2:11 At least the player with the triple shells (I can't tell if they're red or green) didn't back them... which is more than I could say about Snow (King) during my race at Cheep Cheep Beach nearly a week ago when our positions were basically the same as what was seen here. Of *COURSE* Snow backs a shell, and of *COURSE* it hits me, allowing the 12th place player to take 11th from me when Snow was in *10th* place. Backing items at the end of a race in free-for-all formats doesn't really serve a purpose, since the player backing the item(s) would be right at the finish line. In competitive team events, I could understand. There might be a teammate further back that could be helped. But in a free-for-all? That's just toxic. I'm glad the player with the shells in this timestamp had enough respect for the game to not do that. 3:21 It's funny you should say "thrice". Last night, I was watching Golden Girls reruns, and Dorothy Zbornak asked Rose Nylund something along the lines of "who even says 'thrice'?" in one of the episodes. Well... I believe I found the answer to Dorothy's question. 😆 12:15 Yes there is a Bullet extension, and as luck would have it, you used yours right at the extension spot without even knowing you were doing so. Unfortunately, it wasn't the full extension because the Bullet went away shortly after you moved into the lead. The extension would take the following U-turn after the items if you hadn't already moved into first. I loved seeing "Luigi's Hope" (the name I gave that exact build when I first saw IRyS use it over a year ago) at Royal Raceway and loved even more seeing the Blue Falcon win at Singapore. Singapore's a great course, even more so on 200cc (I know, I know, the race in this video was 150cc), as long as the items don't turn Singapore Speedway into Singapore Spamway... but when the spam does happen, it's not the course's fault. it's the other players' fault. Oh, and to answer your post-race question after the Singapore victory, there's nothing wrong with you. You were just so accustomed to Singapore Spamway that you weren't expecting a race at Singapore Speedway this time. 25:25 Do I even want to know what that crab is doing? 👀 28:13 Visually, the only thing that L.A. has is the beach in Section 1... and maybe Dodger Stadium in Section 2, but I'm not particularly fond of that. Everything else just makes me want to gouge my eyes out. If it looked anything like Daisy Circuit, I might have been able to appreciate the visuals... or at least learn to tolerate them, considering we're talking about L.A. here. Visual advantage: London. Course length, that's something where I'm actually willing to admit that L.A. is better than London. Tour city courses shouldn't be much longer than 2 minutes. L.A. gets in under the 2-minute mark. London can sometimes go past 2 minutes and *30* seconds. Time advantage: L.A. Music, London's music is pretty good for pumping the blood. Only Koseki Bijou Mountain (a.k.a. Rock Rock Mountain) is better in that department. L.A.'s music just makes me want to pull my hair out. It's *that* annoying. Even Baby Park has better music. I probably wouldn't have any issues with the music if it had been something along the lines of Ribbon Road to give off a Cali surfer vibe. Music advantage: London. Gameplay-wise, I've had better luck both running and bagging on London. Probably because I don't have over a thousand reasons to hate London. Also, the Section 3 pistons at L.A. can't be plowed through by a ⭐, which was somewhere between 1002 and 1008 on my list of reasons for hating the course (which is currently sitting at 1009). I'm not sure if a ⭐ can plow through the buses in London, but if it can be done, that only adds to London's advantage here. Gameplay advantage: London, but the degree to which is currently unknown. Overall advantage: London. Then there's the Tokyo vs. L.A. comparison. I'll take the "boring" of Tokyo over whatever the BEEP happened with L.A. any day. Sorry for the "downer" of sorts to close out my comment this time. L.A. just has that effect on me. Not just in Mario Kart, but pretty much everywhere. It wasn't always like that, but if you weren't alive in the 1980s, you wouldn't know the L.A. I once knew and loved. I hate what it's become, and it's probably never going back to how it was in the 1980s. 💔
WOW, I really appreciate how you always have watched through the entire video, then write a detailed and funny comment about each moment. 😆👍 Also, I agree that L.A. is not as great as it used to be. I have a friend who lives nearby, and the stuff he tells me is NOT good 70% of the time. 😞
@F0Hero This type of comment started when I was playing in Alex's tournaments and couldn't watch the stream simultaneously. I would play the tournament live, then return to Alex's VOD to post timestamp commentary. Then I started doing the same thing with Justin's streams, and it basically stuck. 😆 It's also easier for me to provide such commentary on 30-minute videos, so I'm glad the video length has shortened for that reason, though I did watch the longer ones before you decided to shorten the video length. 👍 I'm looking forward to the next video in the series, and I hope you're looking forward to my comment on that one when it comes. 😃
that wiibow road comeback was awesome! gotta love shock dodges
