      By the way- you can buy darning needles with a slightly curved tip- this may, or may not, be easier than a full curve but I thought I'd mention

    Great video, but do have any tips for when you can’t get the needle through the satin?

      What I like to do is dance on them a little bit so that the satin gets a little looser and it's easier to get the needle through!

    Ok so I darn my pointe shoes but just the tip to make a stable platform. What is the purpose of darning the whole entire surface.

    What thread are you using? It looks fine and gives a lovely finish compared to the thick one I have?

      I think it’s cotton. Anything else would be too slippery

      Its embroidery cotton for needlework like drawn thread, embroidery and cross stitch.

    What size thread are you using x
