The stage was originally going to be a lot more peaceful. I honestly absolutely love this song. Another one of my favorites, but it didn't end up working out.
If Nalao Lake had a hub World stage, this likely would've been the theme, a calm after the storm

Interesting, this seems to be the same melody as the final game, but it sounds calm and peaceful rather than foreboding and hectic
Of course one of my most favorite tracks from this incredible soundtrack (And game!) would be the one that sounds the most like a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon composition, like one of that amazing series' many dungeons where you'd be searching for an important thing/person to discover/rescue, resulting in some strong moods in tandem with the lush environments they often focused on. Leila and the other composers are quickly becoming inspirational to me in the music department, that's for sure!

Sounds like a cutscene or a map-like area. Way too calm for a level theme.
