@Arnold Crentist I doubt it was as busy befire 2004 - which is when facebook began to explode. Once social media arrived, there are millions more photographers looking for a shot.
Oh and also, most of the time we wish people weren't in our shot but that canoe did add something a bit extra to this shot and it was dead center! Lucky. If only the canoe wasn't so far away but that's me nit-picking lol. Beautifully done Gavin! Nice change from how we always see Moraine Lake
That is an epic shot at the end Gavin! If you didn't know better and just watched this you think you were a clown only, but man, you can create magic too! Thanks Man!!!!! I love that you brought it all home by showing how balance in a photo is so important.
Nothing like a rippled reflection. That is a great view of Moraine, I have really fond memories of climbing the snowy Mt Fay at the back of the Tower of Babel.
Gavin, Amanda and The Bald Guy, you guys look like you’re having so much fun at my expense (I’m jealous). Another great show in the bag. Love you guys.
Gavin I’m currently deployed to the Middle East and literally all I see is sand and brown. I’m addicted to your videos and I’m SO JEALOUS that you’re in such a beautiful place. I’m enjoying all the colors and green from your adventures! Cheers
The color of the water is just insane ! And what about the view of theses mountains ??? But I think all the videos and photos in the world can't give a good sense of scale ! The face of people when they see Cleatus "walking" on the leash with you, priceless !
Yeah, a new entertaining video, watched all others twice or so 😄. At 18:19, that adapted full frame tilt shift lens works surprisingly good on that medium format GFX50S
I love it when the three of you get together, great craic. I'm surprised Brent didn't rock the boat while yous were out on that blue water, I wouldn't put it past him lol I think you should let him adopt Cletus, Brent sounds lonely, that's why he keeps bringing it up. Everywhere you went looks too good to be real like a backdrop, it's stunning and gorgeous shots of it all. You are all looking great, thank you for another great video.
This is one of my dream destinations. Wish I didn't live so far away from it. That view from the top of the mountain with the "postcard" light was absolutely amazing. I love the contrast with the mountains, tress, and the clear sky.
That final image gave me goosebumps. Absolutely astonishing. And I understand the need to speak in whispers, as a place like that must fill one with humility and awe. Your RUclips channel is a joy, and opens my eyes to beauty that I don’t have the ability to seek for myself. Thank you.
The blue hour image is spectacular. I was very happy to turn on the TV and see a new video. I will now kick back and have a coffee, actually my third one
One of the best videos I've seen of yours. We visited from Australia 3 years ago, and it brought back lots of memories of our early morning sunrise visit.. along with the hundreds of other photographers vying for position on the rock pile lol. Gorgeous views, great comedy, thank you!
Damn Gavin. This trip has been so worth it for just the photos alone. I'd give you a thumbs up if it were just a slide show of your stills but the videos are icing on the cake. The Banff tourism people ought to give you a call.
The reason the wind always tends to pick up after sunrise is because the sun warms the surface of the earth, which in turn warms the atmosphere above it. This air then rises and is simply replaced by cooler air, this mixing of the different air temperatures is what makes the breeze. It's kind of the opposite at sunset but with a few slight differences.
Thanks for emphasizing balance! It’s such a challenge. This is also a great example of the role leading lines play within a composition! A plus in my book.
The ever so subtle earth tremors as you got in the boat were a great touch. Red Leicester, best cheese ever, even if the rest of the world can’t pronounce it. Great photo that last one.
I can't wait till I get to go there. After a few of the great shots I got at Grand Teton when we went on vacation week before last, I'm want to go there so much.
Fab video. Haha, better than anything on British tv. I love the serious photo bits and the fab pics.... but really enjoy the Amanda and Cletus bits...haha...shame on Brentbtrying to pinch him. 😂😂😂👍
Bar none, the Western High Mountains of Canada are my favourite places on earth. I feel privileged to have visited them as often as I have. Great shots Gavin.
That last shot - ufdah! That canoe really made it. By they way, my probation officer says tickling the bell is what go me in trouble in the first place - no more for me! :)
The best time to take photos of Moraine Lake are in late July after 6 p.m. In fine weather, the color is as good as it gets and the lighting of the mountains that backdrop it is perfect.
@@fototripper Most are respectful enough to stay out of the field of view for a shot. At five seconds a click, that's about 2 hours and forty minutes if you start at the back of the line. However, I've found visitors quickly exit due to the lack of benches, and so its never been an issue.
Amazing brother. Here in Utah unless it's at a national park there's no people problem when out shooting. Which is an absolute dream. Beautiful image's.
I literally laughed out loud at the Fake Fur PSA. You do realize Amanda could club a baby seal to death with a baseball bat and the Creepsters would be like "Gor Amanda's an amazin' womman, yer a lucky man ... " 😆
just say cheese! fantastic location and worth going back down to the lake treat photo. When I lived in London some guy asked for directions on the tube to Action Town 🤷♂️ I never found it but still got plenty. . 🤣🤣
Gavin, really like your channel. Learning a bit here and there, getting inspired - seeing the landscape in a different way, and more importantly having a laugh. The banter on photo trips, worth the cost of the trip alone - maybe 😁
Wow, what a totally beautiful location to photograph, thanks for your great videos, they are very inspirational and informative, always look forward to a new video from you!!!
There are a lot of informative videographers on RUclips in the subject of landscape photography. You guys by far have the best production quality of them all. I just found your stuff and am delighted with it!! And it's easy to tell you guys love what you do. I look forward to watching what I haven't yet and what will come in the future.
This is the greatest video ever made about this location.
@Arnold Crentist I doubt it was as busy befire 2004 - which is when facebook began to explode. Once social media arrived, there are millions more photographers looking for a shot.
Wer solche Landschaften und solch eine Frau hat, ist gesegnet auf Erden. Bleibt schön gesund.
I didn't know you spoke spanish!! "Reflección/reflexión"
Bloody epic! You just bested The Bucket Shot: Peter McKinnon’s Journey to Shooting His Dream Photo. Well done!
Another great video Gavin! I love the longer videos
what I want to know is what's Gavin's trick is to get people to go along with his skits. Too funny! amazing pics as always.
1300 likes and not a single dislike. That is great feedback that I have never seen before on any RUclips video. Great final shot as well.
That just means the trolls haven't got up yet Stephen ;)
We're up to one now. Someone in Dubai must have just finished their coffee.

Did I mention you got skilz? I am going to watch this again now...

Hey adam we miss u photographing with Gavin
@@prasanttripura3623 he's making a comeback!
Amanda's red coat is just perfect against the dark mottled grey of the granites.
I love the postcard light. Wish you pros would do more of it.
For anyone that is into photography and goin through some hard times, you're a tonic man..
Gavin, Amanda and The Bald Guy, you guys look like you’re having so much fun at my expense (I’m jealous). Another great show in the bag. Love you guys.
Thanks for a wonderful, informative, funny and magnificently beautiful location video. Your footage and stills are gorgeous.

Sand and brown can be good for a while but I'd miss my green too.
Agree with J M. Thanks Peter for your service!

Wow!! Stunning scenery and photography!! That last shot was KILLER!!
That closing shot would be a career highlight for most photographers - superb work!
Wish I can casually go over there but it's halfway across the globe and all we have over here are buildings.
Great photo at the end!
Just wonderful tutorial. Love the colour of those water.

Absolutely stunning final shot! Great video Gavin, and defo on the panno special 😀
Excellent video, stunning location, great tips and entertaining as always. Well done.

JUST WOW. Beautiful
As someone that lives in Luton, UK (Voted worst City in the UK) , this place looks like heaven. Stunning, I hope one day I can visit there.
im going to be heading there in a week, cant wait!

Really love the final composition you got. Well done!
So beautiful I had to watch on my TV - great composition at the end
I was there on the August long weekend. Just a short 5 hour drive from my house :)
That is a unique Moraine photo, freaken beautiful man! Love it!
What a wonderful place.

I can’t wait to get your book!
Watching now
My favourite place in the world and right in my backyard! Great video!
That last shot, Gavin. WOW! Yes, on the pano tutorial, please.
Awesome video Gavin. Don't forget Gloucester and Worchestershire are winners here too :-).
I predict a skit involving Worchestershire sauce ;)
fototripper , and please don’t forget to teach Brent the correct pronunciation 😄😄😄 That would be very funny to watch 😄😄😄
That final shot is gold
Thanks Gavin! Absolutely wonderful… very inspiring 🔥🔥🔥
Good lesson Gavin, luv that last shot Moraine Lake! Thx for sharing
You’re absolutely my spirit animal whilst I endure lockdown here in Melbourne Australia. Magnifeekwa!
Got to love it when things sync up for photography. That canoe lining up perfectly, wow! Great shot Gavin.
Great photos especially the final one.👍🙂
Spectacular stuff, that last shot, a different take. Lovely.
Damn Gavin. This trip has been so worth it for just the photos alone. I'd give you a thumbs up if it were just a slide show of your stills but the videos are icing on the cake. The Banff tourism people ought to give you a call.
They really should MarryAnne.
that last image... stunning :)
and your good parents to Cleatus, he's a good doggie x
Gavin, great pano, I really like it, nice touch with Amanda wearing a red jacket too.
What a belter that last shot is.
Epic view from the secret spot and stunning images, I can’t believe Brent is after you dog 🤣🤣🤣😂
That was a spectacular view point. Wow. It really does go to show that putting in the extra effort for that one shot it soooo worth it

That last shot is an absolute stunner.
it is a spectacular location; when the crowds diminish in the late evening especially so. Good blog :)

This guy is good. Very good . He is so funny too. He knows his photography.
So why does he have such a low hit count ?
This guy should have over a million subscribers! He’s fantastic!
just say cheese! fantastic location and worth going back down to the lake treat photo.
When I lived in London some guy asked for directions on the tube to Action Town 🤷♂️ I never found it but still got plenty. . 🤣🤣
Genuinely loved the two photos; really good work. Thanks for sharing!
Terrific video. I love a video demonstrating tilt shift lenses. Thanks fototripper, I laughed and I learned!
You're incapable of making boring videos. Just loved it! And yep, that last image is a whopper. Cue the photogasm. :-)
Amazing last shot, congratulations!
Your pictures are phenomonal from this location.... The comedy is entertaining!!
Gavin, really like your channel. Learning a bit here and there, getting inspired - seeing the landscape in a different way, and more importantly having a laugh. The banter on photo trips, worth the cost of the trip alone - maybe 😁
I'm not into landscape photography, but the storytelling hooked me, great stuff.
I've seen lots of shots of that lake but that last shot you made is epic love your work gavin 😎
