Thank you for including the old fashioned way of sewing ribbons! Its still a nice hack when you run out of elastic, but still need a functional pair of pointe shoes in a jam.
Thank you so much for making all these videos! They are so helpful and clear! I wish your videos were more popular! They deserve proper recognition!
What stitching method do you recommend for non-invisible elastic? It is harder to work with it comes with my daughters point shoe. I love your tutorial.
ur voice is so pretty !! 😭
Really enjoyed the video! Tysm
thank you so much! I just got my first pair of pointe shoes and this video helped so much!🥰
Beautiful stitching. Pointe shoes are so delicious to behold!
Ok so I darn my pointe shoes but just the tip to make a stable platform. What is the purpose of darning the whole entire surface.
Just extra grip
thanks for this, but it would have been helpful if you told us what weight that thread was♥☻☺ blessings to you♥☻☺ Have a great day♥☻☺
My daughter was fitted with her 1st pair of pointe shoes today and we are so excited and proud of her. Thank you for your video it was very helpful.
Facinating application of the technique
By the way- you can buy darning needles with a slightly curved tip- this may, or may not, be easier than a full curve but I thought I'd mention
Whereonline can I buy the 1st protector you showed that looks like it was darned?
very helpful and love the cat!
Why does it cost $50 more for pointe shoes that have suede tips built in when the suede tips themselves cost $5 per pair? The manufacturing process include a last step of sticking the leather outer sole and it could be longer to cover the tip. How’s that $50 more?
Never seen ballet shoes sewn like this.
Your videos are so informative! Keep it up! x
What thread are you using? It looks fine and gives a lovely finish compared to the thick one I have?
I think it’s cotton. Anything else would be too slippery
Its embroidery cotton for needlework like drawn thread, embroidery and cross stitch.
Great video, but do have any tips for when you can’t get the needle through the satin?
What I like to do is dance on them a little bit so that the satin gets a little looser and it's easier to get the needle through!
What size thread are you using x
Thank you! This was so helpful :)
