It's good to finally hear your voice. 👍
Regarding the Wave 4 meta change, I'm glad there was a shakeup (especially for the drivers because, as you pointed out, it adds more variety to the drivers we see), but I do wish that the W 25 Silver Arrow stat class (which includes the Wild Wiggler, which I have loved since before playing against any live competition because Wiggler 💛) had gotten a +1 to Ground Speed so it would still be viable (comparable to the Inkstriker stat class, being -1 on all alternate terrain Speed but making up for it in all the "secondary" stats).
At Bone-Dry Dunes, half the BEEP-ing lobby was not just Yoshi but white Yoshi specifically. 👀
The Blue Falcon really should have been given a unique stat arrangement with max Anti-Gravity Speed and Handling with the Mini Turbo being the same as most "meta" machines (and the Ground Speed being lowered to maintain balance). Hopefully the next Mario Kart game does a better job of making unique stat sets and creating balance so that all machines can be viable. And brings back the Wild Wiggler, or at least some Wiggler-themed machine, but that's just a selfish request on my part.
Nintendo made an error by adding Tokyo to Wave 1. The fourth route wasn't available in Tour at that time, and having access to that would have made Tokyo much better in this game. One of the U.S. city courses should have been a Wave 1 addition, since both of them ended up being horrible, with the Los Angeles course being inexcusably bad (I have over a thousand complaints, which is quadruple digits, with the L.A. course, and none of the other 95 courses, not even Baby Park, even reached double digits) because it was in Wave 5. If the Wave 2 version of New York is what we were getting from New York all along, why not just give that to us in Wave 1 and delay Tokyo until the fourth route was available?
So F-0 Hero hates the desert courses in this game. Noted.
This video certainly showed that the Dry Dry Desert hate is justified. I still think Kalimari Desert is fun, but that might just be the difference in skill between us. Maybe low-to-mid-level players (like me) get more enjoyment from Kalimari Desert.
I'm more of a Streetle advocate when it comes to the current meta. Primarily because I find myself needing the Sponge tires instead of a Roller variant when using either the Pipe Frame or Teddy Buggy stat classes. But again, that's just my skill level rearing its ugly head again.
I think the Air Speed and Anti-Gravity Speed stats are why the Teddy Buggy stat class is "meta", but if that's the case, I'm definitely with you in the belief that the Pipe Frame stat class should be the meta. Acceleration, Handling, and Grip/Traction (at least on 200cc for this stat) are going to matter on all courses while some courses don't even have Air Speed or Anti-Gravity Speed (and Competitive "favorite" Excitebike Arena has *neither* terrain, rendering both stats completely useless).
"This is my hometown." Good to know you live in futuristic New York. 😆👍
Love the Blue Falcon PSA at the end of Mute City. 👍
When London, Riverside, and WiiBow were the options, I'd have probably picked London because I know so many others are going to pick WiiBow and I'm happy with any of the three options.
I *HAVE* "worse" Miis than the one that drew your attention after you finished spectating the Ninja Hideaway race. For example, Oddball has become a legend of sorts for how I went full Pablo Picasso on the facial design and color scheme.
That squishality from the first Thwomp on the right side of the second lap at SNES Rainbow Road, tho... 👀
That post-race squishality from the first Thwomp on the left side, too. 🤣
Looking forward to hearing more commentary during these videos going forward. 👍
