I went to a local wigshop. I was treated so incredibly bad I haven't been able to go back into another one. I have scalp plaque psoriasis with acne necrosis accompanied by scarring alopecia- needless to say I've spent to much money on wigs I can't keep on my head. Thank you for all your time you've taken ti make these videos
“Pregnancy brain” is a real thing. Don’t feel intimidated by it. You are beautiful! I am new to wearing hair pieces, so I very much appreciated your tutorial today.
There is a Got 2 B Glued in the yellow tube. That one is more water resistant and I use it on hotter or windy days. The hair can get a tiny bit loose when sweating, but when the sweat evaporates, the bond is back. Also don't over use the yellow one as it dries white, but only a thin layer is all that's required. The Got 2 B also has a hairspray that many people use although I haven't tried it myself.
Thank you for the tips. I just found out I have breast cancer and if all the stuff I’ll be going through loosing my long thick hair with chemo bothers me most. Your video helped me a lot to prepare for the hair loss
Hi Tammy, I’m so sorry to hear this, and wanted to thank you for sharing. I wish you so much strength in fighting this. I want you to know that you are not alone, and that if your hair does thin, there will be options available to you. Cross that when it comes, and until then, just give yourself some grace and love 💖 sending you so much love and strength. Xo
@@WigsWithSteph Thank you so much. I was ready to call my hairdresser and cut it all off but I’m going to wait to see what happens. And I will check out the options that are offered when the time comes.
@@tammypalmer9185 Take a look at Michele’s Hair Closet, I love every HH wig that I have purchased from there. Great quality hair, lasts 2 years with keratin conditioner. She’s wonderful to work with. Thinning shears are great, if you prefer less density.
sew an elastic band in ur wig (youtube video) and use the got to be spray just a little will stay on for 2 days ..remove with water and no damage to ur hair or the wig use wig grip or bobby pins..no excuse for wigs coming off!!
I don't have the silicone hair grip. But have many of the others. The wig grips with caps work great my hair is long, past my shoulders. The Wig grip with a cap holds my long hair down.
Hi! Oh no, I'm sorry to hear it's hurting your head. That can definitely happen. They used to give me migraines. It should be worn tight enough that it still feels secure under your wig, like if you were to put pressure on it (try without your wig on first) and push back on it while it's on your head, does it slip off easily? or does it catch on your hair? It should catch a little. You don't have to wear it so tight that it won't budge at all (that will probably hurt your head), but just have it on where it slightly catches when you put pressure on it. Hopefully that solves it for you! XO 💜
I just received my simmer yesterday in shaded buscuit. The roots look so dark in contrast to the rest. I really wish they would lighten up the root a tad. Yours looks lighter than mine in the root area could be the camera. My natural hair isn't that dark so i feel like maybe i should try the regular biscuit without the dark root. Have you seen the regular biscuit? I want to order all the blonde shades in this style to see them in person! Lol wish i could... any advice on choosing shades? I suppose i could and return them all seems like too much though... thanks!!
Yes, is my only complaint about the shaded biscuit color is that the rooting is quite dark. You could try the regular biscuit that doesn’t have a root! :) What color is your natural hair? Biscuit is quite light (but very beautiful) Shaded sand is another favourite of mine, and it has a lighter root, but it doesn’t come in the Simmer style unfortunately
@@WigsWithSteph my natural hair is a light mousy brown with some grey in it and blonde highlights. I don't have a dark natural root really...I think all over blonde would look more natural on me than the dark rooting actually and my eyebrows are light also... too bad I took the tag off simmer in shaded biscuit... I guess I'll still wear it
My question is how to keep wig down in the back, mine tends to slide up and it really bothers me. I use a velcro wig grip, the silicone does the same sliding up. Please help
Well I just got my mesmerized wig color shaded sand ( because of you ) But I feel it’s loose on top, like it’s too small on me the cap won’t fully go in my head. I hope that makes since 😢
Hiii! Sorry to hear mesmerized isn’t fitting your head! Are you saying it’s too small? Mesmerized is a hand-tied cap which can make it fit more snug than others that are just the wefted caps. If it’s not fitting right, I would recommend sending it back and picking another wig that’s wefted :) I’m sure it will fit you then! 💜

Are wigs what caused thus or what exactly happened?

I wish you were actually putting the glue on this video ( I’m a visual learner)
Thanks! I used glue, bit I hate the clean up afterwards...the wig grip is good...I feel really secure when I wear the grip with a cap too!
I hate the cleanup too! 😜
There’s even wig grips with a lace section so that the wig grip doesn’t show through the wigs lace.

Hi Steph, how tight on your head should the wig grip be? I find that I tighten mine so much it ends up hurting after a few hours of wearing.

Does anyone use wig caps? What do you think about them?

Try bobby pins
Use a wig grip then take the comb that wigs have in the back & tuck it under the wig grip. Perfect.
I love your wig!!!
