I tell you, he never played a song the same way twice. Improvised every time. Stevie was the absolute best! By the way, he was nearing the height of his cocaine and alcohol addiction at this time. You can see it in his eyes, for sure. Thank the Lord he got clean---and gave Him the glory for it!
That's actually a great point. Stevie was clean and operating on all cylinders when he passed away. Few of us will be able to claim such circumstances.
In 1989 I saw SRV at UC Davis in Davis CA near Sacramento. Bought tickets from a guy standing out front. Paid face value of $20 each for two 3rd row aisle seats. It was a double bill with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck. They played separately then played together. It was fantastic. Saw him at the same University 2 years before. That show was standing room only and I was leaning on the stage. He was sweating so much it was pouring off him. He played his ass off. We were already standing but would have risen to give him a standing ovation. So many artists died in aircraft accidents RIP SRV. Love your channel. So cute

I know Stevie had an injured right hand and half-way through his set, he tore the bandage wrap off his hand midway through the tune he was playing because of it impeding his play. He and Jeff played some tunes together as well, creating a wonderful experience from two of the finest! Great show!
Saw him and Jeff Beck at Louisville Gardens in Nov 1989. It was so loud that we gave up 7th row seats and watched with binoculars as far away as possible. When Jeff Beck came out to do an encore with him, he kept motioning for Stevie to turn it down, and Stevie just turned his head and shook "NO". The best concert of my life!

Grew up in Houston and saw him at Rockerfellas. That was before Tommy Shannon joined the group and was "sitting in" for the night. I couldn't hear for several days after.. Then later while at UT in Austin I got to see him a couple more times at Antoines. He was even better. The man was unreal on stage. You get to see something so much above everyone else just a few times in life and SRV was it.. another reactor asked "Did you guys know what you were seeing?".. Yes, we did! And we spent the next 30 plus years telling everyone else what they were missing...
I saw Stevie Ray live seven times between 1983 and 89. First time was at the Wax Museum nightclub in Washington DC, chest high at the foot of the stage for the midnight show and none of us were the same after that. Last time was at Capital Centre in Maryland when he shared the bill with Jeff Beck. A greater night could not be had. And in 1985, I got to meet him by the buses at Constitution Hall in DC. Nice man. Signed SRV on my baseball cap. I asked him to come back to DC sometime, and he said in that long Texas drawl "Sure thang, buddy" and off into the night went the one of the greatest guitarist of his or any other era.
SRV has the most natural flow of any guitarist ever. It flows out like water in the stream for SRV. I saw him the first time at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego in 1983. It blew my mind, and I saw him 5 more times before his early passing. The last time was 1990 a month before his death, with Joe Cooker again in San Diego at the Sports Arena. I am so grateful I got to see him so many times during his short time.
I saw Stevie Ray, for the first time, April 20, 1986. I was sixteen. He played in a gym, at Monmouth College. It was about 1,500 people. Stevie Ray was a transformative musician. I’ve heard others say this before, “Stevie Ray melted my face off”. I can’t think of another way to say it. I went in, knowing the records. I knew that he was a great player. Seeing a virtuoso of his magnitude and sheer power, at 16, destroyed everything I knew about music, in the very best way. I saw him several times, after that show. Stevie Ray set the bar. I can’t think of another musician that ends so many comparisons of musicians. “Hey, _______, is a great musician, but you never saw Stevie Ray.” Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble melted my face off.
I was lucky to see him in 89. SRV had a channel that was wide open to the universe and it was limitless. Unlike Jimi, who would sometimes get lost in a solo, SRV always knew exactly where he was, where he was going and how to get back and he knew it before ever hitting the first chord of the set. No thinking just him, the muse, the universe and a direct line to joy in creation.
Limitless you say? That is what Jimi was, he was open to the universe. He was a searcher looking for new things. SRV was actually very safe and traditional in his playing. Predictable even. He was great, very intense, always in the groove but he was not revolutionary. He improvised but never completely changed things. Jimi did that all the time. Jimi took more risks so sometimes it was a bit hit and miss but when he was inspired, he had no equal. Voodoo Child from Woodstock, Hawaii, The Royal Albert Hall and Berkeley are much better in my opinion. Besides that, SRV's tone is too clean for this song.
@@hesch-tag The Stevie vs. Jimi debate will live forever, I believe. For what it's worth, I'm firmly in Stevie's camp. Jimi was certainly the more creative/innovative one. However, in every other way, Stevie eclipsed him. He was sounder technically, hardly, if ever, seemed sloppy in his playing, had an amazingly deep, gritty tone, and had an unmatched physicality: playing a guitar with almost impossibly heavy-gauged strings and high action, bending and manipulating those cables with mind-boggling precision. Also, he was nearly as sweet and humble of a guy as he was an incredible guitarist. Anyway, have a great day. And thanks for sharing your thoughts.
There are a handful of artists that when I see their name here on YT for reactions, analysis etc.. I click to watch. SRV is one of them. One of my favorites! There are so many great high quality performances of his out there to check out. Highly recommended!
One other thing, I did not have an opportunity to see him in person. I do remember watching his Austin City Limits performance on TV in 89 as a teenager and that's when a lot of things clicked for me in realizing what types of music I really loved and how I wanted to craft my playing style. Will always regret not seeing a concert in person. Thank you for sharing.
I’m watching from Trinidad, Texas. He never played a song the same way twice. His brother Jimmie said “Hell, he never played it the same way once!” He played without knowing what was next. What went through his mind was immediately translated through his hands. The only things he really thought about were his vocals. This is about 1985. You can tell by how he looks and because that’s when he most often used to go into the full Hendrix “Power Of Love” in the middle, but it was a new creation every time. Double Trouble stayed on their toes. They had to! Thank you for this! I got to see him play many times in Dallas and Austin, San Marcos and Manor, Texas. I saw him watching The Grateful Dead at Manor Downs and several times at Antone’s and once at an Eric Johnson show. He’d show up at Fabulous Thunderbirds shows if he was in town and jump onstage and play with his brother Jimmie, and his brother did the same. Jimmie plays on the studio version of “Couldn’t Stand The Weather”, and probably several others.
This is a master class in blues improvisation. He gets an idea at about 4:30 and works it in every imaginable direction, exploring all the angle until settling on the up stroke figure, and works it right back into the theme after 7:30.
I knew Stevie before he was famous around 1980 and 81 he taught me so much. Like if you watch his pick he is holding it very close to the edge. That gives the strings vibration and the sharp tones he has.. A lot like billy gibbons of zz top. He also show me the super glue trick. A seasoned guitarist has very tough callous on the tips of our fingers but when you play hard for a long time sometimes the callous come off. You can not play without them your sound is gone and it hurts like hell. Stevie handed me a tube of super glue and said here glues them back on. And dam it worked that night but the next day you have to pill them off and start making new callous. Also I am sure Stevie would not have like this video because it was a time when he as myself was knee deep in our addictions. I know from experience he was as high as a human can get in this video. I sure miss that wonderful man he gave me hope as a young guitarist. I knew when I met him that night and we picked together he was special and was going to go all the way he never talked about being famous because he didn't he just wanted to show everybody his gift that he worked so many hours and years on and the feedback he got back from his audience was his reward❤ miss you bro.. On a side note my house exploded about a month ago I was out of town playing and when I got home I thought I smelled natural gas I looked around when in to the pantry in the carport cut the light on and BOOM 💥 I was thrown about 20 feet into my pickup truck my 90 yr old aunt was there watching my house while I was gone came to see what happened at this point the house was completely engulfed in ragging flames she just froze I ran back in and grabbed her and took her outside went back in to save dog Sargent but couldn't find him then I caught fire unbeknownst to me he was in the backyard safe. Ran back out put myself out was about to go back in when my aunt told me he was in the backyard Iooked down at my hands and all the flesh on my hands was completely gone. My long blonde hair was burnt I I moved my Harley and my Corvette out of the carport but both was melted. But I lost everything including some memories and pictures of Stevie a long all 30 of my guitars and other very expensive musical equipment. I was insured but it won't bring back the things that ment the most to me. I was in intensive care for 6 days found out later the fire came from a ruptured gas line on the dryer. 😢 I'll probably never be able to play the guitar again and I'm crushed😢😢
I was blessed enough to see Stevie twice. The 1st time was at Le Claire Park along the Mississippi River. I was maybe 20 foot away from him. The 2nd time was at Alpine Valley the night he died. Stevie, his brother Jimmy, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and Robert Cray were all there. The concert is on RUclips, as is the last song played, which was Sweet Home Chicago. They all took turns with lengthy solos. Stevie was in a hurry to fly back to Chicago, he got on a helicopter piloted by someone who flunked their instruments only test. The fog was rolling in and instead of going straight up till he knew he was high enough, the pilot started turning too soon and flew right into a ski slope.
I was blessed to see Stevie Ray in my college gym at Humboldt State University - now Cal Poly Humboldt- back in the late 80's. I knew he was special and a virtuoso instantly and that I was very lucky to be watching him play-including behind his back- in such an intimate venue, and that I would cherish this memory for ever. God bless his soul.
You had me at hello. I saw Steve iive in Park Cityt, Utah aroind 1986 - outdoor concert. I was already a hugh fan and of course got comeletly blown away.
Saw him in 1983 in Gainesville, Fla for a free concert when he was just starting out. His guitar completely dominated the soundscape. Played three Hendrix covers, including the one is this video.
Saw SRV at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas a couple of miles from his childhood home !☺️ What a party 🍻 saw him twice in Austin and once in Houston always a fantastic performance 👏👏👏👏. R.I.P. SRV you are missed 😢💔
You can tell Stevie was not at his best this day. He said later at that time he would put cocaine in a glass of Jack Daniels every morning just to get out of bed. He got sober before his tragic death. Even not at his best he was amazing. RIP Stevie.
That’s a "blues man" for you. Stevie came up hard, first using alcohol as young as eight. He fortunately got sober before booze and drugs wrecked him, but he had definitely paid his dues by then.

Hi Maddy! Great review! I saw SRV a total of 3 times. 1984-Aragon Ballroom, Chicago. Albert Collins opened for him. 1986-Newport Jazz Fest, Newport, RI. I was right in front and there is video of his concert there. 1990-Sioux Falls Arena, Sioux Falls, SD. He was clean and sober and to me it was his best. All time where like going to church, if you know what I mean.
I saw Stevie Ray many times in Austin back in the 80's. Saw him in bars around town, sometimes playing guitar with a couple of Texas blues gals, Marcia Ball and Lou Ann Barton. One time he was playing a charity thing at a rodeo place in Manor TX, and he was so drunk and drugged up he could barely stand. Only time I ever heard people booing him. One really memorable time was when I saw him at a park called Auditorium Shores in Austin. He had just put out the album "Couldn't Stand the Weather" and while he was playing a big thunderstorm rolled thru. Of course, they had to leave the stage or risk electrocution. The crowd went wild screaming "We can stand the weather!". Everyone got drenched, but everyone stayed and rode out the storm. Eventually, Stevie Ray resumed and finished the concert. Good times, back when Austin was a great place.
I live in Texas and was blessed to se him Down in Austin When he played all the Clubs there.He was always jamming and blowing people away with his talent.The Arc Angel's are from Austin and they all ran together with Lou Ann Barton.They were all over the Austin music scene.

I like his performance of this at Live at the El Mocambo and at both Austin Limits performances. They are actually all great and different, which has been said many times.before. I love everything that Stevie has done. An amazing artist!
A similar but still different version of this is the Toyko 1985 concert. That concert doesn't get a lot of play but it is excellent. Like this version it takes many side trips weaving in and out of the melody and really not wanting to stop playing🎶🎸💯
Saw him 6 times. My favorite was a 2 hr concert of his att the Greek Theater. BB King opened for him. Then BB sat down in the front row and watched Stevies whole performance. But as far as this song....Best version ever!

Saw him around '87, at Pine Knob, Detroit. Open air, Detroit River in the Backround, sundown. Favorite video i saw, was a live collab with Carlos Santana and Derek Trucks, i believe. I saw him on june 24 90 @ Riverbend Music Center Cincinnati, that was unfortunately the only time i witnessed his mastery of the guitar, i witnessed quite a few great concerts in the 70's - till now, at least you can watch this video & jam to his records!
This was a really great performance! SRV covered this song in 1984 from the original Jimi Hendrix version of 1968. I was a bit too young when Jimi came to town in 68 and 69 but I really have no excuse for missing SRV. Awesome reaction Maddy!
I loved the other version better where he was playing at Austin, Texas, where he's wearing black; that version was phenomenal. In fact, that version is even better, in my opinion, than Jimi Hendrix! SRV is the GOAT!
I saw him in the early '80s at a place called JB Scott's on Central avenue in Albany New York. A request was made if anyone had any super glue. I was known as MacGyver to everyone because I always carried a little bit of everything in my vehicle emergency kit. I went backstage with my super glue and watched Stevie Ray put it on his fingers and then go out for second set. I was given a pic and a hat. Still have them. My favorite Stevie Ray songs are Texas flood done at the Elma combo and he going to give up on love done with Lonnie Mack on the American caravan

I saw SRV & DT at the University of Tennessee, Alumni Gym on Valentine's Day 1987. As you may know, he was using narcotics for a number of years and the performance I went to, was after he got clean. As time went by, he only got better with his playing. We all probably have a "Day The Music Died" with those who thrilled us with their mastery. For some people it was the loss of Jim Morrison or Hank Williams, Sr. or Janice Joplin or Richie Valens or Kurt Cobain or Jim Croce (have you reacted to him?) or Amy Winehouse or Jeff Healey or the iconic Jimi Hendrix. For me it was August 27th, 1990.
Had the privilege to have seen him 4 times. The Greek Theater twice With BB 4:33 King, Irvine Meadows with Buddy Guy and others and at Pacific Amphitheatre with Joe Cocker and others.
If you want to experience a different side of him where he really speaks through his instrument you should check out Riviera Paradise/Lenny Live In Tokyo . It would blow your socks off . No words , just pure music. I saw him twice in Canada . The first time a friend of mines band opened for him . He used to sometimes get local act to open for him . He was so cool.
I saw him at the Holiday Star in Merrillville In. Myself and 2 friends happened to be walking from our parking spot past the back stage doors and for the hell of it I pulled the handle and the door was open so we just walked in like we belonged there. The rest was history. i'm not exactly sure but I think it was his 2nd to last show.

Stevie was opening for the Rolling Stones, my co-worker was having a tailgate party while Stevie was opening. After opening was when he died in a helicopter crash. She regrets to this day.😊

Double Trouble stayed on their toes. They had to! Thank you for this! I got to see him play many times in Dallas and Austin, San Marcos and Manor, Texas. I saw him watching The Grateful Dead at Manor Downs and several times at Antone’s and once at an Eric Johnson show. He’d show up at Fabulous Thunderbirds shows if he was in town and jump onstage and play with his brother Jimmie, and his brother did the same. Jimmie plays on the studio version of “Couldn’t Stand The Weather”, and probably several others.
This is a master class in blues improvisation. He gets an idea at about 4:30 and works it in every imaginable direction, exploring all the angle until settling on the up stroke figure, and works it right back into the theme after 7:30.
He was a guitar angel literally flying too close to the ground. Bless him!
Even completely effed up he played on a level that few can duplicate.
I knew Stevie before he was famous around 1980 and 81 he taught me so much. Like if you watch his pick he is holding it very close to the edge. That gives the strings vibration and the sharp tones he has.. A lot like billy gibbons of zz top. He also show me the super glue trick. A seasoned guitarist has very tough callous on the tips of our fingers but when you play hard for a long time sometimes the callous come off. You can not play without them your sound is gone and it hurts like hell. Stevie handed me a tube of super glue and said here glues them back on. And dam it worked that night but the next day you have to pill them off and start making new callous. Also I am sure Stevie would not have like this video because it was a time when he as myself was knee deep in our addictions. I know from experience he was as high as a human can get in this video. I sure miss that wonderful man he gave me hope as a young guitarist. I knew when I met him that night and we picked together he was special and was going to go all the way he never talked about being famous because he didn't he just wanted to show everybody his gift that he worked so many hours and years on and the feedback he got back from his audience was his reward❤ miss you bro.. On a side note my house exploded about a month ago I was out of town playing and when I got home I thought I smelled natural gas I looked around when in to the pantry in the carport cut the light on and BOOM 💥 I was thrown about 20 feet into my pickup truck my 90 yr old aunt was there watching my house while I was gone came to see what happened at this point the house was completely engulfed in ragging flames she just froze I ran back in and grabbed her and took her outside went back in to save dog Sargent but couldn't find him then I caught fire unbeknownst to me he was in the backyard safe. Ran back out put myself out was about to go back in when my aunt told me he was in the backyard Iooked down at my hands and all the flesh on my hands was completely gone. My long blonde hair was burnt I I moved my Harley and my Corvette out of the carport but both was melted. But I lost everything including some memories and pictures of Stevie a long all 30 of my guitars and other very expensive musical equipment. I was insured but it won't bring back the things that ment the most to me. I was in intensive care for 6 days found out later the fire came from a ruptured gas line on the dryer. 😢 I'll probably never be able to play the guitar again and I'm crushed😢😢
I can't imagine how hard it would be to never be able to do something you love so much😢

I saw him at Red rocks with Jeff Beck...amazing. I also saw him close out the newport jazz festival Stevie was unbelievable

I was blessed enough to see Stevie twice. The 1st time was at Le Claire Park along the Mississippi River. I was maybe 20 foot away from him. The 2nd time was at Alpine Valley the night he died. Stevie, his brother Jimmy, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and Robert Cray were all there. The concert is on RUclips, as is the last song played, which was Sweet Home Chicago. They all took turns with lengthy solos. Stevie was in a hurry to fly back to Chicago, he got on a helicopter piloted by someone who flunked their instruments only test. The fog was rolling in and instead of going straight up till he knew he was high enough, the pilot started turning too soon and flew right into a ski slope.
Love to see younger people appreciating Stevie Ray.
Austin Texas. My favorite was and is Texas Flood. He is really indescribable. To sit in the room and hear this music is an unexplainable experience.

I was blessed to see Stevie Ray in my college gym at Humboldt State University - now Cal Poly Humboldt- back in the late 80's. I knew he was special and a virtuoso instantly and that I was very lucky to be watching him play-including behind his back- in such an intimate venue, and that I would cherish this memory for ever. God bless his soul.

You had me at hello. I saw Steve iive in Park Cityt, Utah aroind 1986 - outdoor concert. I was already a hugh fan and of course got comeletly blown away.
Saw him in 1983 in Gainesville, Fla for a free concert when he was just starting out. His guitar completely dominated the soundscape. Played three Hendrix covers, including the one is this video.
Everytime he plays it differently. A absolute master/genius ❤

You can tell Stevie was not at his best this day. He said later at that time he would put cocaine in a glass of Jack Daniels every morning just to get out of bed. He got sober before his tragic death. Even not at his best he was amazing. RIP Stevie.
That’s a "blues man" for you. Stevie came up hard, first using alcohol as young as eight. He fortunately got sober before booze and drugs wrecked him, but he had definitely paid his dues by then.

Hi Maddy! Great review! I saw SRV a total of 3 times. 1984-Aragon Ballroom, Chicago. Albert Collins opened for him. 1986-Newport Jazz Fest, Newport, RI. I was right in front and there is video of his concert there. 1990-Sioux Falls Arena, Sioux Falls, SD. He was clean and sober and to me it was his best. All time where like going to church, if you know what I mean.

I saw Stevie Ray many times in Austin back in the 80's. Saw him in bars around town, sometimes playing guitar with a couple of Texas blues gals, Marcia Ball and Lou Ann Barton. One time he was playing a charity thing at a rodeo place in Manor TX, and he was so drunk and drugged up he could barely stand. Only time I ever heard people booing him.
One really memorable time was when I saw him at a park called Auditorium Shores in Austin. He had just put out the album "Couldn't Stand the Weather" and while he was playing a big thunderstorm rolled thru. Of course, they had to leave the stage or risk electrocution. The crowd went wild screaming "We can stand the weather!". Everyone got drenched, but everyone stayed and rode out the storm. Eventually, Stevie Ray resumed and finished the concert.
Good times, back when Austin was a great place.

I live in Texas and was blessed to se him Down in Austin When he played all the Clubs there.He was always jamming and blowing people away with his talent.The Arc Angel's are from Austin and they all ran together with Lou Ann Barton.They were all over the Austin music scene.

I saw him at the Cotton Bowl, can't remember the year, but I'm maybe the biggest Jimi Hendrix fan you'll ever meet. SRV did JH justice on this cover of my favorite song of all time.
I like his performance of this at Live at the El Mocambo and at both Austin Limits performances. They are actually all great and different, which has been said many times.before. I love everything that Stevie has done. An amazing artist!

A similar but still different version of this is the Toyko 1985 concert. That concert doesn't get a lot of play but it is excellent. Like this version it takes many side trips weaving in and out of the melody and really not wanting to stop playing🎶🎸💯

Saw him 6 times. My favorite was a 2 hr concert of his att the Greek Theater. BB King opened for him. Then BB sat down in the front row and watched Stevies whole performance. But as far as this song....Best version ever!

I seen Stevie Ray Vaughan three times, Austin city limits were he performed in Austin Texas,I've seen him in Dallas Fort Worth and I seen him in Atlanta Georgia all was just as good as the next

Saw him around '87, at Pine Knob, Detroit. Open air, Detroit River in the Backround, sundown. Favorite video i saw, was a live collab with Carlos Santana and Derek Trucks, i believe. Saw it once (for like 10 times) and can't find it anymore. Wasn't the best quality, but best feeling... PS: did some check-up and found this (with Jimmy Vaughan). I saw him on june 24 90 @ Riverbend Music Center Cincinnati, that was unfortunately the only time i witnessed his mastery of the guitar, i witnessed quite a few great concerts in the 70's - till now, at least you can watch this video & jam to his records!

This was a really great performance! SRV covered this song in 1984 from the original Jimi Hendrix version of 1968. I was a bit too young when Jimi came to town in 68 and 69 but I really have no excuse for missing SRV. Awesome reaction Maddy!

I loved the other version better where he was playing at Austin, Texas, where he's wearing black; that version was phenomenal. In fact, that version is even better, in my opinion, than Jimi Hendrix! SRV is the GOAT!
I saw SRV on a double bill with Joe Cocker in Philadelphia at the Mann Music Center shortly before he died. What a phenomenal show!

I saw him in the early '80s at a place called JB Scott's on Central avenue in Albany New York. A request was made if anyone had any super glue. I was known as MacGyver to everyone because I always carried a little bit of everything in my vehicle emergency kit. I went backstage with my super glue and watched Stevie Ray put it on his fingers and then go out for second set. I was given a pic and a hat. Still have them. My favorite Stevie Ray songs are Texas flood done at the Elma combo and he going to give up on love done with Lonnie Mack on the American caravan
Saw him twice. First time as outside of Cleveland and he opened for Robert Plant and the second was a Halloween night in Columbus Ohio where he and Jeff Beck shared top billing. I also got to meet SRV’s older brother Jimmie once.
He was likely high as a kite while playing that. And there’s still no one who could even come close to his playing. Let that sink in.

Saw him twice. Saw him with Jeff Beck at the Los Angeles Sports Arena, and also in L.A. with Bonnie Raitt opening up for him. Once her set was finished, she said to the crowd, "Hope y'all brought some rubber underpants. You're gonna need him after Stevie gets on up here."
Saw Stevie in 1984 at Charlie Daniels' Volunteer Jam in Nashville. It was his first Nashville appearance.
I saw SRV & DT at the University of Tennessee, Alumni Gym on Valentine's Day 1987. As you may know, he was using narcotics for a number of years and the performance I went to, was after he got clean. As time went by, he only got better with his playing. We all probably have a "Day The Music Died" with those who thrilled us with their mastery. For some people it was the loss of Jim Morrison or Hank Williams, Sr. or Janice Joplin or Richie Valens or Kurt Cobain or Jim Croce (have you reacted to him?) or Amy Winehouse or Jeff Healey or the iconic Jimi Hendrix. For me it was August 27th, 1990.
Every guitarist is like " nobody can cover Jimmy " and SRV walks on the stage and says" hold my beer".

Had the privilege to have seen him 4 times. The Greek Theater twice With BB 4:33 King, Irvine Meadows with Buddy Guy and others and at Pacific Amphitheatre with Joe Cocker and others.
If you want to experience a different side of him where he really speaks through his instrument you should check out Riviera Paradise/Lenny Live In Tokyo . It would blow your socks off . No words , just pure music. I saw him twice in Canada . The first time a friend of mines band opened for him . He used to sometimes get local act to open for him . He was so cool.

I saw him at the Holiday Star in Merrillville In. Myself and 2 friends happened to be walking from our parking spot past the back stage doors and for the hell of it I pulled the handle and the door was open so we just walked in like we belonged there. The rest was history. i'm not exactly sure but I think it was his 2nd to last show.

Stevie was opening for the Rolling Stones, my co-worker was having a tailgate party while Stevie was opening. After opening was when he died in a helicopter crash. She regrets to this day.😊
