@@villepore7013Seems recent rumors are that the Dera is indeed in the next batch, alongside the likes of Sicarus, Cestra, and two other weapons I currently can't remember. There's already Rivens for the lot of them being traded.
My first gun I fell in love with. The noise and bullets are just so satisfying. Took me so long to get the vandal version. Was really surprised when the vandal sounded even BETTER
I'm a man of only a few things: Assault rifles (in video games) that don't have any gimmicks, simple gameplay, and lovely youtuber voices. You, mr. Gentlemanz, check all the boxes here! And elsewhere in other videos. Spectacular as always, looking forward to more! Could you perhaps take a look at Tigris Prime? I feel like that would have REALLY good chance for boomstick potential, but I simply don't quite know how to make it work, y'know? If not, still looking forward to the next one! Thanks again, cheers!
Not sure if he's going to see this, but if you want a weapon for Primary Plated Round, try the Kuva Kohm. 208 round magazine, and with a little bit of fire rate you can chew through all of it in the 10 second buff window, and the buff gives something ridiculous like 600% increased damage. I use it on my Valence Formation Lavos and just shred hordes of enemies and then skate down the hall to pick up all the ammo and health orbs. I also run Viral/Heat on it, and then slap corrosive on with Valence Formation, and my hound applies gas and electric, so Galv Savvy goes nuts.
@@KorporalNoobs it would gotva prime is just a normal assault rifle in the game and the only "gimmick" is the increased crits from puncture procs if you can count that as a gimmick but it's really nice
I remember having a blast with the normal Dera when I am new at the game even though I am a little bit disappointed that it is not a rail gun seeing the gap between barrels.
Ooh, I was excited for this one. As I always liked the Dera Vandal, but it was a low priority for investing in. When Duviri came out, I used it as an excuse to put full builds in EVERYTHING. I was so regularly surprised by how well his worked, that I saved the Dera until last.. ...and was disappointed with how it turned out. So disappointed I stopped at 3 forma, and got by with a rank 4 Vile Acceleration instead of Primed Shread. And you're right. Primed Shread, makes a difference, as does swapping Hammer Shot for the (new option since I had my go at this) Radiated Reload. It works well. (And using Deadhead on a rifle with 100% accuracy is clever, but wasn't something I thought to do on status weapons.)
For aiming headshots in a puncture weapon, you can go corrosive + cold instead of corrosive + heat: you lose the halving of armor when heat procs and the somewhat damage over time but you get the slow that helps aiming for the head and the critical damage bonus that is affected by headshots (and the innate puncture too). This way you don't have to worry about heat dot not synergizing with the arcane...you can even use the cold arcane instead.
I don't know if anyone else has had this experience, but I swear on my life, ever since I started playing this game back in what must've been 2017 or 2018 and I found out what an Invasion even was to start collecting parts for guns like this, I have never been playing the game actively when an invasion for specifically the Dera Vandal Stock went live, until literally a few weeks ago. I genuinely don't know what the deal is, whether it's actually rare or if it's just a bizarre string of the strangest luck, or if I just happened to forget to check the Invasions tab at all the wrong times, but yeah, I literally only have it in my foundry as of, like... April. Super weird. Anyway this is the most memorable thing about the weapon to me. It sure is a gun I suppose.
There's just something about the basic automatic guns that I love. They're not the best, they're not what I use often, but just something about them feels good. The very simple additional effects like the gotva, baza, and rattleguts on an otherwise basic automatic gun are also fantastic. As fun as incarnon guns and being OP are, I still end up taking simplicity for the comfort of it. Like the tenet glaxion over the torid incarnon.
Hm, better corpus Boltor is Stahlta imo, firing massive radiation rods impaling enemies to walls, with explosive secondary fire on top. You could take a look on that next maybe....
As a baby Tenno all those years ago, this was the first weapon I built that felt like a gun, not a nerf rifle. Really though, the Dera is just a gateway drug for the Supra.
I wish plated rounds/frostbite/etc would decay like merciless/deadhead does, with plated rounds it'd still encourage using it on weapons with high mag capacity while still giving us enough time to make use of it
Hammer shot for serration because puncture procs add a flat 25% crit chance, also full stripping will always be superior, alternatively one tau emerald may be beneficial in lower levels. And i wouldnt add radiation because it hurts status weighting, rather full strip quicker and add more heat dots at the same time. So this weapon could even do with more fire rate (vile acceleration for radiated reload). Doing all this will result in having 5 puncture and 14 corrosive stacks on each target in no time which i think fits the gun best.
all i remember from this weapon-that i am not even sure if that is still the case or never was-is it doesn't have recoil and negative accuracy does nothing to it.
ok....do me a flavor. that arcane...armor plated....do a MAXMAG set up for....like...the trumna, and the khom...would it work on the I think the boltor? or perhaps not, since that stuff usually doesn't apply to the incarnon forms, right?
Wish the Dera Vandal (or with some luck a Tenet Dera) could come with a battery magazine. Would fix what I believe to be the weapon's biggest problem, running out of ammo before you can kill stuff. Or y'know make it hitscan, also works. But...this will do :D
I actually used the Dera Vandal for a 'dumb fun' max fire rate build. It's not *good* but it does throw a LOT of status out... which it should, since I dump the mag in less than 2 seconds.
Cold corrosive and rad might've gone crazy wit frostbite but u would have to build with a damage increase frame like mirage to increase the base damage
Yeah, from what I understand Plated Rounds is really only good on Guns with Enormous Mags, Like the Gorgon, where you can have a couple hundred rounds in a mag.
I was trying this weapon like you did before last week. The results are very unsatisfying and the gun completely fails to kill anything when massive amount of eximus units appear in Duviri. This weapon simply cannot stand on its own without archon shards or other warframe buffs. Greatest obstacle for high status weapons are overshieled enemies i guess. Another problem is because the up front damage is not enough so its bad against mumur too. They have like 20 times the hp and you would spend way too much ammo one enemy.
Honestly puncture stat sticks are kinda niche by characteristics, they specialise in melting targets by stacking critical chance using puncture itself, 80% increased crit chance to target with 25% crit dmg boost. I was using pumcture and cold with crit damage focus and status and you can turn some of tgese weapons into highly unholy critical weapons. Cold being 50% crit buff at 9 stacks with a 90% slow effect basically turns eximus enimies into slower targets, i was pairing it with primary frostbite and hunder munitions as well on any of the critical stat sticks. Argueably you will still need a primer source, such as a pet, i opted to use cryotra as my cold dealer on pet and use my weapons as a multi puncture and corosive hybrid. I'd bet this would make a good heavy target deleter weapon, but be slow at wave clear
Good base damage (the much loved Soma Prime only has 1/3 of the Dera's, not counting Incarnon stat buffs, for comparison) and status chance goes a long way, especially in this day and age where we have multiple ways of forcing crits. I've never build this gun, despite me loving the Supra, need to change that. *gives a thumbs up and leaves*
I wish plated rounds was better with how realtively easy it is to obtain but currently it seems like its only use is on extremely niche builds for weapons with a giant mag size and a stupid amount of fire rate. I feel like it would be better if there was no duration on the buff, but worked exactly like that fire rate evolution on the felarx.
Hard to care about the Dera when the Velox exists. I mean the riven dispo is amazing but you have to dedicate too many slots to sustain fire rate and reload for Supra style dakka.
Plated rounds is only good on things like soma, gorgon and supra Things with big magazines AND fast fire rates. Things like the Trumna don't fire fast enough to take advantage of the short duration even with a max arcane. It's fun when it works but it's honestly not worth the farm.
Also yeah Primary Plated Round is just kind of generally one of the absolute worst arcanes in the game and I don't know why they made it. In order for it to give you a good damage boost, you need to have a large magazine to reload from empty. In order to reload a large magazine from empty, you just spend a lot of time versus your fire rate. The buff only lasts a little bit. All of this when Merciless gives you a bigger buff on 95% of all guns in the game and also gives reload speed as an added bonus, with 100% uptime. It's not that it's different, it's just mathematically poor.
Ah, this one. This was my first "Can I make this work?" project years ago.
Good to see modern tools make it actually usable.

Quellor makes funny numbers with the alt fire as well using plated round. Trumna requires some extra steps but that one is hilarious as well
