That first corner had me twitching cause it looked like you almost wouldn't catch it, but once you relaxed you did much better. Good job and cool shots!
Thank you. I was thinking to buy racing gloves, but I like to drive also somewhere else, not only on the racetrack. To drive in a normal trafiic with Sparco gloves would be really strange for me, that's why this type of gloves. I need to say, I love them. If you considering buy some, buy som better quality, it's so comfortable and ideal for driving. You have perfect grip even if your hands are wet (from sweat) and for me personally, looks stylish :) The last, but not least is, that your steering wheel won't be damaged afterwards (from rings, watch, etc...)
fun car, similar driving experience to an RX-8. I still think they should have put a little more power under the hood but these are miles better than the previous gen toyota
I completely agree with, fun factor is great, but with more power car could be more competetive. According to power and torque they are better, but they have their problems too, unfortunately very serious problems
I see people showing them having fun with this car on like mountain roads. Is this still a good choice of a car to get if you just have a lot of straight roads
Thank you for your comment. I try to explain like this. This is my style od driving: sometimes I like to have fun and make powerslides, sometimes I like to race with car and push it to the limit. Sometimes I drive highway and enjoying the car from another perspective, sometimes I like to just drive at night in the city, really slowly and calm and enjoy good music and night vibes. Doesn't matter how you like to drive it, GR86 is fun to drive :) it's just about your style...

Hey buddy, I am living in Switzerland currently. The exhausts, which are legal here...I do not know if it makes sense. I would love to buy AWE, but it's not allowed. I am considering to do some visual changes, maybe next year. What do you have changed on your car?

Are you aware of the problems the GR86 engine has? Where like if you're on track and taking a long / sharp right turn, the tilt of the car moves the fluids in such a way that the engine will blow? Toyota won't help you on your warranty when this happens, but Subaru will. Such a shame because I really wanted this car, but not if it has such a bad flaw that Toyota is fully aware of, but won't help me out when it happens. So disappointing
Hello, thank you for your comment. I am aware of this problem, but there is lot of "but" behind. I am driving it as stock and these problems are coming if you are driving the car with wider tires + semi-slick/slick tires, upgrade to more HP, etc. It's also very disappointing for me as well, but I haven't had any problem yet. And I was already on the circuit with the car and everything went well. I am also no the best and fastest driver but I am improving myself and one day I will be really fast, I am sure. I hope this situation will be clarified at this time :) I also hope that with the good maintance and with my setup happens nothing to the car. It's great car rand make a lot of fun, buy Subaru then and enjoy it :)
@@It_is_about_power - Thanks, good to know no issues for you. I would get a Subaru but I hate the way the Subaru looks compared to the Toyota. Right now I am leaning toward either a 2024 Miata, a 2014 Cayman S, or a used Lexus LC 500. Your driving is great man, and yes with time you'll be a true speed demon!
@@ikigai47get the subaru swap the bumper, the engine issues only happen when using 200 tw tires I believe while taking corners at 1.5 Gs with thin oem oil and no oil cooler. Only a couple fa24 failures have been documented.

Actually driving pushing the car and your own ability! Perfect this is what I'm looking for on YT.

Great vid. Does it help having leather gloves on a leather steering wheel? Or are they just for style points?

Where is this? Looks an amazing road..
Hi, it´s in Slovakia. You can pay and book it just for yourself. There are lot of races during the year. The most popular are uphill races.

3:03 turning the steering wheel completely and then accelerating, resulting in a skid… poor driving!⁉️🥺 donkey stop and foul horse start!😅

I'm thinking run a gear higher through most of those corners and carry more corner speed. Less exciting, but faster?
You are right. I was not trying to have best time, I was just having fun with the car :) For a clean driving please check my videos from autoslalom.
