Aces Killshot EFI First Start.. 69 Dodge Dart, 318 w/ Mild Comp Cam

  • 1969 Dodge Dart with very mild 318 and 904 transmission. 318 is running a mild Comp Cam (CL20-210-2) and TTI Headers. Factory AC car with Original Air upgrade.
    First Start with the newly installed Aces Killshot EFI system. Running Fitech Mini Force (50006) for fuel delivery.
    I was shocked that it fired off so quickly. Test drive coming soon.. Alternator crapped out while sitting there and had to put charger on it. It's obvious that the system is learning and should get better with time.

    Does anyone know why i need do give my royal flush a little bit of throttle to start up, and why it bogs down when i get on full throttle ? Also its shooting when i let go of the gas

    Did you regulate your fuel pressure before the throttle body then plug the outlet on the throttle body similar to how a carb would be set up? Ive been looking for info, but not much out there

      Yes, I regulated it.. If you download instructions for the kit you're interested in, all if the info will be there. Also, loom at the Aces FB group.. Bunch of helpful people there as well

    Dude. You're the first person I've seen running the Aces Killshot with a FiTech Force Fuel Mini. This is exactly what I am about to get started on. Can you clarify something for me? The Aces manual says you should run a fuel return line from the TB back to the tank with a regulator in between, but the Mini says to run a return line from the Mini to the tank with no other regulation in line... basically the TB gets the supply pressure and that's it. Only 1 of its 4 port used. What did you do? OH!!! one more. Your Mini shows like 46 psi but I heard they come stock at like 50 something. Did you replace the regulator in the Mini with a 3 BAR or are you running the regulator it came with and the Killshot is happy with it? Please... I'm dying to know!

      The Killshot can be ran with return or returnless. For 3 bar pressure, use BOSCH 0280160557 in the Fitech unit.. Install it before putting the pressure gauge in.. It's easier. You'll be happy with this setup. Aces support is amazing.

    Have you adjusted the IAC when warm? It sounds like it’s really open. That’s the hissing sound from the TB. Clean looking ride you have there.

      That was the first start. Once it goes into closed loop, the iac is down there... 5-6. I haven't touched it. I'm gonna try changing my start timing a bit and see if that has any effect as well.

      @@danarcher6356 Gotcha. Our first start the IAC was wild. We did have to adjust it to get it to come down though.

      @@DrivingForwardBuildshow do you adjust the iac….i played with the idle linkage screws but the best i can get is 32/35 when warm…..on my holley terminator x systems i can get them down to 3/9……..just by adjusting the idle screw in the LS throttle body

      @@trentdawg2832 after you get the linkage set you adjust the screw on the throttle body side. But make sure to wait till it’s warmed up and in closed loop. You should be able to get it down to 5-20ish.

    Another question for ya Dan... What did you hook up the Mini to for positive? The instructions say to the FiTech EFI wire harness but since you have a Killshot, what did you use?

      Killshot has a Fuel Pump lead.. Run it to + terminal. The mini also has a - terminal.. Run a wire to ground

      Thank you sir. I was installing the fuel system first so it's ready go. I didn't figure the Killshot would have something for the Mini. Thanks again
