- Did you know that oxidation is reversible? Nothing is worse than yellowing. Depending on how you store your shoes, how old they are, etc…your soles may begin to yellow. For today’s episode of Shoe Care Academy, Robert is going to teach you how to unyellow your shoes with RESHOEVN8R Sole Revive.
Each of the three shoes we have today has started to yellow, even those without translucent (icy) rubber soles. Our Sole Revive was specially formulated to remove oxidation with the help of UV light.
When it comes to unyellowing sneakers, the important thing is to apply a thin, even coat across the entire surface you’re working on. Then, cover it with Saran Wrap to keep the Sole Revive moist and effective.

Who needs oxidation removal In a world where people are now paying more for yellow soles ?!
I think the icy soles look like shit oxidized, I really like alotta the player exclusives but alot are icy

@@Jayhal278 I just can't do it piss yellow I woukd rather sole sauce it get it as clear as it could be (UV Setup Style Less Sessions) and worst case ice out the sole with Angelus Dye excellent and finish it with a Matte. Still got 4 more pairs of original release Mocha 3's and the Chutneys that nobody wanted now forgrt it. Original Release of Pure $ 3's gem mint of course mid sole i got to sand down and restore.

I got my playoff 12s un-yellowed, and within 2 weeks, they were yellow again. What is going on? Could it be the box I'm putting it in? Because when I got them done, they were looking great, but in 3 weeks yellow again.

avoid this by scuffing the bottoms lightly with a fine grit sand paper. Wear would do the same but you may slip during the process 😅
Stop using sole sauce !
You always going to lose traction that part the don’t tell you. All about $$$ Jack . We don’t use any sole sauce and we get faster and better results with no traction loss . @thehoodcobbler

Based on my experience..my shoes turned yellow when I didn't wear them...Soo I'm assuming the problem is no light or no oxygen

I tried unyellowing the Jordan 6 chameleons like you did with sole revive but the soles became completely milky. Is there anyway to reverse this or did the sole revive actually remove the iridescent finish on the outsoles?

Love the video! Question though, will this work brightening the brown in the 13s Wheats? The brown seems to have gotten darker as well. I use this method on the white and bottom soles to ice but never tried the rubber brown on 13s wheats. Thanks in advance!

This is good for the icy yellow bottoms of course... but withthe 12s and 13s, i just repaint them. 🤷♂️ much faster. repainting them only takes a couple hours.

@Kyle_man09 so after a while I just made my own box using a tote and a uv light that I bought off of Amazon for 40 bucks. Whatever I can't get out with the uv light I just paint them or dye them.
I have a pair of retro 5 raging bull the bottom are ok but are starting to yellow up here and there my main concern is my right shoe on the right side the rubber on the mid section of the shoe is yellow, idk how since I barely use these shoes and definitely not in the rain, but can the sole reviver be used for them? Sole Revive will work great on the midsole/ outsole. However for other areas of the shoe UV lights are the best way to unyellow your shoes
Y'all got the same 12's on there as me. Mines look brand new since I've only worn them a few times. I grabbed them out the closet after almost a year, and that whole bottom sole is yellow on both shoes 😩😭 I might just send mines in

@@RESHOEVN8R Jordan 5s raging bull . The led is approximately 4 inches away from the shoes . My ice box (self made) is pretty small.
The UV light should be about 12-18 inches from the shoe.

We use Sole Revive to remove yellow stains due to oxidation. However, we recommend applying on midsole and outsole.
Question…?.. are u able to deoxidize shoes that aren’t white.. For example: I have the Motor Sport Black 4s…. And the grey on them are oxidized giving it an ugly grey …. Will this process work for them ..?? TIA

If it is applied appropriately it won't mess with traction or degrade the rubber.

For painting would a air brush be better than a normal brush?
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I've never used an airbrush, but all of my projects have been basic painting
You can do either or. Airbrushes are better if you are covering more surface area.

U gotta wear them keeping them tucked away in the bpx wont stop the yellowing. Its important to wear them as much as possible b4 that starts happening and always avoid water dont wear shoes with icy soles or white rubbber in the rain or snow cuz moisture is wut triggers the oxidation process. If u get them scuffed or dirty just use some wipes to get it off but try ur best to avoid washing icy soles or white rubber for as long as u possibly can. Dont walk thru dirt and grass just stay on dry pavement as much as possible in those shoes with icy soles or white rubber so u dont dirty them to bad and they stay clean for many many years

The outsoles have begun the yellowing process, my only hope is to wear them more regularly and maybe they will unyellow on their own.

I yellowed my Yeezy bones by putting them in bleach and then forgetting about them for over a week 😂 now I cant get rid of that yellow stain for anything. Entire outsole yellow, ruined them joints 😅

The one thing that nobody tells you about. once you apply any sole sauce, you lose traction !

You will not want to apply Sole Revive to any other part besides the Sole. However, this can be done with UV rays to assist with the netting.
