With read that he is splashy and battle hard . Tough to fold getting good odds. Observing and trying to understand opponent startegy is key to define if he is able to overvalue worse or have some courageus bluff or maybe he might be tilted from some previous hands. Not much chips to get more info and if we have a shot to sometimes be good we cannot fold i guess. But yeah mostof the time such line screams monster.
It should be very difficult to fold after finally hitting that river. But the opponent probably has very limited number of bluffing combos to 3bet straddled pot - call 0.8x turn - check raise river. Like what could you bluff with if you are the opponent, especially given the short stack left behind? I can't find one...
Well it's a fold are straight looks good but there is the back door flush and the villain has been known too play any two cards.so. It's a fold for me. With river shive.
Back door straight on a paired board with flush available is a check back on the river after villain snap calls the turn bet. Also 1500 into 1800 is not half pot by any stretch of the imagination.
I just don't know. The opponent should know, even though he's supposed to be splashy and stuck heaps, that he shouldn't be bluffing with only a minclick left, that Brad's priced in with his strong hands....Idk man. Seems like villain just never has worse than a straight with this line. Not saying I could fold, Im nowhere near Brad Owen's league, but seems like a fold to me.
Do YOU prefer to follow your instinct when making a big decision on the river or do you prefer to follow the math? 🤔
I trust my instincts when the math is not at least 70% in my favor.
5:47 brad did bet 85% of the pot, not half, opponent has 2x pot behind
1500 out of 1800 in fact is not half

This is a give up hand. Why keep continuing?
I would've checked the river and take that hand to showdown if I was against a tight player
Classic Negreanu, calls out his opponent´s hand and calls anyway.
I've been saying this man everyone glazing Negreanu when he rarely finds the fold after his "soul reads"
@@hennmanhe pays it off for information
Could he ever be overplaying a bare 7?
