What I love about Peterbilt is that even though they make these giant aerodynamic jellybean shaped things, they still build great classic style trucks like the 389. No other company still makes classic trucks like that.
The trailer DRAG is a main issue in mpg. How about reshaping the trailers nose to an oval to improve airflow between the tractor and trailer? What about the bottom of the trailer? Make it at an angle (think of a BIG triangle under the trailer) thinnest point towards the nose under the trailer and thickest part towards the trailer tandems to have the air flow take a bit of weight off the trailer at highway speeds. Just some ideas i had.
That idea will not work in a number of configurations. There are guys that have the long frame with a lot of space between the truck and trailer, flatbed trailers, lowboy trailers and loads that are very heavy. The loads are permitted for a gross weight of 125k to 150k. This is the exception, but other configurations that will never be aero dynamically sound.
that's exactly what I have been saying since I've started driving a truck. adding things to a trailer only adds weight. trailers need to be more aerodynamic and functional. not just the
Nirlamb Ghumman easy 21000 my ??how the hell do this billionaire companies are getting this grants from the department of energy and how do they figure out the cost to built this trucks specially this one looks the same as the others and its quite ironic that they get granted millions to built this trucks that they cant put out on the market at all to its a waste of money theres far more important things to go and grant that money rather yhan this i honestly think this people dont understand or know anything about trucking
this truck is only functional with light loads (10k). that is sad since it weighs more than what it is carrying. taking comfort out of the truck such as the apu make the truck less functional. this vehicle is an oversize paper weight.
Still too conventional of a shape with all kinds of drag-inducing protrusions. Start over with a clean sheet 100% smooth bullet shape and fit the powertrain into that.

Random Stuff In Oregon what about Mack pinnacle Freightliner Coronado and Kenworth W900?
God bless you,Amin.
2:00, I'll take the Peterbilt on the right!
yes
or maybe the one at 5:02

is a matter of thermodynamics mostly to go faster you need more power or a faster engine or a "torquier" one remember that power is TorqueXRPM
What is the weight of the truck itself fully refueled

You want to see A super Truck . Look at the BEST VOLVO
Obviously there not concerned about safety. Or the dot rules which state can only have as many people as there are seat belts.
the best way of get fuel economy is going slower 45-50 mph is the best speed for fuel saving a scania r490 loaded Up to 100.000lb can get 10 mpg
but then you need more trucks

old truckers don't die. They just get a new Peterbilt. lol. old saying.

It was money wasted!
