#3 0:50 OH PLEASE! The red car was slowing down due to traffic either stopped or slowing ahead. Their actions prevented a chain collision. The white SUV was speeding and not paying full time and attention. In situations like this when traffic is has to slow down quickly, I hit my flashers to "wake people up" as I brake. Agreed on all points, the latter especially at night. I’ve been at the back of stopped traffic (due to a fatal accident ahead), witnessed a secondary injury crash (due to a drunk driver) and had several close calls with tertiary crashes from people not paying attention. 2:55 Everett, WA, Highway 99 south of Airport Rd. People drive on that shoulder all the time, as they want to turn right on Airport Rd. and the traffic at the light is well backed up, sometimes even a quarter mile. Airport Rd. comes from the Boeing factory and the Paine Field commercial airport. There are signs saying not to drive on the shoulder, but they are routinely ignored. No matter where you are, that left turn across traffic with one lane stopped to let you in is almost always a bad idea.
6:33 I’m the last person to say that an indicator gives someone the right of way, and I still stand by that here. The Buick had no right to enter your lane when you were occupying it. With that said, they did have their indicator on which made it pretty clear what they MIGHT end up doing. A little foresight would tell you “Oh, maybe I should let them in just in case they risk me and my 2-year old anyways.”
Saw the same video on another channel, with audio. Cammer sped up as soon as the signal came on. Agree, signal does not convey right of way, but the slightest bit of defensive driving on the part of the cammer would have gone a long way.
Defensive driving is such a great skill because you could be right, and totally have right of way, or you could stay safe and alive. As they say, the graveyard is full of people who had the right of way.
#15 4:48. I came close to being like the dark colored sedan in the right lane. Am I reading this video right? You are approaching a slower car. You plan a passing move. You check your side mirrors. No one is in the left lane at that time. All cars seemed to be well back. But what you didn't notice was that one speeding vehicle from behind closing fast. When you last looked a couple seconds ago that left lane was clear. Now it's occupied. Fortuity for me I checked again and moved away quickly. I'm sure many of you have looked before you made a driving move/change and it looked clear. Then it seems out of no where, it all changes.
Its crazy the amount of people stopped at an intersection with clear line of sight of both directions of travel will wait until there is a vehicle nearby before pulling out.the red Buick was stopped for a good time before deciding to go just as cross traffic got green.
#7 (2:00) That oblivious driver hitting you is a bummer, but on the bright side, you probably saved the pedestrian who was crossing on the left from getting run over.
6:34 #20. Cammer ran themselves off the road. That blinker was on long enough to know they needed to come over and cammer decided to close the gap. While legally the other car would have been at fault, cammer is just a dick and made the situation unsafe for themselves.
2:25 Unless further down the road outside of this clip you got beside them or ahead of them, then I could understand them not looking at you. If you stayed behind them then it's understandable. Did you want the to be like the exorcist and their head to spin around facing backwards?
If the FedEx driver at @3:00 had not stopped to be kind and had continued driving as they should, then there wouldn't have been a blind spot for the turning vehicle. And they stopped for just them and another car. If they hadn't stopped, there wouldn't have been much traffic for the red car to wait for anyway. Such a complete mess, stop stopping to be nice - stop because you need to stop.
I hate this mentality "stop being nice" or "stop being polite". That's what's wrong with our society already. How about the person shouldn't be passing on the shoulder. The cammer just said they didn't want to wait for the turning lane coming up at the light. Everyone is always in a rush to get there a few seconds faster🙄 when they could've waited. Both lanes of traffic were stopped for the individual to turn. Red car should've proceeded with more caution but SUV was wrong for passing on the shoulder.
@shawneeandcrew it was a turn lane, not the shoulder, so they could have been aiming to turn a little further down the lane. And cammer says their opinion, not facts. And I was saying had the FedEx truck not been being nice needlessly - they could have pulled forwards and been out of the way and there would have been clearance for the red car to turn. All they did was create a blindspot which likely contributed to the accident more than anything else.
@@MrBattlecharge so since the cammer was directly at the scene I'm going to take their word that it was still the shoulder and not the turning lane. You are watching a clip like I am and you're saying that they are stating their opinion and not facts? Were you there as well to know this as fact? I stand by what I said earlier.
@@shawneeandcrew ... you can see the turn lane. Yes, I trust my eyes over what the cammer says. You can see the broken white lines indicating a third lane.

#3 - The red car didn't "stop early," they were slowing down because traffic in front of them was stopping. They just chose to do it correctly and not slam on their brakes at the last second. If you think they had any responsibility for that or did anything wrong, you're an idiot. #20 - Cammer sees that a person ahead of them is signaling to change lanes, but decides that it's better to not just ease off the gas and give them a little space to change lanes. A signal doesn't give immediate right of way, however it does tell you what the intent is, and the expectation of other drivers according to the law in any state is that you allow that person to make a safe lane change if they are able to do so, as opposed to preventing one. By allowing people to make safe lane changes, we keep traffic flowing smoothly. By preventing them, a whole lane has to stop.
