Your channel makes me absolutely despise RUclips and their algorithm. Even subscribed your videos never show up on my feed. Great content as always. I’m legit angry you don’t get more love. Keep it up man.
One of the german commentators of motogp used to be a rider himself back in the mid 2000 and its so interesting to hear him talk about the difference these winglets make
This is a great channel, thanks. I think a cultural problem with aerodynamics may be to do with the type of people who are into computers vs the type of people who become extremely talented riders. Even with high powered processing, the culture around data and computer programming longs for standardisation and conformity. In other words, the remark that Marquez has made about the rider becoming less important thank the bike. A talented rider conceives of situations differently to computer models, and has a very different personality type to dare I say 'slightly autistic' people who orient to computer modelling. I think this explains the cultural resistance to aero (and also computer assistance generally, a longer debate in MotoGP). The symbolism of aero, which could be seen as an extension of data spreadsheets and colourful waterfall graphs of flow vectors. Personally I don't mind it, but I do not want to see computer geek people destroy the human element of the sport because they have more cultural power these days.
Even for amateurs, there is nothing like being in full control of your bike/car without any interference of a computer, they were meant only to aid and assist in things that injection and ignition but the moment they started to control the throtle and steering, there is when shit started to happen.
Great content. But apparently these aerodaynamics stuff have made the race worse since overtaking is harder, said the riders. But I noticed that too. Electronics have been applied too much to sort out the most talented riders IMO.
Super high quality content, please never stop
