Yes those are indeed quite nice only the Tone control sucked t.b.h.... not much there in terms of versatility, this wasn't recorded trough the pickup tho... just a macbook pro internal mic and some slight compression effect to balance the sound out a little.

Congrats on the new purchase, yeah they're pretty good value when looking for a Blues oriented guitar, i personally didn't like the neck profile all that much so i sold it but for this type of playing and sound it simply can't be beat at the price they go for. Still looking for an older one that predates the "pro" series because they have a C shaped neck profile instead of the slim taper D this one had which suits my hands and playing style with the thumb over top better. Blues Student Thank you, it's not that hard but it will take some time to get the mechanics into you muscle memory, although i highly doubt it will take you very long to learn this since you already have some descent thumb action going for you looking at you vid's. Yeah i felt the same about the seagull, much more bass and mid's which is perfect for anchoring the pitch of your voice too, these El's are very cool though.... lot's of bark and sparkle that makes them cut trough a rhythm section with ease.
+Richard Lunn Your welcome, make no mistake the neck is not small, i don't know why they call it a slim taper but it's not a small neck! Fairly wide actually but not that deep because of the D shape so if you have small hands you could possibly be very uncomfortable playing certain chord shapes that require a thumb wrapped over the top. I highly urge you to test one out before you buy one because i regretted buying mine and i wouldn't want that for anyone else so try before you buy ;)

+Richard Lunn You are welcome, nope just a standard El-00 pro with 012's , no mod's at all, didn't even need a Trussrodd adjustment. I'd advise you go to a Music store and try one out though (or another epiphone with the slim taper D profile) because i didn't like the feel of the neck when i still had this guitar. Soundwise, they are cool for Blues but not much else.

No, i hated it and sold it right after i made this video so i don't have it anymore. It sounded ok for Blues but the neck was the crappiest one i've ever played so if you want one of these i suggest getting one that predates the pro series as these have C shaped necks that are much more comfortable than the D shape of these later models.

+12Radius Yeah i think i messed up something with the settings or something, i believe Blues student had the same problem, will have to try and fix that somehow tonight. That's what i thought, i once played one of the very first El-00 (the non Pro series) that hit europe back in the day and that also had a thick rounder neck like my Les Paul but this one had a slim taper D profile al the Epi's seem to come with these day's... i used to snag my thumb on it and it was uncomfortable to wrap it over the top. I prefer rounder necks so maybe i'll try and get one of the older ones when i have a little money to spend. Thank you very much 12 Radius ;)
