You can theoretically slide the automatic, it’ll be way harder. And the automatic transmission won’t hold much power. My advice swap a 5 speed and get a stage 2 clutch, should be good for 250whp

You gonna break your diff bra!!! The rx7 diff is much stronger and can handle the hp with easeis cheap on eBay like 200 and much stronger but with the money you’ve thrown at this Miata I know you’ll do better lol

According to the folks at Flyin' Miata, the 7 inch ring gear on the 1994-2005 Miatas are good for a bit more power than the factory gearbox. The 5-speed gearbox is safe up to 250 whp, the 6-speed is a bit stronger. The 1984-88 RX-7 clutch-pack LSD can be a worthwhile upgrade with the factory 7 inch rear end if the owner wants to change the bias ratio of the LSD.
