    Thank you so much. I just attended my first two Latin Masses after finishing RCIA at my NO perish, Low Mass yesterday and a High Mass today that was beautiful. I don't have weekday Latin mass nearby but I'll be attending Latin Mass every Sunday and most Saturdays from now on and I know this video is going to be a huge help. I can't thank you enough.

    In light of the recent Motu Proprio by our Holy Father, I will continue to pray for our church and our leaders. I can only hope and pray that in the near future the Tridentine Rite will find its way back to ALL the Altars of the Holy Roman Catholic church.
    This time gives us the opportunity to be more faithful to Our Lord. To have a deeper meaning on what it is to be a true Catholic.

The following is how I set my ribbons, in the end it will be what works best for you. 1st ribbon is for Prayers starting on page 21. 2nd is for the Propers from Advent page 135 to the end of Pentecost page 817. 3rd is for the Ordinary of the Mass page 838. 4th is Common of the Saints page 931. 5th for the Proper of the Saints page 1041. And keep a couple of holy cards handy for those pages you may need to get quick access. As you continue to use the missal you will find the places that work best for you.

      What is low Sunday? Every Sunday at my parish is doing high masses and low in the morning

    • @PaulFloresPhotography
      @PaulFloresPhotography  2 месяца назад

      Low Mass is when the priest reads or speaks the entire liturgy, with the assistance of one or more altar servers. only the altar boys respond to the priest. The congregation and choir may sing hymns.
      Sung or High Mass includes the Asperges before Mass, in which the priest sprinkles the congregation with Holy Water as part of the opening liturgical ceremony. Sung Mass is so called because many of the prayers of the Mass are sung by the priest, choir, or schola. Sung Mass also usually employs the use of incense. At Sung Mass, the faithful chant the Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus and Agnus Dei with the Schola (choir). The congregation also responds to the Priest in chant during multiple points during the Mass.
      Solemn Mass (also known as a Solemn High Mass), a type of Sung mass, is the full ceremonial form of the Tridentine Mass, celebrated by a priest with a deacon and a subdeacon, requiring most of the parts of the Mass to be sung, and the use of incense. The parts assigned to the deacon and subdeacon are often done by priests in vestments proper to those roles.

I have picked up all the main prayers and acclamations: Ave Maria, Pater Noster, Gloria, Credo, Agnus Dei. I'm struggling through, but doing, Latin Divine Office. If I buy an old missal, 1957 or 1962, etc., from the ones I'm seeing on Ebay, would the dates be the same for the current Masses - or are the current Masses following the Post Vatican II Feast Days and readings?

      Most of the Tridentine Mass communities will follow the 1962 calendar and some the 1954. No Tridentine Mass will follow the post Vatican II calendar.

    On the liturgical calendar that I have for the TLM, it shows Ferial day (Mass of preceding Sunday) what page should I have my Missal set to for Mass?

    • @PaulFloresPhotography

      It would depend on the Sunday that just passed. For instance, the Propers for the Ferial Mass on February 21, 2022 would be taken from Sexagesima on page 269 of the Roman Catholic Daily Missal from Angelus Press.

      @@SuccessmarketingWEB Hello, the Collect is a prayer said by the Priest after the Gloria. It is a collected prayer of all the faithful assisting at the Holy Sacrifice: Raising his voice, his hands, and his sentiments to God, the Priest excites the faithful to unite their prayers to his.

      @supreme87878 5 лет назад +3

      The Collect is a prayer that takes its name from the latin 'colligere', meaning 'to gather up', and its purpose is just that: it collects the intentions of the feast being celebrated and presents them before our Heavenly Father.
      Ordinary parts are always the same, while the Propers change to reflect the feast being celebrated.
