I agree, the fact Kiryu's Daidodji brother got killed after everything in Gaiden by a random goon with a gun is just so annoying.
The only thing I sometimes have negative thoughts about in Yakuza is deaths and when a random character T poses in front of someone to catch a bullet for them.
It's sad in a real life way, not a well written way, idk how to explain it

I REALLY wish Shishido made an small appearance or at least a name drop. He was way too badass to be forgotten. Not even Nishintani was mentioned, Watase barley had significance in 8 as well!
I was really surprised watase of all folks was barely mentioned although Tsuruno,shishido make sense as they are likenesses even though Tsuruno should’ve reappeared.
I don't think when they made 8 that they were even a concept yet tbf but yeah still i agree lol
