    A Russian RUclipsr named Daniil Orain has gained a large following by interviewing regular Russians about their views on everything from the War in Ukraine to Putin.
    In this video, he asks Russians whether Russia should invade Poland. The sheer delusions of the people he is speaking to is rather chilling. How separated they are from reality and the truth of history makes it obvious just how impossible it will be to expect any organic change within Russia.
    (Important context: Poland was invaded by Russia just before WW2 after Stalin signed a secret treaty with Hitler. When Russia occupied Poland, they systematically massacred over 22,000 Polish Officers and intelligentsia on a single day.
    When Hitler ended up betraying Stalin and invaded Russia, Poland found itself stuck between two powers that didn't want it to exist. As Russia eventually pushed the Nazi's back to the Polish border, they sent messages to the Polish resistance to rise up promising they would time their military campaign to help them. It was a lie, the Russians merely wanted the Nazi's to wipe out any Polish resistance fighters so there'd be less resistance to their own colonisation after the war.
    Poland would remain under Russian control until the end of the Cold War... so you can understand why Polish people are wary of Russia.)A Russian RUclipsr named Daniil Orain has gained a large following by interviewing regular Russians about their views on everything from the War in Ukraine to Putin.

    Wow you asked Russians what they think about the current events. Cutting edge reporting! There is nothing in this "report" that the number of other independent journalists haven't been doing for years. Old Russians think that it's the fault of the United States and that Putin is a kind, benevolent, smart leader who is just fighting for his people. The young are either to afraid or cowardly to name the cause of this catastrophic conflict or completely uninterested in the whole thing.
    Here is an idea, send Batya Ungar-Sargon to Ukraine. Have her visit all the families who lost their husbands sons and daughters. Have her talk to men who have lost limbs in this war. Have her talk to mothers whose children have been kidnapped or killed by Putin’s hordes. Have her talk to all the women who have been raped by the Russian soldiers. Have her visit all the cities and towns devastated by Russian forces. Maybe than she can stop taking nonsense about negotiating with evil and blaming the west for what is happening in Ukraine. Now that would be cutting edge journalism I would PAY to see.

      There is value in understanding what a population of a state without free press thinks on this topic. If you think this somehow made Russia look better or was a softball you’re missing the point completely. You spent time writing out a stupid, useless comment. Well done.

    • @stevo9276
      @stevo9276 9 часов назад +5

      @@jessemadison8596 At no point did I say that there is no value in asking Russians their opinions. My first criticism is that we know what their opinions are because many journalists have been asking them for their opinions since the war started. There is nothing profound or new in this video that hasn’t already been covered, ad nauseam, for the last 3 years. This is lazy journalism from an outfit that is supposed to be an alternative to lazy journalism. My second criticism is that The Free Press has a very prominent “journalist” on their staff who thinks that this war is “our” (the wests) fault. That somehow “we” caused Putin to start invading and mass murdering; and that the way out is to concede to him by “negotiations”. My suggestion is that the person in question should go to Ukraine herself and maybe ask Ukrainians for their opinions about the war. Wouldn’t that be good journalism to have a person with an opposing view challenge herself and consider that she may be completely wrong. That would be real reporting, and a genuine alternative to “legacy and mainstream media”.
      By the way, these were softball questions. Hard questions would have been showing them pictures of fields of dead Russian soldiers, pictures of destroyed Ukrainian cities, interviews with victims of Russian torture and rape, and then, after they face the reality of this war, asking them what they think about the war.
      I also find It ironic that you think my comment is “stupid and useless” because you dislike my criticism of a video. A video about people’s opinions about a war their country started. A country in which you are not allowed to criticize anything the government does.

    It’s nice to see the Russian people doing their thing and staying strong through all of it. It’s in their DNA I suppose. The people and culture are fascinating. I couldn’t imagine a world where American would look so different. I feel closer to their culture than I do ours or Europe’s at this point. They have a culture to be proud of and I really admire them for preserving it and not losing their identity as a people 🤍 I wish I could say the same about Europe and the US, but there’s too much diversity lacking loyalty. There’s something nostalgic about Russian architecture and the beauty maintained there. Maybe it’s the people, but it feels more like home or a place I feel akin to. It’s clean.
    Idk what it is, but America has changed. I love my country, but our culture needs repairing. I wish there were more people in the US walking around town acting normal and social. The people are rude, selfish, and ignorant lately. Especially in FL. It’s like they came from another planet. 😂 The US is barely recognizable at times. Maybe it will improve when Trump starts his massive deportation of illegal “aliens”? Idk what to expect, but it will be good and make life better than it is now. Hopefully he will end the war quickly, but it isn’t our war lol it’s a distraction. ❤❤
