A still evolving process of two riffs that should not be linked but are because it's fun :) Not left-handed by the way, just the camera orientation as I don't have a tripod for it.
Dude, not sure if you're subbed to LetsTalkAboutMathRock but you should really join one of his Tuning Wars videos. Get your name out there. Really enjoyed this.
Recently got wisdom teeth removed. This was in my history, along with some other midwest emo videos, but I don't remember watching it. The sedation got me thinking I'm in a dream.
Just stumbled on this vid for thr first time. So sick man! Discovered this tuning through the band Covet and this song is a perfect example of why i love it so much. Its melancholy and hopeful at the same time. Awesome job bro!
Not yet I'm trying to get the funds together to record a full length, so it will be at some point I just have no idea when, thanks for checking it out!
Appreciate the comment, thank you :D. Playing full major/minor chords really help with finger placement and dexterity, I'm no professional or anything, my advice would be to play something you enjoy and keep chipping away at it until you are satisfied with how it sounds then go from there. Nothing on guitar comes easy, that's for sure, but if you play even 10 minutes a day playing full power chords where you use three fingers (index, ring and pinky), it'll give you something to look towards. As far as right hand, I don't really have a method or a way to go about it, I'm really into metal, specifically thrash stuff so i pretty much just did what those songs needed until I was able to :P Above all, i just really enjoy playing and writing stuff so if you're having fun it's not really practice at all Hope that made sense, again thanks for the kind words and keep at the guitar my guy, lots of people made livings off of only playing two strings :D
Don't be down on yourself, I'm nothing spectacular and trust me, Josh Middleton is my favorite guitarist so I have that same feeling all the time lol As long as you're playing and having fun, that's all that matters :D
@@dannyvalentine468 Yes who knew, tho what is funny I don't really listen to midwest emo stuff, I wasn't aware of the genre. I just heard this tuning tuning by chance and said hey that's cool I'll try it out, and I absolutely love it and it's amazing how it has resonated with people
The strange thing is I never thought about time signatures when writing it. Once i tabbed it out I realized that the part before the fast picking was 3/4, then the faster part was 3 bars of 4/4 then the last part 5/4. So i guess you'd technically call it mixed meter, but it was not intended :D
@@SoonAfterOfficial or save some money for a sound card and a mic you can already do a lot with this. it could also be useful for some future projects who knows
Great job! I'm a left-handed player but it looked like your video was flipped cos the print in the background and on your shirt looked backwards. Are you a righty or a lefty?
I believe there's only two notes on the 12th, one on the B string and D string but in this tuning, they make an octave, so maybe you could get away with it easier than you think :D

Pretty sure i've seen that name kicking around, appreciate the kind words thank you :)
Sounds like a cross between Adam's Song by Blink 182 and Emily by From First to Last. I dig it ! 🤙
Hey I'll take that everytime, thanks :D
@k-pipes I thought that too! It sounded great though! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
reminds me of the entertainer as well at some points
This is pretty accurate
I thought it was only me who recognised Adam´s Song

Cool, that's kinda what I was going for, a shoegazey ish ethereal sound

How does one become good at this? I only play by pressing down one to two strings.
