A lot of people are saying the officer did a good job, but I think it’s better if we say the officers did a good job. This seems like a very good team they have going. One person is the runner, one person is giving callouts. This way no one is wasting their breath doing both at the same time. Sadly the perpetrators got away, but this was amazing work and team effort done by both officers.
Sorry, but the first officer needs to do cardio workout and why did they not use a taser. The punk would have face planted before got to the car, if they tasered his a##.
@@samdefore2692For starters, I’m aware the first officer isn’t the fastest. That’s kinda my point here. One officer focuses on callouts, the other focuses on the foot pursuit. Running and trying to give direction is hard. That’s why I say the officers (plural) did a good job working as a team.
Secondly, using a taser would most likely breach protocol. Seeing as he had no visible weapons and posed no serious threat to anyone, deploying a taser would be excessive force. Along with that, tasers work sometimes… not always. So if he were to deploy his taser and it fail, he’d be set back even more than he was. Tasers are not used as a reliable tool, it’s more of a “if the chance arises, go for it, but don’t rely on it”
So I make my statement again; even though the first officer wasn’t the fastest… the officers worked really well as a team.
@@congruentcribAgree about the officers making a good team, not everyone is a runner (but man, is the second cop) Most likely a tazer deployment would've been considered justified here as they are fleeing police. If he had a weapon out, that would escalate to guns drawn, not tazers. If the road was a bit longer, then the second officer absolutely would've caught up to him
The second cop was a legend he ran for at least 10 yards with 30-40 pounds on him that is just crazy mad respect to that cop.

Hats off to everyone involved. Officer #2 was a hawk and had no fear. The getaway driver actually came through in the clutch, even though the police were right there. The suspect holding on and tilting his head to lose the cop's grip was wild. Glad no one got hurt.

I think that cop#1 didn't relay the correct information on his radio: guy hoping into get away car, color and model, street and direction of driving.
