Thank you so much for the very informative video. I had the 2nd Pfizer vaccine on April 6th and 12 hours later went into a Thyroid Storm. I've never been diagnosed with any autoimmune disease or a thyroid problem until now. Now I have been diagnosed with Graves Disease and Thyroid Eye Disease. I have permanently disfigured eyes and I'm on Thyroid meds and heart meds. This disease has disfigured my eyes and my face. I now have double vision and I'm 18 months into this horrible rollercoaster.

We are so happy to hear the video was helpful! Graves' & TED are the worst, but it can definitely be managed. Sounds like Tepezza could help to quiet the TED portion. Hopefully an Endocrinologist is assisting with your hormone levels. Feel free to call the office if you have any questions or need any more assistance-we are here to help!

Please do more videos on hyperthyroidism, graves, and type1diabetic. Very few people on RUclips do it! You explained it very nicely, accurate, and in depth. Thank you for doing that. Please give us more info about these diseases, causes and treatments! They are so many of us here looking for an answer! Unfortunately most of the endocrinologist have zero knowledge and they only rely on general old beliefs and treatment options. Thanks

The research and all that I have heard & read about Tepeza is that it significantly damages your hearing..a super high percentage of patients have hearing loss after being on it.
I had 2 orbital decompressions 7 years ago which helped significantly.

I read the whole law suit against that company for not disclosing it and my own conclusion is that there is no way one's hearing will not be affected because of how that tepezza works and how ones hearing/ears work.

    This is very usefully presented.
As to my own interest: I don't know that I have any issues with my Thyroid but now I do know what to expect if my eye(s) continue to be an issue. I randomly wake up with a bulging look to my eyes but it goes away over the day. I have several allergies which have progressively worsened with age and have recently been treated for conjunctivitis. The eye drops (combination of steroid and antibiotic) have been very beneficial and I likely will be using an eye antihistamine drop going forward as I am coping with allergens in my home environment as well as seasonal sources. I also had more obvious eye issues with my recent exam (pronounced double vision during exam --- but I do have astigmatism so it may be causing this). My prescription changed quite a bit from last year so I needed new glasses (improved but not perfect) and I don't have pronounced pain in the area described. I had parathyroid issues so have an endocrinologist I follow up with annually to monitor both thyroid and parathyroid for abnormal test results. So right now I'm thinking I'm one of those with other eye conditions but I will watch for TED. Thank you for making this video to explain the conditions for the non-medical folks!

I was diagnosed with graves and TED in november 2020 and was placed on a cocktail of meds which the meds reduced over the years. However I would like to know aside from surgery and radioactive iodine are there no supplements or natural remedies that can help heal the thyroid? Thank you

Hi doctor,i am located in India n have TED...i have preorbital swelling , double vision when i look towards ceiling, an opthalmologist has suggested severe pulse dose of solumedrol about 500mg per day for 3 days...but i havent yet done that fearing the extreme side effects ,,,also my Tsh levels have dropped to 0.0156...when the symptoms of preorbital swelling started the TSH levels were normal but starting dwindling almost a year after the eye swelling appeared.
Noone has given me tepezza yet,, is it an OTC drug or does it need to be prescribed ?

Curious about this and hoping someone can help me out here ( not looking for a diagnosis )
Recently I had to get new glasses - my eyes are bulging out , weakness in optic nerve , pain / pressure . Fitted with ultra- violet lenses , something added to the lenses to stop the strain on my eyes - also have a second pair that has deep orange lenses - as I have really bad sensitivity to light ( not all the time )
I am awaiting further testing for Ehlers Danlos - does anyone know if there is a link between graves and EDS ?
Currently on Gabapentin to help treat the nerve and bone pain -
Also , any home remedies to reduce the pain naturally ( like can I use a heating pad ? )
Thanks to anyone who can offer some suggestion .
