They are in regular rotation in my Friday night drinking by the firepit playlist. I think they are underrated. Every song on that Fever In Fever Out CD is solid. The crazy thing is, that 27 or 28 years flew by in the wink of an eye. Let that be a lesson to you whipper snappers. hehe

It's interesting reading other folk's comments on here. Starting back in the 90s, I would crank up the volume whenever this song came on the radio. I remember thinking back then - as I still do now - what really makes this tune rock is the drums.
I miss this band. I am shocked they were not more popular? I thought they had the catchiest songs. I also have a mad crush on the keyboard player. There's just something about her...so hot
@@TubeRJF Yes it is. I still listen to LJ all these years later. Follow alot of groups I grew up listening to. Sad when hearing of people passing away.
Can’t believe I never heard this song before now. Shazam’d it while standing in Value Village today. It totally kicks! In ‘97 I was changing diapers on a couple of ankle-biters. Missed a bunch a great music. Thank the good lord for Shazam and YT…
I’ve always respected bass players who can sing. You have to hold down the groove and belt out the tune at the same time. Not easy . Plus, she was hot too. 😍
I got to tell you listening to this album this was on, Fever In Fever Out, and Daughters of the Chaos. This band was solid. They were so much better than they ever got credit for. If they were ever touring near me I would see them in a heartbeat.
This is an absolutely fantastic performance! How did I not see this on TV! Well, better late than never! I've watched it about eight times in the past half hour!
Saw them with Live and the put on one hell of a show. Enjoyed their entire set even though this was the only song I'd heard from them. Was very pleasantly surprised.
Drummer of Deftones has his tuned this way...... Check out Digital Bath by Deftones, second track from White Pony..... It's tweaked up the way drums are in military marching bands 😉 Tight as a gnat's chuff in fact

Veruca Salt.. great guitar band fronted by female guitarist/vocalists. Lush. The same. HEART... those fabulous Wilson sisters. The Runaways. The Donnas. There are others that people will add to the list like L7, Belly, the Breeders, etc. plus all the solo artists like Ford and Benatar. All great. Also I would recommend the Go-Gos from their punk days before they went pop.
I remember hearing this song a couple times in middle school, I remembered there was "Jackson" in the name but could never find em. Then this just pops out of no where. Holy shit I missed this song so much. glad we could reunite as old fogees.
Live on Conan 1997 version of "Naked Eye" by Luscious Jackson is a gratifying song to listen to and a mesmerizing live performance even with the haunting tragic life themes creatively woven into this song. This memorable played on my mind earliier today when I luckily heard another version of this song via a music player app.

I just heard this song today on the radio and it’s so simple but so goood
Wish I could go back to 97!
100%. I wish I could see them again. The one and only time I saw them was before I started listening to them, so I know I'd enjoy it even more now.

The 90s was the best decade for women in rock. A high concentration of excellence.
Anyone watching in 2024? I saw LJ open up for Live in 1997. They were awesome and totally rocked.
Amazing! That must have been a great show!
I saw Live back then, but can’t remember who opened. No way they could have been as good as LJ though…
I remember hearing about them. But, I had forgotten about them.

Badass!! On the recording I thought the snare rolls were samples but I see she got that shit on lock!

Hi
Nah, still hear this on the radio occasionally.
Perhaps
The Pixies ,Krampus
That band is called Stereophonics, mate.
I never thought that the 90s would be the good old days.
That drummer is Kate Schellenbach, original drummer for the punk band -turned hip hop band Beastie Boys. One of the funkiest beats of the 90s!
It's interesting reading other folk's comments on here.

Kate Schellenbach…an excellent drummer / musician and original Beastie Boys member / founder. Love her style
its a sick song!😃
It is wonderful to see people who actually play and sing. She's working that bass as hard as she was twirling the keychain in the video.
The keyboard player was twirling the chain.
Just checked out the video, and it turns out both of them were twirling the keychain.
Exactly
The tone of the snare is the business!! I love the beat of this tune. No auto tune, no bs. Just great musicians.
Backing harmony from the keyboard player is awesome.

Saw them at Lollapalooza 94 on the second stage and was blown away. Such a cool band.
That chorus hits every single time. What a hook.
I love how they harmonize there singing sounds so pretty
Blown away by them pulling this off "live" Sounding awesome !
