I was deeply unhappy with everything around me: job, boyfriend, friends and used money to buy crap. I found minimalism, got rid of crap, boyfriend, job, friends and found myself in the process 👌😎
Minimalism = getting rid of bf hhhhh high five to you that you know what js good or not good for you and that you are brave enough to do it. My admiration!
I've learnt that I'm in charge of how I react to situations. If something negative happens I can either dwell on it and fall into a depression or reframe the situation, learn from it and move on. Also to not be so hard on myself when I fail. It's always an ongoing process
I must say this is one of your best videos, and this is coming from someone who's watched lots of them. Not only the production and editing, which are impeccable, but the topic was beautifully developed. Congratulations girl! Take a moment and feel proud of yourself.
A simple but effective life-lesson my mom forever would tell us - “You will always have LESS than someone, as much as you will always have MORE than someone in this world...” In my 40’s and I still find happiness in that and reiterate her message whenever needed to my own two daughters. Great vid btw! ;) Congrats & stay happy! ☮️ {Edit!!~ btw new subscriber! 😉}
the important lesson I realized recently and still learning is that, the people's social life is changing, everyone is becoming more individual and lonely which can be hard, but just like in the nature in order to survive the changes\evolution I have to adapt and be strong.
I happen to watch this video of yours after feeling low and a bit mad at myself for not making time to organize my room/myself.. I started watching your video and liked within a minute or two, but I must say a lot of things that you said or showed resonated with me so much that I had moments of wanting to re-like and re-re-like it ❤️ Love it so much! Very uplifting ❤️🙏
Lots of hard earned wisdom here, thank you ❤️. I’m saving this to watch again when I need some inspiration. I love this: “the hardest lift is the one off your couch” 🤣
What’s a lesson that changed your life? Also! I’d love to know what you’re reading/listening to right now 📚- I’ll make a list! EDIT: it was Biggie! Not Jay Z. Thank you for correcting me! 😭😳😅
You can only care about someone who doesn't care about you for so long before you have to let that person go and move on. I've sadly experienced this over and over again in my life...
Hi🙂 my most favourite lesson from the last three months: I can do this! Split up with my partner at new years, being a working single mum since then, now hanging in covid quatantine with my daughter (Kindergarden is closed for 14 days). What ever may come - i can do this. Last read: brené brown - a book about shame, i dont know the english title ive read it in german 😉
Ive been on this journey of minimalism and its been tough but so rewarding. . Especially with a newborn. I promised myself I would only buy her the absolute minimum and so far I am doing really good. This journey has changed my life on what is important and what needs my energy. I think with age came a lot of wisdom. That the less I have the happier I am. 🥰
Love these lessons that I know I am still learning. Fear of failure, being judged & rejection, have stopped me from doing so much in my life. Now, at 57 - nearly 58 - I am in the process of becoming unstuck. It is scary but what have I got to lose? Failure? ✅ Done that. Limiting beliefs? ✅ Got those. Inner self critic? ✅ Oh, she’s still there! Before I forget, where did you get your super duper office chair? I am looking for a chair with good lower back support & yours looks great 🦋
The fact that you've documented so much of your journey here on RUclips makes for a great example for others to follow and be inspired by, Christina. I hope you feel proud of yourself, because I know I am even though I'm not a long-time subscriber. This is the kind of content that makes me come back to your channel every time :)
A way that I really helped my life is taking my vitamins everyday, not just my medication. It helps me feel better and more awake. Before I would become tired 2 hours after waking up and had no energy. Another way is bringing smoothies into my life, which I love to share with my daughter.
OMG, I loved this video so much. You are totally relatable and I loved when you said you were waiting on someone to come in and make it all better. This is just what I needed to hear. Just subscribed. :)
I found this video by chance or not as it was just what I needed to hear today . I made some big changes in my life recently. I have stop drinking alcohol not that I had a issue. with it , just decided as a health benefit. I have reassessed friendships which were mainly one sided with me doing more for others . I felt no one had many interests at heart . Be your own hero that resonates with me . Thank you 🙏 I will most certainly follow you videos and subscribe. 👍
Loved this video. Also, the lessons, script, overall production is fantastic. Can already tell I'm going to need to watch this several times this year hahaha
Wow! I must say this is one of the best videos Ever!!! It reminds me of some the videos of Matt D'Avela. The content was on point, the editing etc... Nicely done!
I love all the lessons you pointed out. I especially appreciate the one about doing exercise bc there is so much noise around me criticizing me for it. They think it s a distraction. Thanks a lot!
I love this video so much. Finding your channel has been helping me so much over the last few months and really encourages thoughtful examination of my habits and life. I really love your content and you inspire me. Thank you
Wow, your video started playing randomly after another while I was cooking. It spoke to my heart. The most difficult times right now I feel in my life, I need to own them and do something that is in my control. Thank you. I felt like there was a friend just talking to me while I cooked and I appreciated every word!
Hi I have been watching your channel for just over a year now and what a change I can see in you 😊 when I watched some of your videos I could see myself with the stress of over spending and not getting the enjoyment but beating yourself up after the purchase, I call it Buy - Stress - Return - Repeat 😣 so I just stopped but I must admit lockdown did help and I decided not to buy online So 7 months in on a No Buy and you have helped so I would like to say Thank You 🙏
Im here again coz Im in the process of healing. I want to change the way I live, not affected by other judgment or opinion about me. I want to live my life as happy as I want to and not be hard on myself. :D
❤❤❤❤❤. I have finally got to a point where as much as I love clothes and fashion. I do it for me. It now actually makes me feel uncomfortable when someone complements me on my clothes. But I have a long way to go. I need to start an actual budget. This past year has been tough have 2 lock-downs where I couldn't work and a 3rd one looming (fellow Ontarian)
Great tips! Planning some down time after I get ready in the morning and before I start work has been a great way to start every day and motivates me to get up earlier. I listen to Audible while getting ready so that’s fun to motivate me to get going too. I’m even thinking about about a shower speaker so I can start listening sooner.
This is such a positive video! And it comes just at the right time, I guess not just for me but for many people. And the editing is truly amazing! Not too overdone but *aesthetically pleasing* at its best! I'm a new follower and so glad I found your channel!
Of course I would come to your channel in the hopes of finding motivation for my own minimalism/debt repayment/slower consumption journey and....see some home decor I'd want to buy. Christina, at the 2:33 mark, where are your pillows from? I especially like the cream one with the abstract print. Also, the plant at 3:26. Thanks in advance! I'm actually on a combined minimalism and home decor journey, you could say. Stuff has overtaken my life and apartment. I've never really focused on DECOR and I would like to do that and think I can do it without going overboard. Love the couch and video as well. Thanks! :)
Oopmh I totally relate to that feeling 😭 - the plant is a fake fiddle leaf from IKEA and the pillows are all west elm. In advance I don’t recommend the yellow pillows - they’ve gotten pretty smushy over time but the patterned one so far is holding up.
This is a great video - meaningful content, very clear, beautiful editing and very... friend-ly, in a sense of, I feel like you're a friend to me. Thank you for all of it!
I truly enjoy watching your videos. A few sense of humor in the video helps to amuse me or laugh. Overall of the video is positive and gives good insight of the minimalist lifestyle. Whatever works for you and only you know what’s best for you, nobody else. I am interested in how you set your camera and do your blogs. I like how you motivate people and keep tossing out stuff that have no values to you. I am glad that you are not a type of girl driving a Beverly Hill truck 🛻 loaded with craps. 😂 Great video by the way.
