    Thanks for doing a short version of this! I was curious to see the process but not curious enough to watch it all in real time haha. I’m not someone who does much with my nails (I’m definitely a “tools not jewels” girl haha) and the only nail polish that I own is clear! If I’m feeling extra fancy I MIGHT do 2 coats, but even that is rare! In the past I tried various colours but I never really liked them on myself, so now I’m content with just a little clear shine. But I still like to see what other people do.

    Very good video. I’m loving Dazzle Dry too. Where can I find the finger rest in your video? Looks like it would be a helpful tool while polishing.

    Your nails are beautiful. I am a Dazzle Dry fan as well but still in the learning phase. I appreciate all the tips and tricks I've learned from you. Could you tell me where you got the little platform that you rest your fingers on?

    Hi Kristina, I have question. I love this system, but I've noticed I can wear t for about 1.5-2 months and then my nails start to peel. Like the tips start to separate into layers and peel. Have you had this problem? It's the best system I've used, but I can only wear it that long, then have to let my "peeling" nails heal, which takes 2-3 months before they're healthy again and then I can wear the polish again. I just wonder if it's just me, or if you've had this issue at all? I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

    • @kwernerdesign
      @kwernerdesign  2 месяца назад

      I haven't had this issue too much, but I have heard others in the DD Facebook group express similar woes. I think what has helped for many people in the group who say they experience peeling is to proactively oil and hydrate their hands and nails A LOT--even with polish on. That seems to help. Also, sometimes you can use OPI Repair Mode (which is like a serum that soaks into your nails and helps bond the layers back together) underneath your DD manicure. The few times when I have seen some peeling, I've used OPI Repair Mode before my DD manicures and upped my oil application, and that has stopped it before it becomes an issue.
      Another thing to consider... How long are you leaving the polish on your nails? Longer than 7 days? I suspect the SUPER strong adhesion of the base coat can start to cause issues as your nail grows. The nail grows but the product stays the same, but it's so sticky it pulls the top layer of your nails away from under layers. I'm sure none of this is actually scientific (haha!), but that's what I think happens. Because of this (and the fact that I want to change up my polish color), I never go longer than 7 days. DD manicures can last longer than that, but I find my nails stay strong and healthy with weekly polish changes and manicures.
      Good luck! I hope you figure something out.

    I’m located in Canada. Dazzle dry is available on Amazon Canada but extremely inflated prices. I’ve reached out to the dazzle dry company a few times but they have never responded. They will not ship to Canada. So frustrating. If anyone knows where to buy dazzle dry products in Canada, please post info

    • @kwernerdesign
      @kwernerdesign  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, it really sucks. I think I mention this in the long version of this video (the live replay), but you might look at the Dazzle Dry buy sell trade group at Facebook (It's called SELL/SWAP ONLY - I ❤️ DAZZLE DRY™ Nails). People are often selling bottles and they might be willing to ship it to Canada. Just another option to explore.

      @@kwernerdesign thank you. I’ll think on that idea. Wish dazzle dry would respond or at least consider shipping to Canada. Like come on, last time I looked Canada was connected to US!🤣🤣🙄

    Why 20 minutes dry time?

    • @kwernerdesign
      @kwernerdesign  Месяц назад

      When you do the "basic" Dazzle Dry manicure which only includes Base, Color, and Top, 5 minutes is enough time to be fully dried. However, since I added two additional layers of Transform (the ridge filler), and an extra layer of top coat (I do 2 coats instead of just 1), I find that it need just a bit more time to be FULLY dry. It's definitely dry to the touch just as quickly, but not yet rock hard. By 20 minutes it's most definitely fully dry.

      @@kwernerdesignDo you dry ridge transformer right after you apply it?

    • @kwernerdesign
      @kwernerdesign  Месяц назад +1

      1. Base coat (let dry 3 minutes)
      2. Transform (let dry 5 minutes)
      3. Transform (let dry 5 minutes)
      4. Base coat (let dry 3 minutes)
      5. Color (let dry 2-3 minutes)
      6. Color (let dry 2-3 minutes) - if you need additional coats to achieve full opacity, feel free. Just let them dry a few more minutes.
      7. Clean up with detail brush and pure acetone
      8. Top coat (do NOT wait)
      9. Top coat (let dry 5 minutes)
      If you don’t have Transform yet, replace it with the top coat, and do all the same steps as if it was Transform.
