Amazing
Great video.
Will John Rosengrant sculpt and figures for free chapter??
Does the alcohol technique work with monster clay?
Because monster clay is oil based, mineral spirits or turpentine will work
Is the clay safe to put back in the oven to soften/bake after using solvents like lighter fluid and turpentine to smooth the sculpture’s surface?
as long as the fluids have evaporated, yes. It won't really matter though, as chavant clay melts when you put it in the oven.
is this oil based clay?
Yes. it's Chavant Clay NSP Medium. - Balázs
What clay is this pls let me know
it's Chavant Clay NSP Medium. - Balázs
We have the finest worms
Класс Super!!!
burbosha Your are crazy kkkkkk. Nice.
What kind of clay is this ?
It's Chavant Clay NSP Medium. - Balázs
what type of clay is he using here?
Jeremiah McCarthy looks like chavant msp
Thanks man! Yeah, I'm using super sculpey original right now, but this seems more, i dunno.
Pretty cool 😍😍
Yes, it's Chavant Clay NSP Medium. - Balázs
What kind of clay it is?
Alex Molin probably wed clay
Probably not WED, if it were WED there would be no reason for the alcohol mix for smoothing. WED is water based so you just use water to smooth it.
He mentions the teeth will be Sculpey... he might be using a blend of Sculpey Extra Firm and Sculpey Medium, a lot of people like that mix. Or the teeth could just be Sculpey while the rest of Chavant or other oil clay.
The clay is most likely Roma Plastalina #4. it is certainly an oil based plastalina. Having worked in the industry professionally for many years, I found that Roma was the favored brand of most special effects shops.

Is the clay safe to put back in the oven to soften/bake after using solvents like lighter
fluid and turpentine to smooth the sculpture’s surface?
Hey there! Answer from our instructor Tim Martin: As long as it is aired out and completely dry, the clay will not catch fire if you put it back in the oven at a low heat to soften. However, I'm not sure why you would put clay in the oven after you've already used a solvent on it. Solvent should be the very last thing you use on the sculpture before it gets molded. - Balázs
Stan Winston School , if I used solvent in a sculpture, will the solvent affect the clay if I reuse that?
