Aerith's sacrifice is essentially the pivotal moment in the entire story, you can't really have the FFVII story without it. Both in the original and it definitely seems like it in Remake too, Aerith knows what's going to happen and she chooses to go through with it anyways in order for Holy to work and save the world. That's what makes her a hero. It would wreck the story to take that away.

Aerith In the OG didn't make some "Grand Sacrifice" She was planning to summon Holy and then reunite with the party. She was murdered.

My theory is, sephiroth in remake is the same sephiroth from advent children. Sephiroth is trying to change the timeline and Aerith is trying to stop sephiroth. The Aerith I'm referring to is the same Aerith from the original ff7 from 97. Kinda like days of future past

@jaybee4288 nah, considering in remake there is a scene where you talk to a lifestream projection of her. This aeirth is definitely a different aerith in some capacity. Aerith doesn't have that kind of control over the lifestream until after she dies.
I think according to the short story that square revealed and some lore becoming part of the lifestream tends to make people forget ones self. Sephiroth can never truly disappear into the lifestream so aerith is trying to fight him but eventually she is destined to fade away and forget. So this aerith is a different aeirth in some capacity. Now how thetimeline changes is up in the air I agree I think she will still die. But I think she will make changes to make it possible to get rid of sephiroth completely

@chaosdirge4906 I think Cloud is going to die and sacrifice himself. I saw one video ( can't remember who uploaded it). So basically after you fight Sephiroth in remake he takes you to the Edge of Creation and he says "you have 7 seconds till the end" some shit like that. So the theory is, that 7 seconds Sephiroth refers to is the time it took him to kill Aerith in the OG ff7. And that's when Cloud probably going to do some heroic shit and sacrifice himself.

Honestly, I think the point of the Whispers and the prospect of changing fate was meant to make us feel like we felt all those years ago when we believed that if we brought 99 Phoenix Downs to the Forgotten City, Aerith would be revived. *sobs* I did that! lol I played it when it originally came out, and didn't even have the internet then so me and everyone at school were trading lies, secrets, and hopes like hardcore drugs trying to save that poor girl.
Aerith's passing and so suddenly deeply hurt me. I was thirty some-odd hours in, had Great Gospel, and hadn't been spoiled to what would happen. I remember being so distraught that I even went to my parents and explained to them exactly what had happened, very stone faced but with silent tears going constantly (kind of ironic that that'd become my life's story not long after that, getting a chronic illness that even medical professionals either hadn't heard of and thought I was lying or knew all too well and were patiently sympathetic).
I remember my mother saying, somewhat confused and amazed simultaneously, "this really hurt you." I was a barely fifteen year old girl at the time, and hadn't ever suffered any true hardship in my life. Physical difficulties like no money or food for a few weeks were of course painful but it was the spirit and mind that was strong, and its obstacles were more monstrous.
Babbling. Take care Jack, wish you all the best.

Spoiler 3: Nomura created his own Doomguy in SoP
When Doomguy "saluted" FF7R, he posed for a scene...where the protagonist...was on his way *to save Aerith.*

What seems to me is that only the Cetra or Jenova (and her "descendants") can maintain a conciousness inside the lifestream. The normal flow of life is people dying and going back to the planet, their consciouness dissipates, their spirit/life energy goes back and their memories combine inside the amalgamation of memories in there. And even if the Cetra/Jenova can keep their minds, it seems like they must will it very hard, like Sephiroth hating Cloud inside the lifestream.

The way I see it, the Remake project is a re-telling or re-contextualization of the original FF7. I don’t think SE is going to fundamentally change any of the major events, themes, or outcomes for Rebirth or Part 3, just as they didn’t for Remake.
When you think about it, all the major stuff from OG 7 happened in Remake. The Bombing Missions, Wall Market, Sector 7 Plate, infiltration and escape from Shinra HQ.. The outcomes for the party remain the same even if events were told differently with added elements not seen in OG 7.
Rebirth will continue to add and build on these new elements, but at the end of the day the outcomes will be the same.

Good video. I still believe there are two timelines. There are too many holes in the lifestream theory with there being people alive in both realities and dead in both realities. And if it does turn out that Zack's timeline is the lifestream, I'll honestly be disappointed. Sephiroth also says something to the affect of "When worlds collide" or something like that in one of the trailers.
As far as the devs wanting to recreate the emotion of playing the game for the first; that makes me think that they will alter the way in which Aerith meets her fate just as they will do with Zack and other characters who have defied destiny, like Biggs. Everyone who dies in the OG will be dead by the end of Remake part 3. "How" and "when" are the big questions.

    Here's My theory :
    - The whispers are the wills of jenova who is controling the planet (meaning the main FF7 ending which lead to Advent Children is "bad ending")
    - "remake sephiroth" realised he was being used by jenova this whole time decided to fight back. He needs cloud to fight with him which lead to the random stuff he said to cloud in remake. "Hold on to that anger" "let us defy destiny". In destiny crossroads (chapter 18). He said "listen". And the planet literally crys in pain. He hints that the planet is dying. Not because of shinra. But something bigger. Aerith said the same thing in chapter 17. Then these whispers surrounds her. Interesting...
    - The final battle with harbingers of fate is happening inside the lifestream (pretty sure the devs confirmed this). We defeated them which means the lifestream is now free of "jenova's fate". Hence, Zack is free of his fate and alive. Assuming Zack's world is the lifestream..

4:16 If you slow down the clip of Cloud saying “NO,” he is swinging the buster sword toward Sephiroth who is PHYSICALLY DESCENDING DOWNWARD about to stab Aerith.
My prediction is that Cloud will swing the buster sword with the intent to stop Sephiroth from stabbing her (different from the original game where a Cloud just WATCHES Sephiroth stab her).
The tragic part is that when Cloud tries to use the buster sword to stop Sephiroth, Sephiroth will instead disappear and Cloud (midswing) will accidentally slash Aerith and kill her, making her death solely Cloud’s fault. This makes the impact of her death worse. Sephiroth didn’t kill her, it was you.

    *My Perspective and Speculations*
I was just thinking of it like this: When they created "remake" version it might meant to satisfy 'both worlds'. Those who where fans of Aerith still lost her life and those who want to see a different "canon" version of her able survive. In end i might think of it as Sq.Enix might cleverly make sure Aerith is still alive. Because there wouldnt be a "remake"(not remastered) if the outcome of Aerith tragedy did not change for those many heartfelt fans wanted too. It only be same as it was in FF7. So ofcourse so many fans DOES want to expect something different this time. Maybe Aerith will actually die in Clouds own memory. But when he wakes up(will not reveal when this event in the game or if its clash with Sephiroth and Aerith was successfully protected) she actually might still alive...there together with the party.
As all incoming scenes of Aerith in Clouds memory even at start of this FF7 remakes was already shown it creates an understanding and build up for Aerith own tragedy in Clouds mind.
And by the Cetra Ruins it will fall into places into Clouds mind. And thus in just this glimpse of future scenario that might happen Cloud will start to prepare before Cetra ruins and ensure that THAT event will not happen to Aerith again. A statement from Cloud entering Cetra Ruins or before Aerith Escape to go ahead of the party: "Aerith sacrificed her life for us. To save us and to save the planet. NOW it is out turn to SAVE Aerith to protect her from that tragic event itself. And with those statements there are possible outcomes. Aerith might still d** or someone else will d** for Aerith instead or Sephirot, knowing the outcome from his own downfall he wants to diverge from is actually to by going to Cetra ruins and stop the white Materia forming by Aerith and just let it happen and then different outcome of event will come from it that will satisfy Sephirot anyway and keep Sephiroth alive even later at end game. To not make the biggest mistake and achieve his goal he must let Aerith be alive. So even at the end. The ending we see in this FF7remake might not be the same as the old FF7. Spoilers alert and all of this comment is just speculation and guessing game: I think the real ending will be everyone is alive including Aerith in this REMAKE. And that Sephiroth still die in the end. And we see Nakaki above a prosperous city full crowded people after 1000years and at center of the midgard blooming square we see huge monument of statue from Midgard hero in the past who save this planet. We see the avalanche team including Tifa, Cloud, Aerith and other within square park.
Or another possibilities Sephiroth is defeated but not d*ad yet meaning SqEnix might create a final extra additional disc exclusively only for this special ending that comes with everyone still alive til end(before the 1000year view from Nanaki perspective said above) and this time we see Cloud, Tifa and Aerith family visiting their heroic monument and statue that they lived a great life and made generation of ancestors after. Including Aerith granddaughters who can speak even with the life stream. Something like this...and finally i think with all tragedy thats happening in world specially the RU war on Ukraine just taking an example. With that in mind world could use even if its through entertainment something a more positive, breakthrough and hype of great and clever good ending that will satisfy both worlds. So in the end my bet here is that Aerith will still be alive with everyone. And that in this remake she finally have time to board(something she couldnt do in FF7 tragically passed in Cetra Ruins) the highwind and feel as soar above the sky true happiness.

Aerith NOT dying would fundamentally break the plot and could only result in the party's failure to stop Meteor. If SE is serious about the FFVII Rewrite joining up with Advent Children, then things should progress as expected as in AC it is confirmed that Aerith is dead (as is Zack), and that her sacrifice alongside the lifestream are able to stop Jenova/Meteor.

I think everyone is taking what the devs say too much at face value. They added an entire defying fate storyline into remake. They ended it saying the unknown journey continues. They wouldn't then take all the "unknown" out of it leading into the new games.
Everything the devs are doing points to a sequel/ different timelines from the events in remake to everything they have done since. They basically have removed the unreliable narrator mystery from the game. Making sure that even new players to the story know who Zack is and his relationship with Cloud even re-releasing crisis core before the reveal in the main game. Advent Children is being re-released into theaters making sure that everyone has a chance to be familiar with the events of that movie. Advent Children is still canon to the story if this is a sequel.
My question is why make sure you completely spoil all the mystery about final fantasy 7 for new players if your goal is to just release final fantasy 7 with some elements added, but at the same time intend to attract new players to the game? Why intentionally spoil everything that makes the FF7 story special ahead of time (yes it's available but square is going out of their way to put it in front of players) if you planning on ultimately telling the same story?

i think the reference to 'someone still has to die' (basically) is done in such a way to make you think 'Aerith' right away, however, i think it's a red herring, i think he's referring to Zack. Everyone under the sun knows that Aerith dies in the original, however, Zack is a bit more niche, and it would be VERY easy to say 'yeah, Aerith dies, we didnt change that' but he goes out of his way NOT to name aerith. I think Aerith is going to be fan-serviced into a permanent playable character when all things are said and done. Now, HOW they do that?---I think that's where the NEW story is going to take us.

I think they prevent Aerith death but they realize it’ll place the world in jeopardy. Aerith makes the sacrifice and Cloud delivers the final blow to keep the story going. The twist will be they beat sephiroth and ends with cloud using masamune to redo the sephiroth kill scene.

small note for "The maiden who travels the planet" reference, in the novel the author did not described it as an alternate reality after death where people can keep their physical form. Rather it is an astral plane, a spectral zone where people's formless souls reside before disappearing into the lifestream.
Aerith is a special case, she is both Cetra and recently dead by "JenovaRoth", so she can take her last form she could remember and travel through lifestream to ask countless souls for aid and stop Sephiroth.

  • @David-bf4fz

I think she won't die, or at least not canon. It may be the character can save her with specific choices. That may be what a lot of those scenes are. Just like you can date Tifa or Aerith, she will have scenes where she can die or not die.
It is hard to tell what they will do though. Some of the things like defeating the whispers makes is seem like fate is going to change, and like you said it makes no sense for fate to change only a few small things. On the other hand, it is a defining moment in the game. On the other other hand, the defining moment of the game makes sense to change for a new game.
Ultimately my guess that she won't die comes down to sales. You can't sell games with characters that are dead. My guess is the entire point of remake not being a true remake is so that Aerith lives and they can make sequel games with her in them. When they made FF7 OG they had no idea it would be such a massive hit, so killing of a character wasn't a big deal. Now that it is an IP ripe for more games, killing off a beloved character doesn't make sense IMO. People aren't playing FF7R because they're excited to see Cloud be a failure and watch Aerith die again, they're playing it because they want to see Cloud be the hero and save her.
Obviously just a guess though, no idea what will happen. That is one thing we can say for sure, is they do want us to be unsure so that we're surprised regardless of which way it goes. It would be cool though if there's like a hidden side quest were you have to figure out what Aerith's plan is so you can get there in time to save her from Sephiroth, something most people would not find on their first play through. Would give a lot of replay incentive.

I dont agree... They clearly want and have stated they want a direct connection to Advent Children and for that to happen, Areith has to die as in Advent Children she is DEAD!
Gameplay wise, They could play with Alternate Timelines and allow a player to save her, but the Canonical Ending will always be her Self Sacrifice... Without it, The story is weakened severely! And dont get me wrong - I ADORE AERITH, Like many players back then... I wanted her to live... I did all teh fan theories to bring her back, I used Cheat Devices to bring her back...
... Now I am older, I understand that her death is VITALLY IMPORTANT to the narrative! You take that away, The story collapses and has no impact! As stated by the team... And proven in Japanese Culture "Death is important in the story"
Japan has a more "Understanding" relationship with the concept of Death than we do in the West... We treat it as a Taboo Subject, You dont want to think about the day you die... They treat it as a part of life, and inevitable and dont hide their children from the concept.

I get what you're saying and of course Barret is alive in the end, but story wise it's still very different.
The idea that Sephiroth is walking around immune to destiny while destiny ghosts are resurrecting people he kills because it wasn't meant to be that way, it's a significant change to the narrative.
Yes the party still ends up on the end of the unfinished highway deciding to search for Sephiroth. but the reasons they are searching are much more concrete as they just saw and fought the guy and the path through the game was also significantly altered too.
That common phrase "It's about the journey not the destination" comes to mind when devs talk about things still lining up with Advent Children.
Even if the main bulletpoints of the story are still being checked off the list, that journey in between them is so different that it feels odd to keep hearing "no significant changes"
That said, i'm completely on board at this point and am way happier they did it this way rather than a graphic upscale and copy paste.
I would have cheered, put 80-100 hours completing it 100% and replayed it instead of the original every few years.

I'm not a fan of the trope "this character dies, but fear not, we will show them in the afterlife for the rest of the story so you don't miss them".
I think Aerith and Zack preserving their human form within the lifestream diminishes the impact of their deaths and her sacrifice. If you sort of live another eternal life when you pass away to the lifestream, and everything is the same as in the material world, as we can see the church and all, then why should it be sad to die? let all characters die and stop worrying about Sephiroth and other mundane problems and live in eternal youth!
Returning to the planet was a key theme in the original. People died, and their conciousness dissolved into the lifestream to become part of the energy that fuels and gives life to the planet. Not being able to interact with Aerith for the last 2 discs of the game made us feel the pain of losing her, while making it very emotional when we saw a glimpse of her at the ending as an implication that she being in the lifestream was the reason the planet was saved.
Her living in a parallel world and seeing her happy and well will certainly not evoke those feelings that made these events so impactful, and the original so iconic.

  • @Lennis01

The problem with the one timeline theory, linking into Advent Children, is that it means humanity is doomed. Although the planet is saved in the main story, and Sepheroth is defeated again in Advent Children, it is established in canon that humanity will go extinct a few hundred years after this event. This doesn't strike me as something Aerith would allow to happen, assuming she retains consciousness in the lifestream. It would be a bittersweet ending indeed if we lose Aerith again and then also realize that humanity's future dies with her.

I like to think that because it IS the Lifestream, part of us is constantly there even while we're "alive," and to people who are "crossing over" it wouldn't be uncommon to come across agents or elements of people who are still alive, especially if that person is "deeply connected" to the Planet to begin with. Everything of who and what we are exists simultaneously in both life and the Lifestream, the only thing that changes between life and death is the location of our conscious awareness, our element of self and/or agency. When we're alive, it's on the surface in our bodies born of the Planet, to enact our will with others and for the Planet.
When we pass, our souls/minds return to our tether in the Lifestream. A "new" realm of memories, intent and hopes and dreams.
"Those Born of the Planet" itself implies, as does the story, that Sephiroth LEARNS of this partly through his research at the mansion and partly through Jenova (having done this before on other "planets")... that the true self exists not solely on the material nor spiritual planes, and that if one can learn to manipulate both planes through "both selves," technically one can become a god on a planetary level. If you absorb everything that is and was, and then continue that journey, you're now on Jenova's path, a path Sephiroth explicitly tells us in the OG is his goal and he thinks he can do it even better.
*shrugs* Yeah as long as Kitase keeps Nomura from Kingdom Hearts'ing the shit out of this I'm here for it. GREAT video Alex, subscribed.

They have been consistent when they said Sephiroth is representative of the original 1997 game particilarly nomura , Hamaguchi says that Zack from Crisis core reunion is not the remake game world world Zack.
What you describing as a single timeline is Intersection of the worlds that have already collided or just about to but just because their flow have intersected does mean it became one. The remake game is not the Immediate past of Sephiroth or the original game... Its a separate world that its own space time continuum connected to the life stream . same Goes with Zack's world where its a similar world but not the and yet also connected to the lifestream .

My theory is this : We are parasites. After getting out of the singularity Cloud and Co. landed in Zack's "timeline", or the timeline where no whispers controlled any events.
Thing is, there can only be one version of the same person in the world which is the reason why this world's Cloud, Aerith, Tifa...etc went comatose. Zack will see us as parasites and will be an antagonist, at least for a portion of the game.
This ties to Aerith. She will die but her soul will be transfered to this world's Aerith and same as Biggs we might get a scene where she wakes up from her coma in the end of the game. Her memories will be different from the Aerith we know, so she still died and we'll still have to mourn OUR Aerith. That's the Rebirth.

I appreciate you acknowledging aspects that may be inconsistent with your one timeline theory and give explanation for why that could still work. The more I think about it, you could totally have a lifestream storyline, however I feel like it may as well be a separate timeline anyway if it is functionally working as a "what if?" scenario alongside the main storyline (as alluded to in interviews which you point out).
One thing I don't think you've recognised is the passing of Avalanche (Red, Barret, Tifa + Aerith) in one of the early trailers as a News Report. While you could just argue that they're all sleeping, it is implied that they were once awake and were impacted upon by the tornados in Sectors 0-2 (as per the report). If this is the lifestream, then they would've been awake prior to the tornados and living their lives in the lifestream which doesn't make any sense.
A possibility you raised is they were transported from one timeline into another (one variation of the single timeline theory I've heard from babyseal and BltzZ), however it has been confirmed by trailer details that Beagle posters are in Junon. Unless this was a mistake or Square intentionally put them there to mislead us (imo unlikely) it looks like there are still two timelines.

Aerith has to die.....the reason FFVII was the impactful game that it was and the reason it is considered the greatest RPG ever, was Aerith being murdered. To remove her death is to remove the impact that warranted a modern Remake of this game. There is no other character that can be killed....even Cloud...that can replicate the feeling every single player had in 1997 during that cut scene. I do think they are going to going to give us more of Aerith either through dream sequences or Clouds mishap in the life stream being fleshed out a bit more. Wanna wild theory? It is multiple timelines it always was but the harbingers of Fait ware keeping it all together, all the same every where, always. Now they are gone, so here is where the theory starts, Sephiroth came back one before, in AC, but knows it’s fruitless as he will be defeated, so instead of coming back to life he goes back in time, making sure that our heroes destroy the Harbinger of Fait and open up destiny. He knows that his plan folded because of Aearith, the last of the Ancient controlled the lifesteam and that’s how Metor was stopped, what if this time around he doesn’t kill her, just snatches her away, keeping her barely alive. Now in the final game the party including Zack in the other timeline realise that her death is the key to save the planet must kill her themselves, so Zack in his and Cloud in his, maybe Zack needs to end her (as in the trailers she seems very catatonic) in his timeline and in the main she will do it herself. One way or another we will still loose her but this time by our own hand, MGS3 style, press X to end things type of deal.

I can’t wait for the game to drop, because I’m ready for the facts, not theories. I’m staying off the damn internet until I’ve finished my play through. Whether you’re pro Aerith living like me or pro “Remastering” the original instead of remaking the OG like the title blatantly supports, it’s time for whatever wild ride SE has in store for us to occur. 😅

I think they may end the game when Sephiroth is about to kill Aerith and leave it a cliffhanger if he does or not. And make you wait 4 years.
But the end of part 1 had to have meant something. Killing the whispers and Sephiroth asking for Cloud's help to defy destiny has to somehow coincide with the coming events in part 2. It can't just be that all that happened is Zack is alive in an alternate existence.
The three whispers you fight when you assess them are the 3 sephiroth clones from Advent children and it says they are fighting to keep the reality they come from intact.

A remake doesn't have to change the story, in fact, most remakes stick to the story and just update the graphics. Remakes are built from the ground up, whereas remasters enhance the existing game, update textures, improve resolution etc.

0:57 The various interviews done by teh developers already state they see Death as a vitally important factor in teh game - So I also believe that Areith's Death will remain intact... But in a Trailer there was an interesting line from Sepiroth and something that really when you look back, OH MAN! I dont believe it was something they planned back then but actually - It does work!
The line in teh Trailer was Sepiroth saying "If I killed her... Who is she?"
Its too early to be Arieth unless it is a Multiple Time line Theory... But there is another! And in both games, She is ESSENTIALLY KILLED...
TIFA LOCKHEART... IN the demo we clearly see Sepiroth Slash her across her Abdomen with his sword... She is NOT surviving that! In teh OG Game he runs his Masmune RIGHT THROUGH HER!
And this could be a great twist if it is as I am theorising! Tifa lives, but should not have lived... Not if she is HUMAN! "If I killed her... Then who is she?" - EXACTLY! What if she is also of Ancient Blood and simply never knew.. She lived because of the Mako around her at the reactor... Or maybe the Mako just helped save her... Tifa should have died - And didn't!
That my fan theory! I cant wait to see if I am even close!

    Something aside but
The whole point of the first part was to destroy the main charadthers destinies
Meaning anything could happen and why remake is actually just a sequel

Remake was about them "remaking their destiny" and Rebirth is about bringing her back to life in an alternate timeline, calling it now
People need to understand this is not the remake you asked for, it's a reimagining of FF7, like Ever Crisis but with better graphics. The scene may still happen, but it will be reversible this time

My bet and hope, is that someone other than aerith dies and they figure out a way to bring them back but aerith has to give her life up for theirs, and that’s how she dies. :)
Maybe going as far as the iconic death scene of aerith happens but someone pushes her out the way and gets impaled and dies for her. And then the journey to revive them happens and aerith gives her life force to them in order to bring them back to life

@@MicahLWebb I agree we're not escaping Aerith's death, one way or another. We need someone on the other side (lifestream) to help from there, because by the looks of it, Sephiroth will only be truly destroyed from inside the lifestream. I went through all the compilation already xD

I looked at the back of the Rebirth case yesterday and read "Defy Destiny Together" and laughed. I was definitely wrong about one timeline (except it's technically "worlds" and not timelines). I hope they pull it all together for part 3 into something that feels like a good payoff.

Theories are based on facts presented to you. So you cannot ignore some of them, just because they go against your theory. Marlene is in Zack's timeline. Elmyra is in Zack's timeline. Kyrie is in Zack's timeline. So Zack's timeline is not the Lifestream. Period.

I don't think she's gonna die this time. Like they said, all roads lead to Advent Children. BUT Sephiroth wants the power of destiny regardless. So I think the Whispers are gonna try to stop you from saving her when you do and he's gonna absorb them again gaining more of their power. While she won't die I think she'll get separated from everyone else post final boss and the final scene of the game is gonna show that the Party has been missing for 2 years and that Part 3 will be taking place in the Advent Children time period

    • @Phoenix2312
      @Phoenix2312 6 месяцев назад

If all roads lead to Advent Children, She has to die... In Advent Children, AREITH IS DEAD!
Think about it... What you are saying does not work! As they woudl have to remake the movie!

    • @Phoenix2312
      @Phoenix2312 6 месяцев назад

Think back though - The Original Ending was really very Ambiguous... We saw the Meteor Hit and be stopped by the power of Holy, but then had a Time Skip to Many Years after and Nanaki and his family watching over the reclamation of the planet by Nature... It was kind of a Sad Ending but ... Also not an immediate aftermath!
So, changing teh ending woudl be very easy and they woudl need to for it to fit in with Advent Children... You cannot have that Time Skip - You must show the IMMIDIATE AFTERMATH, So we will see them STOP Sepiroths Spell... And Humans will survive...
It is not that deep! But also to fit with Advent Children, AREITH MUST DIE as in Advent Children, AERITH IS DEAD! So no... Zack CANNOT save Aerith or the Games WONT FIT with Advent Children! She is 100% going to die... It is the only logical path!

  • @Bahamut998
    @Bahamut998 7 месяцев назад

Zack could be the one dying, as he's clearly alive in this timeline.
It's possible he dies to protect Aerith from her fate. Alternatively she dies and he survives.

I think zach is not alive in the planet his existing is only on cloud mind, remember he explain about nibelheim, there was two cloud just like that, how bout bigs scene i think that already happened before zach death if that was really the real zach but if not that was cloud/zach, and the scene of aerith sleep that was cloud/zach i think, same to talk to marlene that's all in cloud mind that he thinks his zach,
i just remember that every time the hollow song they play that when cloud do job with aerith for me that's not really real cloud that's is cloud/zach persona,
that's why that song HOLLOW is for cloud to zach, its not cloud for aerith it's maybe cloud/zach for aerith beside i only think this that materia aerith had for me to activate it she really need to sacrifice her life, that's why if even they managed to save her from sephiroth there's other way sephiroth try to kill her for that i don't know yet, so over all they maybe changes other part but the main important part are still the same, that's my opinion.
