@8:25 cammer is suggesting we get rid of most of the noise insulation in the cars (which have big engines and exhausts making a loud racket while driving through the wind at incredibly fast speeds) or that we make sirens louder, which would greatly annoy any person not inside a vehicle. I think the main thing to do is use your eyes and ears. Dont listen to your music so loud, you will go deaf and won't be able to hear anything. Also, if you are at an interaection waiting for the lights, use that time to survey your surroundings. You should be solely focused on driving, so looking down the streets to see what traffic is doing is easy to do.
When I moved to Minnesota, I had never seen the flashing white light at the intersections before. Light was red. Flashing white light comes on. ????? Nobody is moving thru the intersection. Then an ambulance can be heard, then enters intersection. White light stops flashing. Light turns green. Seriously didn't understand what was going on till it was all over!! Why aren't these at every intersection in the US?? Well, not EVERY intersection, but you know what I mean.
Not all engines are loud, in fact, most modern engines have gotten quieter. I agree that there is too much noise cancelation material used in vehicles. It's often difficult to hear where an emergency vehicle is coming from because it's too muffled, so it is more difficult to react. I have witnessed this myself more than once, and it's rather unnerving.
@cynthiaandvern it would still be on both drivers if an accident occurred between the cop and turning vehicle. All emergency vehicles have to operate with "due regard" when driving lights and sirens, which involves slowing and stopping, if necessary, to clear intersections. Granted, it wouldn't be a 50/50 split by any means, but it would not be entirely the car's fault

#1 ALWAYS be vigilant. Car headlights light up the road not the people crossing. I hit a pedestrian and it wasn't my fault as they jaywalked. It was dark, rainy, foggy, the kind of conditions that absorb your headlight beams. Worse, person didn't use crosswalk 50' away that had a light over it and a crossing signal AND they were wearing all dark clothing.
Pedestrians tend to think they're more-visible than they really are. Plus, drivers' brains prioritize tracking the location of _vehicles_ - they're bigger than pedestrians and bicyclists, and they present a greater threat. Long ago, as a pedestrian or bicyclist I noticed that drivers didn't see me - even during the day. At night, I try to wear reflectives down low, where low/dip beam headlights are more likely to catch them. I keep a reflective ankle band in the car, in case I have to stop and get out along the road at night. My OCD has me adding reflectives on our vehicles - motorized and non-motorized.

Surprisingly, these two are the only major accident videos we've captured in the 10 years since we installed the digital cameras (one of the clips is from 2016). I have tons of robbery videos though. Mostly thieves stealing from cars (they try opening all the doors to see if one was left unlocked), and a few breaking and entering. I've gained respect for tempered glass. I have video of a glass door absorbing several hammer blows without shattering. And another of a thrown brick bouncing off a glass window.
#2... Why don't people pull over for emergency vehicles? #3... I'd take the guy to small claims over the deductible. The dashcam is all a judge needs to look at to get a favorable verdict. #5... Video footage shows who the liar is. #7... I hope she doesn't try to claim the building backed in to her. #9... Something tells me both drivers were uninsured, or had wants / warrants. #17... Well, if the inexperienced driver learns the hard way about this kind of thing without being seriously hurt, that might be a silver lining. The car is totalled. Airbags deployed.
I didn't hear any gun shots in the video nor were any bullet holes seen in the after pictures, just door dings being passed off as damage done by "Shooting", unless you prefer to have everyone arrested without any evidence
It wasn't a gun. That's why they didn't arrest him. Those were dents on the cammer's car. Not holes. There was no mention of a gun being used. "Shooting something" is what was said during the video.

The swerve left was when I braked hard and it sent me a bit forward on the yellow line so that's where the car ended up since I didn't get a chance to follow the lane all the way through the curve and straighten out as it happened too fast.
@@dawnagoad9745my town has them, they're pretty swell. They change the lights rapidly to give the oncoming emergency vehicle the green, but there have also been accidents of people who assumed they still had the green and ran a red that quick swapped

Can you call a deer minding it's own business suicidal when you suddenly emerge on it from out of nowhere? I don't think you can.
It did seem a little depressed to me.
They should put the deer crossing signs somewhere else.
Considering a deer ran into my car while I was stopped in traffic, heck yeah those rats with hooves are suicidal.
You can't fix stupid, but you can be found not at fault for hitting them.
I had to run through that frame-by-frame to even see the jaywalker. Props to the cammer.
Would you have been able to see their eyes and teeth if they smiled?

1:53 - Another fail by Brandon not paying attention. Looks like it's even the same day, since the placard is in the same place. A good four seconds to avoid any problems there, Brandon.
3:10 - Speeding car was probably doing something very wrong, and didn't seem to even try to slow down when off the road.
3:30 - Probably better to hit the brakes than the gas there. Also, don't pass a truck on the right when they're signaling right. Car is a full carlength behind the truck when the signal starts, and the truck was obviously moving over due to the other truck on the shoulder. Truck could very well have checked the mirrors and this idiot drives up next to them after the truck is already pulling over.
5:45 - Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. At least the kid will probably be a safer driver. And yeah, when all the airbags go off, it's probably totaled.
7:50 - Always aim for the butt. They're going to dodge forward 99% of the time, even if that puts them in front of you.
8:25 - You don't need the windows down. You just have to be attuned to that sound out of all the others around you. Not having pounding rap music shaking your car helps too. I always hated that one song (by the Police?) that starts off with a siren.
I think Brandon has his handicap placard due to blindness and no detectable brain activity.

2:29 using the parking break is for safety, I use it at ALL TIMES.

yeah, in Ontario, the parking lot 50/50 only applies in the parking lot, not when u r entering a street, truck driver will be 100% responsible
And in the end it went that way. I just had to wait for the insurance company to figure it out. Until then, they just leave you on the hook.
3:04 The double hit and runs are always wild to me, like BOTH parties are just like "NOPE!" and flee.

This video is a perfect storm for road rage. It's a miracle there aren't more accidents with these kinds of drivers on the road.
I believe Brandon's car is the special edition one. It comes with features such as a powerful magnet add onto the front, slowing down or lightly braking is not allowed.
2:61 Why does this tool have their high beams on the whole time? They also swerved to try to hit the truck. The shots were wrong, but the cammer was the aggressor the entire time.
There's some real winners in Rowland Heights, CA 🤦🏾♂️
I can’t believe the cops didn’t arrest the guy in the truck for shooting up your car!!!!! I would press charges!!!😳
I didn't hear any gun shots in the video nor were any bullet holes seen in the after pictures, just door dings being passed off as damage done by "Shooting", unless you prefer to have everyone arrested without any evidence

5:29 It looks like both drivers did the exact same thing entering the turn lane early.
No, you can clearly see I entered at the right time as the lane begins and am within the lines on my side. The other driver was already in my lane before I fully entered my turn lane. They were doing an aggressive move to pass them in the median but didn't realize I was entering my turn lane that they were going to use to pass illegally. My jeep jerked left slightly as evident in the video as I slammed on the brakes and put me on the yellow line before I had a chance to correct and follow the rest of the lane. It had happened too fast and I didn't even have a chance to look to the right to check if was clear to swing that way to avoid.
@@JeepLife92 Where the lane lines line up with the air dam on your hood shows that to be incorrect. Not to mention the other car cut the line well before you even started to make your move.
@@Tomcatt817 from my view my tire was on my side when entering my lane which is probably just the camera angle. I did notice them ahead but couldn't see the lines clearly due to glare to confirm they were indeed over the line until I got closer. I entered the lane at the right time but when I slammed on my brakes I was continuing straight towards the other car which put me over the yellow line slightly since as you can see my jeep jerk back sharply since I couldn't straighten out since I didn't get a chance to check what was on my right to dodge it.
@@JeepLife92 We cannot see your tire, but we can see your airdam lining up perfectly with the lane line until you start to move over. Looking at the angle and knowing where the wheel is compared to the front of the hood, the lane line should actually move left of its position until the wheel starts to make the move over, not right of its position, which is what it does. You crossed the line early.
