It's sad, because I saw a lot of people harrassing the person who made this in the comments of the GameBanana page because they "used AI" despite no evidence nor implication that there ever was. Plus, GameBanana now has a system similar to RUclips, where you have to specify if you made something or not using AI generation. For all I know, this IS Dan Green. Honestly, even if AI was involved, it only shows how well it's gone in terms of evolving. Whoever made this, good job on the mod and don't listen to those people because we here in the RUclips comments love it!

I love Dan Green's voice, and the mod sounds good. But that being said, I'm not a fan of AI being used. But credit to where credit is due, you made good use of the original voice clips where applicable.
In all honestly SEGA should have gotten Dan Green on the phone, and Sean Schemmel and even Ryan Drummond. There was NO reason for them to not bring back the original VAs for characters that haven't spoken in nearly 2 decades and probably won't ever speak again in future games.
@@amazingfantasy1962 Well I haven't heard anything barring Drummond from reprising a a role that's not technically Sonic, and there are plenty of situations where a retired VA will come back for a one time cameo of a character they voiced. That's my whole point though, it's not like any of them are being reintroduced as permanent additions to the cast to the point of needing new VAs so it would have been better to just get the originals in to record their like six lines of dialogue.
I think the English dialogue fit a lot more naturally that trying to translate the Japanese dialogue to English so strictly. Also, the voice is great, but lacks oomph because it's not actually performed to this scene. As much as I love Dan Green's Mephiles, you could also just deepen Robbie Daymond's voice clips and he sounds EXTREMELY similar to Dan Green. Just do that and mod it in. I would like to do that but idk how to mod. (Anyone willing to teach me? C: lol)
FACTS i felt like i was the only one daying this. You got sonic bosses or old game bosses being challenging and the struggle felt real. But shadow generations hes for 0 reason steam rolling MEPHILES? if anything hes the strongest boss then doom and the metal boss. Yet he gets curb stomped like fodder he never had a 2nd form and not only that in 06 he cant be sealed. Dog walked shadow and his team with his inhibitors off and in super sonic. Eben though shadow was burning through his clones with ease. He overwhel.s shadow with unending stam while shadow had a burn out point. And shadow was cooked twice which makes me wonder how mephiles was sealed in the first place by shadow which was never explained. Also what makes this boss battle stings is the fact the dude voicing him is bread WINNERS and didnt even bother to make his voice deep or nearly deep to play him and the mannerism dont even match. If your gonna voice someone you gotta mstch there energy or its gonna feel garbo for anyone playing against him as a boss. He dont feel intimidating like 06. So its very depressing being a mephiles fan when they disrespected him so badly in this game

The thing about ai vs human is humans put soul into the character. A ai can mimic a voice but can easily tell there isnt much emotion. Given the voice if you play 06 it would of been better then whats voicing him now. Which is why theres alot of modding to replace the dude voicing him in gens cause its just awful if your a fan of this villain

There are definitely as many vocal people who dislike the voice as much as there are people who like it. A mixed bag for sure.

The thing about ai vs human is humans put soul into the character. A ai can mimic a voice but can easily tell there isnt much emotion. Given the voice if you play 06 it would of been better then whats voicing him now. Which is why theres alot of modding to replace the dude voicing him in gens cause its just awful if your a fan of this villain

Lol mephiles aint suppose to be emotional and doesnt match mepholes not all villains are suppose to be some understanding emotional woke crybaby.
Mephiles was a unreedemable dark villain that kinda felt like a wesker in a master mind since and completely evil and will do anything to complete his goal hes not suppose to feel sympathy hes suppose to be intimidating. So seeing his character just sound like a baby was just butchering him on top of him being steam rolled

It would of made sense if mephiles showed all this emotion in 06 but his lore is being emotionless or theatrical this doesnt match it. So if your gonna have a opinion atleast let it be tastefull and not always have to 100 percent glaze it.
Lol its ok to express a opinion but dont feel any type of way because its with the masses that generaly likes anything a game spews. Basicly if people are gonna like it should be the source material.

Whether people like it or not this is how A.I should be used. Dan Green has retired, I love the dude but he isn't coming back to voice Mephiles. The new Voice Actor was also dog shit, didn't fit the character at all and turned what was once the most threatening antagonist in the series; into an infinite clone with how pathetic he sounded in ShadGens.
The mod isn't for profit it's for fun plain and simple.

Keep glazing someone that voice bread winners if you had good taste youd know if you remotely liked this villain that he not only sounds nothing like him but doesnt even got the same energy as mephiles. He did not give consent to his likeness being imitated. If you’re reusing an existing performance via old voice clips that’s one thing. But AI used in this way is unethical no matter how you feel about his replacement. And THATS final.
Also what is your obsession with Robbie being in bread winners of all things? You know he’s done a lot more iconic and well known work than that, right??
