Subscribed...you are someone who really gets the massive talent that was Stevie...There are other great guitarists out there that could match his technical skill but no one had the passion, soul, and showmanship that he did! Truly the best.
SRV is like walking on hot coals - you've gotta move. My head was moving like a Bobble Head Doll. The band was tight and killing it. Great commentary and info about the music.
SRV was definitely comfortable allowing his band mates to take the lead during LIVE performances. I read somewhere that when Stevie and the boys would do gigs around town, he made sure that any and all cover charges were split up evenly between him and band. He may have been the show that his fans came to see, but he knew it took all of them to deliver a performance at the level we just witnessed. You will find that every one of your supporters, who actually grew up w/Stevie and watched him grow into the performer he had become, always says that SRV was the most 'humble and down-to-earth person' many of them have ever known. RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan .. 🎸
He was as humble as he was talented ❤ As far as I know, he continued to pay each of his band mates the same as he paid himself throughout. He was such a kind human being.
You ALWAYS know that ANY Stevie Ray Vaughan performance is going to be great,, BUT I would STRONGLY SUGGEST watching the Official Music Video for this one. 🔥❤🔥
Stevie's brother, Jimmie Lee, once said, "Stevie never plays a song the same way ONCE, much less TWICE." Stevie described his playing this way: "I play the guitar like I'm trying to break out of prison!' This is my favorite SRV song and my favorite performance of the song. 🎸
Couldn't click fast enough ‼️. Yes it's been a minute since you've done our Stevie🎸🎶. Another great one from this same concert is an original from Stevie called "Aint Gone 'N' Give Up On Love". And Reece Wynans on piano🎹‼️. This was the year he joined the group and brought so much to the table. Stevie turned him loose a lot from here on out! Mary Had A Little Lamb from Austin City Limits 1989 has a great 🎹 solo and my favorite of all of Stevie's creations is Riveria Paradise ACL 1989 featuresReece as well and is considered Stevie's masterpiece. For a completely different sound from him it is a must see💯. Thanks for bringing this today Shawn🙌👏👌‼️
My 2 absolute favorite Official Music Videos by Stevie Ray Vaughan are "Couldn't Stand The Weather" & "Superstition" (Funny & Includes a surprise cameo at the end.)
Take a look at Stevie's Sound Check video sometime. It's pretty insane given the sound check was around 7am and SRV was already on 🔥🔥🔥 not to mention sharply dressed 💚🎶🎵
A Did You Know ? about keyboardist Reese Wynans . On March 26 1969 , the day recognized as the day the Allman Brothers Band was born . BUT with brother Gregg still in L.A. , Reese Wynans was the keyboard player in the jam session that ended with Duane Allman telling Berry Oakley , Dickey Betts , Butch Trucks & Jaimoe , "Anyone in this room who ain't gonna be in my band is going to have to fight their way out of here !"
Reese Wynans (keyboards) has been playing with Joe Bonamassa since 2015. Chris Layton (drums) has been touring with the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band since 2006. Tommy Shannon (bass) has had some health issues and I don't believe is playing much anymore.
Yea man, for true artists, it's all about each song. I was lucky enough to see SRV in the late 80s in Austin man, it was amazing, peace Shawn. Edit: To your point that Stevie went too soon, I often think about if Jimi Hendrix would have lived longer, all the beautiful music he would have produced, such a shame.
Just like Jeff Beck SRV was a guitar GOD for his style of playing just like David Gilmore, Slash, Joe Walsh Steve Vai and so many more. I can’t wait to see what the finale tune for today will be. Great music, great channel and great host.
Title track to his 2nd album. You’re right. He was all that, and I was in Austin to see it from ‘83-‘90. Reese Wynans started with Dickey Betts’ Second Coming and The Allman Brothers Band, which Stevie loved. Double Trouble was a band of brothers, and they adopted him as their own.
I loved this reaction!!!!! ❤ SRV!!!!!!!
😎🤘🔥 my favorite banger by Stevie Ray!! Heck yeah Shawn, that's the way to start the morning!! 😎

This is one of my many Stevie favs. The whole band is so damned good!
Still miss him
Wow, he could play that guitar so good!👍👏👏👏🎸🎸🎼🎵🎶👏👏👏🎸🎸🎶
Perfectly said Shawn.
My favorite SRV song and a fantastic performance! We miss ya, Stevie!!
Absolutely amazing ❤
Amazing, insane. That groove!!! Incredible Reese solo. What to say about SRV, The best of all times

@@Donnagilbert6497 And 'talent' oozed from every pore on his body ...
It's all about the music for Stevie.
I am so lucky to have seen him live. He got me naturally high.
I’ll always be grateful that I was able to see him live once in the mid 80s.
His keyboard player is still playing with Joe Bonamassa and is just as good today as he was back then . His name is Reese Wyans .
You ALWAYS know that ANY Stevie Ray Vaughan performance is going to be great,, BUT I would STRONGLY SUGGEST watching the Official Music Video for this one. 🔥❤🔥
Stevie Ray. Vaughan ! What an incredible musician ❤👌.
That bass player is the definition of smooth. Just clean, steady and smooth as butter cream.
The music just flowed through this man's veins!
Indeed...Through his veins and onto the strings. What a master musician.
One of the greatest ever
SRV FOREVER!!!☮
Any SRV imo is great to listen and if possible to see live...🎸💐R.I.P. Stevie💐🎸
What a freakin legend! R.I.P. SRV - such a jam. I wish I could have seen him live

Great suggestion!!!!!

wow!!!!
You get it.
Cold shot is great one to check out
Shawn, if I might suggest, watch SRV videos of him at Austin city limits in1989. He was clean and sober by then, and his playing showed it.
You should check out Stevie and Albert King - Born Under A Bad Sign ( In Session).. there’s other great songs from the same show.
Reese Wynans on keys. One of the best.
I hit the like button before you said yo! It’s the title track from their second album 🔥
Have you done ‘life without you’ about his guitar guy and was with him, died and he really misses him. Great performance
SRV Is level at which all other guitarits are based on. Caught 3 shows in 82 85 and 89.
Reese (Fingers) Wynans on Piano, looking so young back then, he plays with Joe Bonamassa now
great reaction...agree with everything you said.
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The goatiest goat in all of goatness
Miss that guy… He was a guitar 🎸 stud!!

Reese Wynans on keys. Still awesome. Plays with Bonomassa now
Yes thank you cuz that's the way I feel about him and it's banned. They are the best and Stevie. Ray, nobody can beat him!

❤ it! Thank You 😊

Reece stripped the color of those Keyes!!😂❤

SRV saved music. He rose to fame in the midst of the the soulless synth-driven music of the 80s. He died way too young.
I swear , Keyboardist Reese Wynans has the longest fingers I've ever seen on a musician ! .... just sayin' 🙂
Try listening to Rude Mood
Poor man's HENDRIX
