Keep up the great work
Will it work with 2016 Escape. I haven't found a way to watch videos yet. I finally got it to 3.4 and switched my USB (console) to an updated version but I still can't figure what I need for video viewing.
This was exactly what I was wondering. I can save $100+ on the Sync 2 to 3 upgrade by not buying the USBs, cable, and bracket. I suspect those are required for apple play because of a higher power draw? Maybe? but as an android user I expect the same results as you. USB is USB.
I will say, I ended up going back to the original hub and just dealing with the message after a few weeks because for some reason, with the straight cable, I kept getting random disconnects. It may be just a faulty cable I used, but it was clearly getting disconnects quite often when I get no random disconnects with the original hub and just dealing with the initial popup.
Hi have questions! I have 2011 ford explorer with a sync2 so if i get that mini usb cable i connect to my phone to
Mirror to my screen ? Or what do you think whats going to happen?
How do you program the radio. I got a new sync 3 radio. But not sure of what as built data to use to program it. Because when I look online for it on fords service thing. It won't show it, I have forscan to use with a dongle. But don't know what to put in the data boxes.
I had this problem as well. On FORScan, I ended up getting it to work by pressing the Default AB and writing it, then restarting the vehicle a couple times. Hope this helps.
