Just did a trade for this lens cant wait to get it on my R6. For as much praise i see from people that use this lens there aren't many legit reviews for it. Thanks for your vid dude.
Hi, what you think about the Sigma 24-35mm f2 (Full Frame Lens) on Sony Apsc 6400 .. is it possibe ? It would make it to a 36-56mm FF equivalent with f2 Stop (for good bokeh) ! I Wanne replace my 56mm f1.4 Prime and this would Cover the Sigma 35 & 56mm apsc primelenses and still have good bookeh. would it be better to buy the Sony mount Version or is there a benefit to buy the Canon FF Lens Version and use it With a speedbooster to get the extra F Stop (so F1) ?! Yeah its 940gramm but i dont need to Switch it all the time on a Gimbal and have 2 Prime lenses in one With good bookeh (good for weedings and Shootings where you have to be quick). Just need to know Is Autofocus working With Sony 6400 With both Versions (E mount & Canon mount With speedbooster) ? If yes this is a must have Lens for Sony apsc cameras for me
Thank you for the review. I know you didn't ask but I though you should know, that your content is great, your lighting is fantastic, the audio is top notch, however the only thing missing is you need a teleprompter. You are too distracted and that makes the viewer disconnect from you. One other thing the sound effects take away from your professional presentation.
Totally agree with the sound effects and your intro is a little too long, too. I like your relaxing background music and you have an excellent voice for this!
Currently, my only wide angle lens is the 24-70mm 2.8L II. I thought to buy a fast 35mm 1.4 lens, but was wondering if to get the the Sigma 24-35mm 1.4 Art. Will I see much difference between the 24-35 2.0 and 24-70 2.8 in image quality? Or between a 35mm 1.4 (or 1.2 for Sony) and the 24-35mm 2.0?
It's definitely not the quietest lens for video if you're using an on-camera shotgun mic. I did notice that after I upgraded the firmware on the lens using the Sigma dock, that the AF is a lot quieter and more consistent with video.
I used to own the Sigma 35 1.4 ART (if that's the lens you're referring to). I think it's just as sharp and focuses just as fast. The benefits of the 35 ART is size and speed. It's a bit faster in terms of light at 1.4, and a good bit lighter and smaller.
it it a good replacement for 24-70 2.8 I from Canon? I use the R5 for portraits and need something better than 24-70 in the lower focal length area
By far the best zoom lens for video in the market right now. I own one and it is spectacular

For all those strange people who came here to watch a video and not b-roll….it starts at 1:25.
Gonna be my next lens for my EOS R, looks like a landscape photographers/astro-photographers dream
You will love it for that purpose!
How’s the AF with the R on this lens?
This is the first I've heard of this lens and I've been looking for a year for a lens like this 🙏🏿
This is the probably a better👌 video lens than any prime or your standard 24 70mm f2.8
enjoy your style so much. I'm sayiing this because someone criticized your style. you're refreshing after all the techie nerd geek boys.
Thanks, I might be on a lookout for this lens for my EOS R
Hey dude.. that was a nice video.. especially the way you articulate.. keep going!!
Thanks!
Nice review Johnny! I'll probably get one for my Lumix S1, thank you for sharing this video.

ok! Thanks for asking about that. I'll plan on making that video soon!
1:25 terribly painful music ends here and good things start.
How did you get your vlog to look like this matte look?
It's a custom LUT in Adobe Premiere.

Nice points !
i know my comment is a bit late but how is the autofocus in video on the EOS R with this lens, if vlogging? and is it audible? great video!

How is it on Sony A7iii?
How it compares to the 35 mm 1.4? Autofocus and sharpness

@@JohnnyMcPro thanks!!
What lens are you using to shoot your videos?
I go between the RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro or the RF 24-105 f/4. I think in this video, I shot with the 35.
"Pixel hungry zombie" 🤣
top 5 reasons not to watch this video 1. Sharp 2. Bokeh. 3 build quality. 4 blah blah blah.
