This one is such a bop, the Brevon theme leitmotif is also kinda haunting, especially on first playthrough.
Oh yeah…
Now I hear it too at the beginning of the track. At first I thought that this track was made out of Battle Glacier, which it actually is, but now I indeed hear parts of Brevon’s theme at the beginning of the track.
Hearing this as you play onto a graveyard of destroyed machines, robots and military equipment from Brevon’s army in the first game, makes you truly feel the the scars and the mark he has left of Avalice and most importantly, Lilac and her friends.
I had to go back and listen to his theme just to hear it. Yeah, it's pretty spooky. But fitting, considering what we find
@@oznelnavnaekal6679 Yep, this stage is basicaly what's left after Battle Glacier from Freedom Planet 1. You really see the scale of the invasion with those massive piles of junk scattered all across the level. Also, most of the elite troops from Brevon's army (those guys in suits with blasters from the 1st game) are feeble, broken, and only a few have a functioning weapon. I like when games can tell you the story just from the game mechanics.
@Arko
True. Also, I think that the Shade Armory was a part of the dreadnought. If you remember the end of the first game after you defeated Brevon, you see that the dreadnought falls into 4 pieces, where 3 of them fall off and the most upper one explodes (along with the Kingdom Stone). Maybe one of those 3 parts must have fallen through the atmosphere of Avalice and landed in the snowy mountainous landscape of Shuigang, where the events of Battle Glacier took place.
@@oznelnavnaekal6679 Shade Armory _does_ have those elevator platforms that were in Final Dreadnought 1.
Battle Glacier looking more like Robot Genocide Glacier rn
when i first hit this level, i was like "is this Battle Glacier?" also only just now am i noticing the Brevon Leimotifs.
I am mildly upset that the remnant forces were not called "The Brevenants".
😹dang, that was a missed opportunity wasn't it
Ah yes the remnants of battle Glacier also with Zombified Brevon Elite Troops.
More Broken troops
You don't fall from space in one piece after all
I love how in this game you can still feel the damage Brevon caused. Not just from this level blatantly showing it to you but also the subtle trauma reactions of some of the characters to some of the things that remind them of him. The thought of him still being out there somewhere is scarier than Merga in some ways.
The Lalo Salamanca moment
The way Lilac says "what? Brevon's back??" when she hears news of his robots being present really solidifies that they have some trauma related to the situation
@@gamerprince-tl5hg Carol also responds with a gasp which seemed like she was genuinely shocked by it, even though she tries to play tough afterwards. Lilac also has a joke with the barber in the battlesphere where she gets asked if she wants her ponytails cut off and she screams in response. Maybe it's just a joke that you can't cut them off but imo the volume of the response, coupled with how she reacts to Brevon's robots and the fact that they were cut off by him in FP1's torture scene, makes me think this is meant to be more than just a little joke.
@@levobertus Oh there are definitely some bad memories from losing that part of herself
@Levobertus
I don’t think that they were cut, but literally pulled out by Brevon, since they still had some blood on the parts where the roots were.
The Brevon motif hidden throughout the theme is so good.
0:19 this part… sounds like final dreadnought stage 4 and brevon’s final battle theme isn’t it?
Is a leitmotiv
It’s Brevon’s leitmotif.
Shout-out to the composer/s of this OST, and to the devs that they just uploaded it here.
The successor to Battle Glacier.
_More Complications..._
And to think that us console players will have to wait for about nine more months for this...
Oh well. We've waited years for this game. We can wait a few months more.
Besides going in circles for a few minutes the first time I played through this, this was a great level! It was fun to skate around as Neera
Ah yes
I can latly hear brevon theme hovering there like fantasy
I love that this sing tries to sound happy even after the brevon motif, but it just cant
I loved Lilac's reaction to seeing the Brevon Robots appearing.
*He left the planet didn't he?*
She seemed scared at the thought of Brevon returning. It had a been a couple of years since the events of the first game but there is definitely trauma after the things he did.
The whole area feels so unsettling and I love that kind of detail
Battle Glacier 2.0 kinda lol
oh great now i dont need to open the game for the jukebox when im doing other stuff
The jukebox fox deserved a break!
Weird that this is 5 minutes long while the endgame tracks cap at 3, and most are 2.
Even when Brevon was defeated, he is not exactly dead but instead, hiding somewhere plotting his next evil scheme.
This music pretty much summarised the elements of Brevon's remnant, the remnant is still rummaging the planet and some people are still traumatised by past events
This song makes us happy and relaxes the soul ñ_ñ☆ (Esta cancion nos alegra y relaja el alma ñ_ñ☆)
Not if you know this is the motif of the first game's Galactic Tyrant
I also download this one and make it extended
The Battle Glacier has seen better days, hasn't it?
He still isn't here, is he?😨
Yes!!! When is this game coming out? Will it be coming to Linux too? Please let this game come to Linux!
Already out!!
It released on Tuesday
@@dashi-musashi351 it was in development hell for the longest
@@AsuraxAmi But a well deserved wait!
how clueless can you possibly to be subscribed but not know the game is out lmao
"He left the planet, didn't he?!" 😨
Love how you can hear brevon
