This song gives me the chills. Even for the non believers it's a beautiful message, that demonstrate that you are never alone, your loved ones will always be by your side and no matter what happens, we should never give up.

Ive wept to this song many time because it makes all the grief I feel, the anger and the confusion in me because my mother never could love me like this, she never even tried to carry me, but she push god on me my whole life, she had more love for god than me and I knew it. Idk this song hurts because of her and the religious trauma that I have. I wish that she had loved me unconditionally. I wish I wasnt too much for her.
This video was done really well, regardless of the car scene. The song and the video fit really well. I will be honest, I had the chills by the end of it.
So many years passed and still the songs of those guys bring me to tears, i started to cry again and i cannot explain why, i'm not even religious or at least i believe i am not...
The man is Jesus, gave her the kiss of life, they lived Happily Ever After.

This music video/song in many ways is so beautiful yet undoubtedly sad. Loosing someone you love is never easy but to find strength through death. Well that takes someone that understands love, understands grace.....

Such a nice, pretty song.
A band that preaches a message that comes from their heart or one that people can connect with Christian or not is above any other band. These are the reasons why I listen to "that stuff where they scream and sound like they're in pain" -(people that hear my music) because pain is something felt by everyone sometimes and it's much more substantial to my life then "that club and sex shit that people rap about over a computer laid beat" -me
i love how every body at the funeral is either "WHAAA??????" or "thats creepy.... o.o" and the song was awesome!
@redfindmon you have a good point...also while I was watching it seemed like the message was that even if they are gone, the great memories you made with them will stay with you forever and that we should remember those and not grieve forever :)

I think its just symbolism to show that even in death, their love for each other was still very much alive. Has nothing to do with Jesus or Sleeping Beauty.

But we need Hope? I'm not even referring to God when I said that comment. People are broken. There's no doubt about that. And Close Your Eyes sings songs of happiness, sadness, sorrow etc: And help people through tough situations. I know they certainly helped me. But Hope is definitely some we really need as individuals and as a world.
I am a christian and only listen to christian songs OR songs from artists that don't cuss. I am not saying i am to high and mighty to listen to that stuff. Its just stuff that does curse or talk about bad things in their lyrics, i would rather not be involved with because no matter how many people say its just music, ill still say the lyrics are the heart of every song to know the true nature of the intentions of that song...except instrumentals and dub-step lol. Their heart is the beat

Well, this is the cool thing about music, people can interpret the song (lyrics) to which pleases their mentality, situation or beliefs. Although the band is a Christian band, they can have songs about other things and not just about Jesus, or all their music may just be based on their faith in Jesus and metaphorically using, in this case relationships. Whatever the meaning, the song, video and band is great.

He isn't coming back. They have a new vocalist now my friend! Shane could no longer do the vocals and his heart just wasn't in touring anymore yes it sucks and yea he was a great vocalist but it will be ok they're a great band and they will continue through it!

I don't think they could find a replacement. Like you can hear the passion in Shane's voice when he sings. Like it's just amazing. It sends chills down my spine. I'll be hella surprise if they can find someone who can come close to fitting in the Close Your Eyes style as Shane.
