I must say, the beach part with the sand is probably the most realistic beach I've seen in scale modeling. It's truly amazing. Lots of love, from /r/modelmakers.
@@mystikwolf7906 i've learned that no matter how good you are, there is always someone better, as long as you're happy with what you do and you are evolving and experimenting with new techniques, you'll enjoy it more.
wow. very very big compliment to your diorama. it looks so good and so realistic. every soldier can tell a story on the diorama. keep on building. i´m always glad when i can see a video from you :)
really cool :) the landing craft is really impressive and it yearns for a diorama like that. as you know i have visited the shores of the landings last october, seeing it in person even decades after the events is a very moving and interesting experience.
+Hamilkar Barkas Thanks :) Yes, I remember the videos you posted and I like them a lot. This was a huge challenge and I'm glad you like it :) Take care my friend :)
+Hamilkar Barkas Not perfect, but fine for average work. The transition water - land too sharp. Troopers only runs while on the beach for a whole platoon.
Ratibor Rus i see, you think you can correct my opinion on this. well, go ahead and show us your d-day diorama then. if you have any of course. i´d like to give an opinion about it as well.
Hamilkar Barkas I sent the link to my page in Yandex fotki. Can see my work. If there is no link, as it happens, we will write how you can find my work in another way. I'm from Russia, so if an English translation is not accurate, I apologize.
A truly perfect masterpiece! You should be really proud of yourself, qdc! You always say you are no model kit expert, but an expert you are, my good sir! You always inspire me to build my own models! Thanks for that!
Amazing work QDC! I was in France with my father not too long ago, and we visited a few museums near Omaha Beach and there we spoke to a few veterans of the French military during the conflict! It was so amazing to hear their words of gratitude for the brave men who died that day
Wow! What a great build! Fantastic!! I appreciate the hours you spend off camera to make this look so easy in 10-15 minute video clips. I'm always re-inspired by your videos to go finish up a project that has been sitting awaiting inspiration. Always excited for the next video. I have many video subscriptions, but yours is one of the only ones I get really excited for. Thank you for what I do!
+Tim Bryant You are very welcome and I appreciate your very kind words :) My next project will be the Tamiya King Tiger. I started on the wheels today and it is a fun kit to build so far. :)
Thank you ( Merci beaucoup!) very much QDC, you give me ideas and new product to explored that I did not think I can use! Please continue with your amazing video.
I feel a little "Shell Shocked" after watching this last installment of your Operation Overlord videos. The confusion and terror felt by those boys rushing ashore must have been overwhelming. We were very lucky that day save for those who gave their all. God bless America and the rest of the free world, live free or die. P.S. the diorama looks KILLER!
+James Parker Thanks. Yes, this diorama does evoke a true story, why there was an invasion, and a sacrifices that so many men had to give in order to have freedom. I'm going to tell you a true story...when I flew on the B-29 Bomber, a worker there was talking to for a half an hour after the flight how "Freedom is not free," When she said that, I think about the diorama I made. I tried to make this a realistic as possible without too much gore showing the audience how terrible war can really be. Take care buddy and have a great day!
Congratulations QDC748a !!!!! Very nice work. The water is incredible. Very realistic scene. Very pretty diorama. Thanks for the video from Spain !!!!!!
This turned out to be a superb diorama, the water splash and sandy beach look great, and the soldiers laid out in such a way give it a real story element.
Fantastic conclusion to a long term project. Great job Q! All the various element came together brilliantly. The landing craft, figures, and awesome base work are magnificently crafted. Keep building and having fun. Bill.
Outstanding! You have captured a moment in history quite well to say the least. The previous video's leading up to the finished diorama are truly a labor of love. And I hope that all modelers both young and old alike learn some lessons on patience and practice will payoff with the end project no matter how big or small or complex. Again great job-what's next!?!?!
+bob ahnert Thanks. I agree with you. You can't rush things. In a world where people want instant gratification, the phrase "Take your time to do things right" is not in most people minds anymore. My next model will be Tamiya King Tiger. Take care :)
Awesome work QDC. I can't wait to get my figures ready and post some videos for you to enjoy too. Time, as always is the killer. Thanks for the tips about the water.
Simply amazing! I knew all the parts would come together to make the perfect finished product but this is spectacular! Thanks for showing us yet another great build. Wishing you the best in 2016!
Excellent outcome, during the building process you have used all sort of techniques, what i liked most is they are easy to use not expenssive with great results. You couldn´t be more right can´t rush it has to flow by itself.....Cheers my friend good job!!!
I've been so excited to see the finished diorama, and now that I finally see it, it looks incredible. Especially all of those soldiers, that must've taken a long time to paint each and every one. Very nice job indeed!

congratulations qdc its looks great!! for Xmas I just got my first model kit and I was the panzer IV H from monogram thank you for inspiring me to make a kit.
Great work! Very smart using the kit to simulate water. You are too modest, I think you are very close to being an expert. I'm looking forward to your Tiger, I am just starting up on a Tiger 1 early with interior from Academy. A very nice kit, I got the Eduard PE and Friul tracks, as well as an Aber barrel with that. I'll be checking out your other video's.
Amazing build ! the figures must be a hell of a job but you nailed it ,thanks for sharing it ,it gave me some inspiration and advice for my next project..normaly i use still water but the next time i will use the silicon to try it out. Keep up the good work ,greatings from The Hague Holland.
+Andre De Boer You are welcome. Painting figures are the hardest, longest, and most tedious part of my project but it was well worth it. Take care and have a great day!
Well done mate, that diorama is just superb. You deserve a huge well done and I can see that you are rightly proud of your achievement. This is one of the best dioramas that I have ever seen, congratulations on a job well done.
"I'm not an expert" I think you are! I love the completed diorama, Superb work! I'd display that with a nice original b&w photo of the Dday landings behind it. Inspirational!
amazing build, you stuck a bug in me, now I want to start my build on my《F.M》LCVP kit. at least I know how to make water now. thanks. your build looks great.

Hey qdc, what an awesome Diorama! I followed all building videos and im really impressed by the endresult. The details and love you put in it are amazing! I saw a DDay photo a few days ago and it looks nearly like the scene you presented us. Again great Work! You can really see and feel through what kind of hell those brave men needed to go to make this Operation succesfull and thats what I think makes a good Diorama! Again you gave me a great Inspiration of what the DDay should look like and the step by step format makes it good and easy to follow the steps which were taken. Keep up the great work! Yep this guy is a model master he has encouraged me to produce an aircraft carrier. With an ocean also 2 destroyers with some komakazies hitting the water. 👍👌💥
QDC great build, and I'm glad you had fun doing it, it took a long time. I suspect we will see some more of your shorter build kits for a while huh? Thank you again for all these videos, you've made me relight my interest in model building again.
It's so relaxing when he puts the plastic pieces together and how they sound when they are put on.....anyone else feel that way?
