Check youre main jet its should be around 75-80 size(50cc) this also depends on sircumstances. But between that it should be good. Check the idle jet its should be around 33 size and for the idle mixture screw do it 1,5 turn
Thank you. This information is hard to find..I live at sea level. I use an 80 main jet and 33 idle. Still the cold idle is still instable but once warmed up it is fine. Very hard to tune these 4t 50 cc carbs.
@@frednetherlands887 i would reccomend a 2t carb like 20mm for fone tuning. I got 24mm carb 4t from naraku and its the best carb that i have. My setup is 90cc head and cilinder a9 cam from naraku. Vct complete from naraku everything naraku. Inlet 24mm naraku. Malossi airfilter. Gear ratio idk but upgraded. Top speed 75mph
@@frednetherlands887 it really lights up. please understand that they are Chinese scooter engines and the Chinese don't look that carefully during the manufacturing of them. I am a mechanic for scooters and cars here in the Netherlands and I recently had 2 of the same scooters with a gy6 139qmb I did some tests with them such as changing a cdi with unlimited rpm one scooter drove 60kmph and the other 85 t it just depends on how and what the condition of the block is. if you really want to be sure of your stuff. change the top of your block to premium parts such as naraku cylinder or cylinder head better finish and no compression loss via the valve seat or the piston rings these components are fragile in a gy6 engine and are usually the causes of a poorly running gy6 engine.
Thats normal, your choke is working properly. When is cold is letting more fuel through (running rich) until the engine gets warm. when is warm is on the close position. You said when is warm is runs good. So there was no need to do all this

Hi, did you find the cause? I have a very similar problem on a speedfight 4. Starts and idles just fine, but can't throttle until it's had a minute or it will just bog down. Starts and runs great when warm...
Hi! No, got it working for a while but then had problems again (just cleaning the carb). I got tired of the carburetor and have changed to a slide carburetor pz19. Video will hopefully come after summer / winter.
@@ScooterSimplicity Thanks! I managed to solve it. The fuel mix was simply too rich. Some grit in the fuel mix screw gave it a false bottom and what I believed to be 1.5 turns was something else!
Thats normal as well, any vehicle that works with a carburetor has to be warm before riding/driving. If you start it and try to take off right away it will bug out

@@frednetherlands887 i know i build one by myself gy6 139qmb
@@lucabot5518 Thank you. So I am not the only one with the problem with a too rich cold idle but a perfect running warm engine?

So when u first start the choke is open allowing fuel and air, and when it warms the choke extends limiting fuel and air is that right?
Yes, that's how I interpret it too.
It only limits fuel when its out :)
I have 2 stroke scooter choke broke, can I block it off an run

Can i run my scooter without a chooker?
no, dc its ac.
Probably should have tested the power source on the machine itself to make sure you didn't lose power or ground to the joke

I changed the main jet and did a valve adjustment it made mine stop doing that
Mine was a bad coil
Bad coil can do this
