This guy is a prisoner of war, and if it's the first time you watch a video on PoWs taken near the front line (before they undress), know that it's common practice (at least on the Ukrainian side) to preserve them from "friendly fire" by this method, or a armband, until they are evacuated to the rear. Also, their white or red ribbon is immediately removed, as well as their unit's and grade's patches, for same or other reasons (Russian snipers, for example). Unless the environment is dangerous, they are also stripped from helmet and body armour, so that they can't be confused with Ukrainian regulars.
