🙌 Shelly’s journey from opera to consulting really highlights the courage it takes to walk away from one dream to pursue another. The insights on accepting sunk costs and embracing self-acceptance really hit home. 🌟 I loved the reminder that it’s never too late to switch paths and become your best self. Thank you, Queen Martins, for bringing us this inspiring discussion! #LivingBoldly #CareerChange"
What an insightful conversation! Thank you, Queen. As a [fellow] creative, Shelly Marie’s words resonate deeply. Wherever life takes her, I wish only the very best.
Queen, it’s an era of vlogging and the internet is awash with so many thoughts. Glad to say I consumed this and the content is incredibly inspiring! Way to go! Insightful!
This is brilliant! It gives credence to the position that what people say to or about you is their business, and how you react to it is yours. Kudos to Shelly for taking the bold step, regardless of the dissenting noise and distractions, to go for what she wanted, switching careers and become successful at them. Plus, handling the situation like a court jester shows control, which is quite commendable, rather than allowing it to weigh her down visibly. Excellent work, Queen.
Interestung insights. Change at any point can be hard. What's perhaps less mentioned is the role of childhood trauma in how we approach the need for change. Love the set and lighting❤
I like the topic and it will will help. People need to understand some issues in life and make adjustment. Thank you Queen putting together all of this. Making positive changes in people.
This conversation is one that should be heard by a lot of people. Body shaming is as real as night and day and it lowers self esteem. This certainly needs to stop. Great job Queen!
Great job Queen. This conversation needs to go far and wide to create awareness that body size is not what matters but the positive content on the inside. I hope this will also cut down on stigmatising❤
At my first major commercial Ad casting , an established agent walked in, asked me why I was there and told me there wasn't a place for me in either the acting or commercial modelling industry. I ignored him and pushed on. Seven years later he called, wanting to act as my agent for a huge ad. Stay focused, be sure you have the talent and you're doing what you're passionate about, constantly improve your skills and let God lead.
Good episode on the topic of body shaming. I did not see before and after snapshots, but your guest seems too prim and proper to be a prime example. However the conversation could help those women with body dysmorphic disorder.
Interesting discussion here. Body shaming can actually destroy one's self worth. But like the proverbial donkey in the pit that chose to use the rocks and dirt thrown at him to get out of it, Marie chose to use those discouraging comments to attain success.

👌You can't stop people talking one thing or the other about you,
But not letting it weighs you down is the best thing

Nice topic, overcoming people opinions
She kind of embraces who she became at every point which made is easier for her to navigate through the entire process
Change is difficult but possible
