While back in high school eating breakfast in the morning right before school made me feel bloated and I felt like I had no energy but in college since I make my own hours I don't have that problem.
If you have a history of restricting calories, this makes sense. Portion your meals throughout the day, beginning by not eating so late at night. Don't save your biggest meal until last. Also, if youre female and you wish to make this change, wait until the week after your period for easiest transition

It's that you need to do what feels right for you and for as many people as there are who say eating breakfast makes them feel sick, there are just as many who say they feel sick if they don't eat breakfast.
Exactly. The thing is that we are all individual and if you want to loose weight, you have to reduce overall calories over the whole day. In theory it doesn't matter when you consume these, but it matters because you might eat more if you don't do it in a way that works for you. So the goal should be to eat at times that make it most easy to you to eat less overall. And if we think about earlier ages, when we were animals, we couldn't choose a regular timetable for eating like we can do now. We had to eat when there is food. And sometimes not eat for days, and then eat much, much, much at one day when there suddenly was much food. That is how nature works out there. So there is not really that much to our rigid traditional eating timetable, that's a cultural thing.
For me to eat breakfast I have to get up very early wake up for a bit and then eat, because if I try to cram food down my throat as soon as I wake up, it’ll actually make me very nauseous.

So let me help. I had the same problem and even my cognitive went down when i ate breakfast. But now i found answers Tips 1. eat fruits as energy for brain. Best best source of glucose is fruits and best energy for brain is glucose. 2. So make a fruit smoothies. You can freeze fruits night before in bags and have them in morning. 3. For feeling satisfied but not heavy, have whole wheat toast with protein or oats with berries and honey. 4. Add protein on toast like egg or salmon to stay full longer and more satisfied. ADD ANY SPICES to make it taste amazing 5. Try no coffee. Get most glucose from fruits and honey I have a glass of (banana berries with cottage cheese and almond milk) smoothie which is about 200 calories. And with 2 whole wheat toast with having egg and tomato with mayo. I fry up smoked salmon to make crunchy with added spices. About 300. And i dont eat lunch but i snack on veges with hummus about 200 cal. Then have a coffee at evening. By the time its dinner i would have burned off alot of the calories and still have more calories left to eat so i feast at night. I eat ANYTHING i want since i was eating healthy all day. Be it burger or fries but only has to be at a range of 800 calories. And since im in deficit i dont gain and my brain is not only healthy but happy. Calories might seem low but i keep low because you dont know the added calories with sauces there are so i leave 300 calories free. I also workout before dinner so less chance of gaining the unhealthy food. I burn 400 to 500 calories at gym. Im a university student and this helped me most for being at uni studying with focus from morning till evening with small breaks and having delicious treat at night to look forward to without gaining weight. Hope this helps
@cloudcat incoming oh i did do that for 2 years now. i only ate dinner. But this past month...i had to wake up early which i dont and dont have much to that keeps me occupied so i feel hungry from boredom. Thats why i made a system so that i dont gain weight

That actually depends a lot on the region. Some places start very "late" for American standards while others start just as early. The general accord across the country is that anything between 6am and 12 pm is breakfast and lunch is anything from 1pm to 5 pm. Dinner can be anything between 7 pm and 12 am. It depends a lot on the region and personal routine, but the whole "meal schedule" definitely does not match the one in the US.
Not really. Mexicans usually eat breakfast around 6-8 AM. I think the only difference is that places don't usually sale breakfast type foods since most people either eat homecooked meals or grab something simple from a corner store (ex. milk and some sweet bread). From what I've noticed though, Mexicans usually make the largest meal of the day lunch (1-4 PM) while for Americans it's dinner (5-9 PM). Though this is only true for the region of Jalisco. I don't really know how the other regions treat breakfast.
Mister Messenger I never been to Jalisco I was in the capital of Mexico and then we went to Veracruz and both places had the same late breakfast. Oh and their sweet bread is soooooo good and delicious. The best time to eat in Mexico is at night. The food vendors make soooooo much food it’s hard to pick just one food vender. Oh and the Mexicano people are so friendly and generous.
honestly breakfast helps me feel energized throughout the day bc usually i’m hungry by 1st period ! also helps me from overeating later. also i eat rly early dinner soooo
I don't eat breakfast most days and just skipping one meal has done incredible things. I have more energy in the morning, I feel full quicker when eating other meals. I've had alot more luck losing and maintaining weight. I'm never hungry for breakfast anyways so I don't even miss it.
I wrote a paper on this sort of thing. It’s true, what the researcher is saying - there are several ways to go about it, eating breakfast or not is not going to massively affect your health, but it’s about when you have all your meals, and when you eat relative to when you sleep. People have different sleep patterns as well, so it’s important to try and regulate your eating pattern to your sleeping pattern. For example, I have a sleeping pattern of around 12am-9am, I often feel queasy having breakfast first thing and I prefer to workout anyway, so I’ll have breakfast at 11-12 or a big lunch at 12-1 ish. And have healthy snacks (as well as unhealthy, I’m not overly healthy) in the afternoon, and dinner around 6-7, then dessert /snacks till around 9, but I have to try and stop myself from having snacks too late, because my body is used to now eating later in the day. An eating window of around 8 hours, for example 12-8 would be a good idea, or maybe a bit longer, but again this eating window should be relative to when you SLEEP. Your body and your hormones are connected in these systems. Even if you don’t do intermittent fasting, eating meals at 8am, throughout the day and then again at 8-9pm is not great, since your body ideally would have about 4 hours to digest your last meal before going to bed, so just cut the window a little bit.
You're body doesn't adjust to intermittent fasting until after a few weeks anyways, so yes the first couple weeks are sure to be challenging. If you get through it though, you might be surprised just how much more focus, energy, better sleep, and elevated mood that you can garnish. I'm at the point where I only eat one meal a day for that last couple of years and it seriously has changed my life for the better. I don't think it's for everyone, but you won't know if you don't give it a good try.
I've recently started eating only fruit for breakfast, skipping lunch, and eating a hearty meal for dinner. Not that it matters to anyone, but it seems to help give my stomach something solid to digest overnight.
I stopped eating breakfast when I was thirteen. I was always super sluggish in the morning, and when I stopped eating breakfast, I felt less sluggish. I could haul myself up the stairs at school every morning.
Main benefits of intermittent and skipping bf and lunch: 1. Save time and effort by only needing to make one meal a day. 2. Save money by making a single cost effective meal per day.
Haha yea you forgot step 3 about losing 20 lbs and dying. I am 6 foot 2 inches tall, and I weigh 150 lbs. If I skip even one meal I will lose weight, which is something you don't want to happen when you are 6 foot 2 150 lbs 4 percent body fat. If anything I have to add more meals to my day
@@octaviobustillos6968 When I was a teenager I was always around 120 pounds (6 foot 2 inch height). None of us had cars and would walk everywhere, sometimes 5 miles a day. We ate breakfast every day but burned off the calories from so much walking.
Yeah, I usually find that if I eat in the morning, I'm more likely to be hungrier throughout the entire day than when I skip it. If I skip breakfast, sometimes I don't eat until 4 or 5, and just have the one meal, and small snacks before or afterwards. Not really the healthiest, but better than binging.
@@OgulcaNPasA i am not actally "fat" FYI. Even so, what a horrible comment. Why dont you go and sort your sad depressed life out? Instead of being an internet bully go and volunteer for a charity to do something for society (i assume you are long term unemployed on social security, just like you assumed i was *fat*) so, i work nightshifts, and eat breakfast when i get home. I eat a light meal , like soup before i start nightshift. But missing breakfast at the end of my nightshift is a no no.
Same! If I don't eat breakfast, I'll be dead and depressed or nasty. Plus, I don't really care what I eat as long as it's fueling and i'm not allergic to it.
Everybody eats breakfast. Breakfast doesn’t mean something you do in the mornings, it means breaking your fast. You can break your fast at midnight or anytime you choose.
Well "flag ceremony"....only Americans do that junk and Americans seem to need to eat constantly. In France you eat breakfast, school lunch (one snack only for little kids. Older kids don't snack at school), one snack after school, dinner. I skipped breakfast since I was like nine, unless I didn't have school. Meanwhile American kids are like--breakfast, two snacks at school, school lunch, mommy waiting with a snack in front of school, snack at after-school activities‚dinner, before bed snack. When you have that many meals, skipping one shouldn't make you faint. People during the war would have fainted constantly if that was normal.
@@mchobbit2951 it's kinda ignorant to assume that every American eats so many meals a day, though I'm from Germany, where we also eat at school/university, i still might faint when I skip breakfast because of low blood sugar and low blood pressure, especially when being more active, and I often have to eat breakfast on the go, I can only skip it when I'm at home where I move less, and still I can get dizzy then
I love breakfast, so I'd never even consider skipping it. I honestly do best eating 6-8 times a day, so "breakfast" is always just the first time I break my fast
I wake up at 5:45 and don’t eat anything until 3:05 every weekday, I don’t have time for breakfast, time to make lunch, and school lunch is gross/unhealthy. So, starvation it is.
From when I was a kid to my mid-20's I woke up HUNGRY every day. But then....it stopped. I just wasn't hungry until 11am and I wasn't trying to not eat. I genuinely didn't want to and I think the change marked my metabolism slowing down. I have a 10oz coffee around 8am and I feel satisfied/full for a few hours before anything else is appetizing. Remember that "technically" we all eat breakfast, we just break our all night fast at a different time of day. In my opinion, if you wake up hungry, eat a healthy breakfast so you know it's not just a habbit (eating based solely on the time/clock) or an unnecessary junk food binge. If you are genuinely hungry, eat.
This guy is obviously sponsored by breakfast #ad. On a more serious note i get ip at 10am on a usual weekend day and have lunch between 12pm and 1pm seems like a waste to eat then, during the day im literally too lazy to get up earlier so i rush to uni and have lunch there at 12pm
I don’t have specific time with waking up so after I wake up that’s when I eat. Sometimes I binge on videos till 4am then I sleep and wake up afternoon 🤷🏻♀️ and how about those people who work evenings and sleeps in the morning? Is breakfast only considered in mornings? Or breakfast is when the time you wake up?
I'm definitely noticing a difference in weight loss when I skip breakfast. I began my experiment on the weekend and found to be be easier than during the week. Being in an atmosphere I can't control can be very challenging. But I can still do it.
They are finding it is better to give your body a break, and skipping breakfast is a good way to do that. I only eat one large meal a day, with a simple smoothie lunch usually. You produce more dopamine when you have less food, because historically it helped us seek out food. From what I understand you should be hungry before you eat, so as long as we feel hungry when we eat we can skip the whole three meals a day thing. Our bodies are amazing and we'll adapt overtime to anything
I don't have a eating pattern, i eat when i get hungry, sometimes i don't even eat at all, all day long :P Next morning, I am hungry, so i eat a sandwich or something :P
Breakfast is the first thing you eat to break your fast so it doesn't matter what time you eat your "breakfast". If you eat your first meal after your last meal at 5pm, then that's your breakfast.
You know that feeling where you haven’t ate anything for a while or didn’t eat breakfast I don’t really eat breakfast I would but I can’t find anything good in the morning but back to the point when you don’t eat anything for a while then eat and get full fast it’s kinda weird but I don’t really get full fast only sometimes
I sometimes have skip breakfast but in general I like to wake up early and eat something (for example a fruit or some nuts, a warm te or cacao, an omelet... it depends on what I feel up to) I don't feel like I need to eat a lot in the morning but still I like to get something (in small portion) because otherwise I will feel very hungry at lunch time or even before. I guess the Best thing to do is to eat when you feel hungry no matter if it's when you wake up or later and always look for a healthy option :)
Don't worry you're not alone I am also in a constant need of food!😂 and tbh it is healthy for me, I mean I have a healthy weight and if I don't eat when I need to I get bloated, so yeah eating is good! 😂👍

Eating breakfast makes me tired and I have trouble to focus on things.
So let me help. I had the same problem and even my cognitive went down when i ate breakfast. But now i found answers
Tips
1. eat fruits as energy for brain.
ADD ANY SPICES to make it taste amazing
5. Try no coffee. Get most glucose from fruits and honey
I have a glass of (banana berries with cottage cheese and almond milk) smoothie which is about 200 calories.
@@lolalolita3537 or just go keto. Or fasting for 24h minimum. Your body is able to produce the minimal amounts of glucose it REALLY needs via glucogenesis. Get your essential amino acids and mcts. That's the way. Period.
And also: skipping meals in the way most people describe it only does shit to your body. Either fast the right way or heeeeeell don't do that. I went to Mexico with my brother and we were the only ones craving breakfast, the Mexican eat really late. They considered breakfast at noon. 😭😭😭
So true
That actually depends a lot on the region. Some places start very "late" for American standards while others start just as early.
The general accord across the country is that anything between 6am and 12 pm is breakfast and lunch is anything from 1pm to 5 pm. Dinner can be anything between 7 pm and 12 am.
It depends a lot on the region and personal routine, but the whole "meal schedule" definitely does not match the one in the US.
That's Pretty Bad

Title: I stopped eating breakfast for two weeks.
Everyone in the comments section: Pathetic
Lolzers
Clickbait title! Conclusion is way different than the title alludes.

*Well, I already stopped eating breakfast a long time ago, so...*
*_Yeah, let’s say this video didn’t change my life._*

This is posted on science insider but it has tech insider on the top right...
Main benefits of intermittent and skipping bf and lunch:
1. Save time and effort by only needing to make one meal a day.
2. Save money by making a single cost effective meal per day.
And fasting is also good for your health.
yeah and you starve yourself with 1 meal a day gg
Haha yea you forgot step 3 about losing 20 lbs and dying. I am 6 foot 2 inches tall, and I weigh 150 lbs. If I skip even one meal I will lose weight, which is something you don't want to happen when you are 6 foot 2 150 lbs 4 percent body fat. If anything I have to add more meals to my day
And dollar of money expenditure for treatment 😜😛😛

Yeah, I usually find that if I eat in the morning, I'm more likely to be hungrier throughout the entire day than when I skip it. If I skip breakfast, sometimes I don't eat until 4 or 5, and just have the one meal, and small snacks before or afterwards. Not really the healthiest, but better than binging.

Are you seriously that dependant on breakfast? Wtf?
Sad Times Huh? What’s wrong with that?
Moonlight you think it’s ok to faint because of 1 skipped meal? That’s literally against your biology
I honestly do best eating 6-8 times a day, so "breakfast" is always just the first time I break my fast

haley w Just make your breakfast and pack a lunch at night before bed. Don’t be lazy. A PB&J and some fruit isn’t hard to make...
I did that in highschool. But to be fair some days I had a protein bar in my bag that I would have if I got hungry.
