cancer last year and was pretty torn up for a while. After about a year of grieving he decided he could no longer be alone and knew my sister-in-law wanted him to go on and live the rest of his life to the fullest. He started trying to meet women on several dating services and after many months of not finding the right fit he met a wonderful woman and they’ve fallen in love and are making plans to move in together. He still keeps his wife’s picture on his living room wall and speaks of her often. It WILL get better with time and I’m sure your wife would’ve wanted the same for you. Life’s a short journey so good luck living the rest of yours.

I felt like crying when you described him running his little heart out, trying to get the attention of the others. I remember feeling like that as a little boy. I felt his innocent pain. Thank you for this video. It's not a video of a little horse, it's a video about our hearts and souls, all of us, human and animal alike.

Thank you for rescuing Mama, why in the heck would anyone breed her at that age. I'd think it'd be very dangerous for the Mama and of course could add even more issues than dwarfs already deal with. BUT, all is well in this case and so wonderful to see!! Little Teddy looks like he is chock FULL of personality and enjoys every minute of his life, it was so sweet how protective Eleanor was even though Teddy ( perfect name for him!) was ostracized for a while. He looks like he's making up for lost time! And I have what is probably an ignorant question but here goes- is it true there are no true dwarf horses, that they were bred to be smaller and smaller ( though I don't understand how to breed them to be SMALLER) simply for money, like " designer" dogs? They have such a multitude of health issues, thus the reason for my question. Thank you!

i wish people stopped treating horses like walking cars. Im ok with horse riding but as long as it doesnt tire out the horse (im talking about tourist horses) and the life conditions are good. But most of the time this is not the case :(

When he's running his little heart out, my eyes well up, at the sight of him living his best life. I wish all the animals of the world could experience the pure glee Teddy has when he's running free. ❤🐎
We had a 28 yr old mare we rescued when I was a teen. Bones poked thru her skin and she had no teeth. She couldn't graze or eat hay. She could barely get up if she went down. She wanted to be around our horses but they were too rough. Old Lady got better as we fed warm, wet mash and soaked hay several times a day. One morning as I did chores we had an extra horse in the barn! He was our neighbor's 32 yr old stallion, a total softy. Called the neighbor and they walked Old Boy home and he nickered all the way home. A month later Old Boy passed and was buried with all his tack. A good send off. The next year, Old Lady was still delicate but her skin and coat were shiny and she was a little more filled out. You guessed it!! She was Old Boy's last fling. Lady foaled in a sleet storm. The colt was weak and fell into a ditch. His Momma made so much noise we were able to rescue her son. Amazingly she actually had colostrum for him. No other horses could get close to her box stall at all. She passed when he was 3 weeks old and we bottle fed him. Sometimes no one "let's" a mare get bred. Sometimes it is just fate and a last fling kind of thing. Two happy geriatric horses made one tough little colt who lived a full, busy life and he passed at 26. I am still amazed.

@@JW-vd4il Since they got her an auction, it is possible that they really didn't have a lot of background information on Eleanor. Often if horses aren't sold at auctions they are slaughtered. It's sad that there are thousands of horses in the U.S. sent to be slaughtered when they could live out the rest of their lives on a farm.

Are you on board with the idea of tigers, crocodiles, and other violent beasts lunching on human flesh and bone? These beasts used to present TERRIBLE problems in certain parts of the globe.

Oh my gosh this is just to cute and gorgeous for words...the small ones are the strongest. One of my cats was the runt of the litter and small as my hand as a kitten but she was such a character and lived until she was 22, I still miss her so much.
