Ukrainian Warriors and President Zelensky, you amaze the World with your Courage, Strength and Determination... All it takes for Evil to win is for Good to do nothing. We can achieve anything when we all work together... God Bless Ukraine from the UK
As estonian (who understands russian language)I think you have good understanding about the situation in region/Ukraine. Also I like your calm clear-thinking voice, good background podcast while working. Recommend.
Thank you, Jonathan, for another excellent Silicon Bites episode. Seems, you live on a totally different timeline. Or better said, on many alternative timelines, given the content you produce and the activities you engage in. Amazing. I hope, you will have an excellent trip to Ukraine. Looking forward to your reporting out of Ukraine. Safe skies to you! 🇺🇦 Перемоги та миру всім українцям! 🇺🇦
The Question ... Is Not If China will Turn on Russia ... But When Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was a pivotal error - the type that precludes a return to the pre-war status quo. Instead, such errors lead to alternatives that are far less desirable. The question is not whether Russia will lose its war against Ukraine (in strategic terms, it already has), but only how big the loss will be. The war has cost Russia more than 800,000 casualties. It has forced Russia to reorient its lucrative European energy trade to less profitable markets. It has depressed productivity through sanctions. It has led to the impoundment of its foreign-exchange reserves, with the accruing interest diverted to Ukraine. It has triggered the flight of hundreds of thousands of prime working-age citizens (often highly educated and in the crucial tech sector). It has precipitated the bombing of Russian factories, military bases, and infrastructure, as well as the first invasion of its territory (in the Kursk region) since World War II. And it has brought about the expansion and reinvigoration of NATO, with Sweden and Finland’s accession to membership in the alliance transforming the Baltic Sea into a NATO lake. The question is not whether China will turn on Russia, but when. China will eventually eat Russia’s lunch; the only remaining uncertainty is how big the meal will be. Russia has expended much of its Cold War arsenal on Ukraine, leaving Siberia wide open to Chinese ambitions. Siberia has the resources that China covets: not only energy and minerals, but, more importantly, water
Possibly although China is focused on Taiwan. After all Hitler would have rather Japan attack the Soviet Union in 1941 but Japan had it's own priorities
@@charlesburgoyne-probyn6044 Why would China Risk an encounter with Western Forces from All over the World . Russian territory ..especially the Far East land is Populated with mostly Chinese . China could probably get Crowd Funding from western Countries if they decided to Take parts of Russia . They are already doing it by dictating to Putin what prices China will Pay for the Russian resources . Its Not like Putin has much choice with the Sanctions
Russia in 2022 was flush with cash and feeling confident and aggressive. China is in the opposite position with a struggling ecomomy. China's only hope is to trade its way out of that hole, and it needs a stable and prosperous global economy to do that. Additionally, China now knows how the West will react should it start its own war, and with China already being on the back foot financially, it would likely be reticent to make Putin's mistakes.
It is so important that EVERYONE understands what living under the "safety blanket" of Russia really means. Imagine being kidnapped and forced into a dark cellar where no one can hear you scream. You are fed and watered when your captor sees fit. Your freedom of speech, freedom of movement and even your freedom of thought have been taken away. Can you imagine that? Now imagine living under Russian rule... THEY ARE THE SAME ! Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦
The attack on the fuel storage in the Engels 2 base for TU-169 strategic bombers is significant because the supersonic TU-160s require a special fuel, T-8V. (One source calls it T-8V) So Ukraine might get a short respite from those cruise missiles and glide bombs.
Jonathan I have a question: I am aware of efforts by people like you, Jake Broe, etc., to directly help Ukraine….is there any awareness of similar ‘grass roots’ efforts to help Russia? And I don’t mean IRB/FSB/Wagner type efforts, sponsored by the Russian government….and if so, what do they look like? What type of people are behind it, etc? I suppose you could count black market profiteers who try to source embargoed goods, but I am thinking of ‘greater glory of Russia’ types outside of the country…note, I have zero interest in seeing them successful, but much like how news bubbles have developed over the last few years, there must be a bubble of people who think it’s’ Russia that is in the right, and needs help…
Referring to drones as "cutting edge" is somewhat misleading. Looking at the effects, I think clubbing things into non-existence is nore the style. Restarting fires to utterly destroy aerial capabilities by removing fuel lacks subtlety, but is certainly effective!
-The Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine, adopted on July 16, 1990, explicitly mentions Ukraine's intent to follow a policy of permanent neutrality. This document, predating Ukraine's Declaration of Independence, was a key step in asserting Ukraine's sovereignty while still within the Soviet Union. 1. 1990 Declaration of State Sovereignty: Prior to independence, this declaration (adopted on July 16, 1990) outlined principles of non-alignment and neutrality as part of Ukraine's aspirations for sovereignty. 2. Post-independence Security Policy: Ukraine's neutrality was more formally articulated in its 1996 Constitution, where Article 18 states that Ukraine's foreign policy is based on the principles of non-alignment and neutrality. 3. Budapest Memorandum (1994): Although not directly related to the Declaration of Independence, Ukraine's commitment to neutrality was reinforced in this agreement, where Ukraine gave up its nuclear arsenal in exchange for assurances of territorial integrity and sovereignty from major powers, including Russia, the USA, and the UK. CONCLUSION: Ukraine broke all deals and its own declarations and now they have reality of war. The problem is that delusional political elite do not talk about it especially MSM pushing people like this lady to disaster.
Russian missiles and drones tore Ukrainian military and energy infrastructure apart this morning, with Ukrainian gas infrastructure now fair game in crippling strikes, because gas is critically important to Ukraine domestically and economically, and a utility that's not easily replaced, unlike electricity via a generator. Ukraine went from having free gas last week, to losing both the supply and the infrastructure!😂😂 along with having no electricity.
Seems fine to me? Maybe you have an issue with the content, not the delivery? Either way this isn’t an airport so you don’t need to announce your departure 😁
Why blame others just because you own poor quality speakers and would take all day to read the subtitles of a video that is less than eight minutes long? I do not expect a reply today, of course, as this will take you at least 6 hours to read.

Jonathan is living in a different universe. No doubt when the Russians are at the Dnieper river from kiev to Kherson ukraine will still be winning.
