I believe any whip or scrub is beneficial to the rider rather than just jumping and coasting or just free riding. When you go on a trampoline or go run and jump, ride a BMX or simply run down a set of stairs and jump the last couple . Do this, example. Run down a set of stairs and then the last 4-5 just jump in the air and don’t move your body at all just jump up and like a tooth pick hold in the air and land on your feet. Okay now do that again but this time when you jump bring your legs up and bend your knees and then prepare for you landing. When your in the air and you move least way possible your not only allowing for air resistance to do its thing and slow you down but you also cut thru the air as a brick wall. . Same reason why it’s harder to do a back flip without tucking your knees in. Then the landing, when your on a bike the shock and initial part when your bike meets the ground the force is going yo be much stronger cause the whole bike absorbed the landing. When you “whip” not only do you cut thru the air and cause less resistance allowing you to move a lot faster , but the momentum of your body shifting from up and down or back and forth pushes the weight foward and back down allowing you to get up in the air over your gap and then cut back down as quickly as possibly. Then it helps when you are moving consistent in the air gaining control over the bike so the second you land the shock that’s absorbed is not all distributed in equal parts but is spread out in sections . That’s why you see some riders like more beginners who ramp and don’t whip or move at all in big jumps soon as they land they hit flat on the bike goes down kinda flat and the riders feet slip out and when the bike springs back up it throws the rider off. When they move and try to gain more control when they land usually they land but then they get tossed around and have to fight control usually one leg or arm is thrown off as the body fights it to gain control. Once you master this you don’t just stop with momentum and force , but that cutting thru the air and going up and down as fast as can be, we’ll soon as you land all that shock and energy absorbed your bike, you can see them, the tire will kick sideways and the more pro riders will almost drift sometimes cause they know how to ride and soon as they land they take completely off and they are gone. I’d argue the whip done correctly , vs someone who does not whip. Would be seriously a huge factor in who won. My money on the guy whipping. So much so I’d almost bet his time would be cut down so drastically the person not whipping would realize how much of an advantage and would immediately pick up on it to try and catch back up.

You have no idea WTH you're talking about. AMF updated everything in a company that had basically stopped development when their main competitor (Indian) shut down in 1953. AMF paid for updating everything, making electric starters and disc brakes on all models, same w/ electronic ignition. They developed the Evo motor, 5 speed transmission, rubbermount frames, increased engine size on everything, made the necessary changes to run unleaded fuel and meet new stricter emissions and noise regulations. Oh yeah, also paid for and did did the R+D on the Softail platform, still one of the company's biggest sellers. The problem was the lazy ass union workers who were not happy about streamlining the assembly line and setting quotas, like every other modern manufacturer at the time. Don't speak to what you obviously don't know.

they’ve had the same set of buyers for 40 years. young riders can’t afford hd and don’t want them. They keep selling the same product to the same guys ( who are aging out) They haven’t the quality, performance, value if other brands. Guess who’s doing well… Royal Enfield. Good bikes, anyone can afford them, good looking everyday useful bikes. I have an electra glide but ride my yamaha super tenere, 85 bmw, 72 guzzi far more. why? because they’re better bikes if you don’t want costume jewelry for a biker cosplay fantasy.

I bought leather boots in a Harley store last year. The cost was over $200. It is the double-zipper model. The left side zipper got detached from the leather on the left boot after about 9 months of use. This is how the store handled it: 1. They sent the boots to HD factory for inspection. 2. Two or three weeks later they offered me options: - Get $100 store credit and boots destroyed. - Get the boots back to have them fixed somewhere else. Take a wild guess whether or not I will ever buy anything in a Harley store ever again. Especially after I learned that they went woke.

I am an old biker going back to the early 70s. I never liked Harleys. They were always overpriced junk. I remember an adoring HD fan back in about 1980 showing me some parts he had just bought proudly bearing the official HD logo. He was in shock because there loud and proud was the MADE IN JAPAN label. I will not drink Bud Light ever in fact I won't knowingly go anywhere near ANYTHING that is AB. I also won't use Targay. I am also boycotting Tractor Supply and Carhartt (they forced their employees to take the experimental vaccine). Keep it up Mr Corporation because I guarantee you that I can find a non woke alternative to your overpriced shit without even trying hard. I can keep this up forever.
