Take for instance the phrase he plays from 2:02-2:04 in his video titled "Eric Clapton - Groaning the Blues (Official Live Video - Nothing but the Blues)". I remember when I was first picking up a guitar that there was this guitar player that left the biggest band in England because they weren't "bluesy" enough. I had to check him out. Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & the Dominoes, MTV Unplugged and on and on.

as Eric appreciated Larry at harp no questions left for me, what a bunch of blues celebrating guys, love the sax and the rhythm group as well, they all do their job together as amazing as Muddy Waters couldn't do this better decades ago! Love Blues, Mr. Slowhand and the other guys and Mr. McKinley Morganfield and the other hundreds or thousands too, from Mississippi delta right to Windy City... Not to forget the Albino, Johnny Winters, one of the greatest at all!

Eric passed through Michigan on the Nothing But the Blues Tour, and I had to choose between his show and BB King's lineup with Jimmie Vaughan and Elvin Bishop. I thoroughly enjoyed BB and company, but part of me still wishes I could have a do over. Eric Clapton and the Blues are like catnip to me, and he really was on fire in the '90's. I've been to three of his concerts between 1998 and 2006. Never left disappointed.

I would have only been 4 in '94! So seeing him in the 90s was really out of the question, but if I had been 10 or 15 years older that would've been one of the coolest concerts to see, all that intense guitar playing by Clapton

Crossroads 2 Live in the 70's.....????...all his tours thru 83 were awesome....

Clapton isn't "playing out his anger" as he did in the 60's...He's replaced it with more beauty...IMHO.
